Let's see I'll probably end up forgetting a bunch of people, but I'll try my best.

Damon Albarn is a top favorite of mine. He's the lead singer of Blur and the creator/voice of 2-D from Gorillaz. Gorillaz is my favorite band and I love his voice. I know Jamie Hewlett does the animation for Gorillaz, but I think Damon Albarn has some part in it. Which I hope he does since that would only make me like him even more. Although now that I think about it I know he helped make the 2008 Olympic marketing campaign video that was shown in England that had some of the same styles of the Gorillaz characters so I think he does contribute to an extent in that aspect.

Taking a step back from the talented I also really like Perez Hilton. Which is odd since I usually get annoyed by famous people who don't really have any talents, but I guess he just grew on me. I love to skim through his blog when I have nothing else to do and I think he adds a nice controversial and unnecessary touch to all his posts. I guess his talent is keeping me entertained.

As far as writers go I really like Lewis Carroll. The obvious Alice in Wonderland probably pops into your head when you here his name, which I did like, but I prefer his poetry more. I found his poems like Jabberwocky, The Walrus and the Carpenter, and Father William to be really fun to read and enjoyable altogether.

Only one springing to mind right now is Hugh Laurie. Got into House a couple of years ago and I'm just captivated by the sheer amount of talent the man has. His acting is brilliant. He can switch between American and British accents like that (imagine I just clicked my fingers alright) and he puts on the most convincing limp I've ever seen. Also, he's incredibly funny. He can sing, he can play guitar, he can play piano. He's written songs.

Pretty much everything I could be if I wasn't so lazy.
'It's been a prevalent notion. Fallen sparks. Fragments of vessels broken at the Creation. And someday, somehow, before the end, a gathering back to home. A messenger from the Kingdom, arriving at the last moment. But I tell you there is no such message, no such home -- only the millions of last moments . . . nothing more. Our history is an aggregate of last moments.'

MY TURN

Ricky Gervais is one of the first that came to mind, not only because he's a hilarious guy who can turn any situation into something funny, but because he also seems like such a nice guy. I don't think there's anything I've ever heard him say and then think "I disagree." He's willing to make people laugh at his own expense aswell, which is always cool. His bros Karl Pilkington and Steve Merchant are pretty cool aswell.

Moby because he's just an honest, friendly guy. He seems like the sort of guy who will just live a simple, enjoyable life, making music for enjoyment rather than to get big $$$, he donates a lot of his money to charity rather than wasting it on things he doesn't need.

Morrissey because he's always outspoken and tells things how they really are, and never tries to pretend he's something he isn't. He simply doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, and it shows in his behaviour and his songwriting (which is great and another reason why he's a favourite of mine). Also all of his views are something I can agree with.

Genesis was founded by Peter Gabriel, and Gabriel was the creative force behind all of their best albums. Even so, when the other band members got annoyed with him he selflessly left the band without causing a fuss. Then he went on to continue making quality music, despite all the other bands in the 80s making it big by making generic pop/new wave music, Gabriel continued to make creative and innovative music despite knowing it wouldn't get him a lot of popularity or money. He founded a lot of projects to promote music, including 'World of Music, Arts and Dance' which helps spread music from other cultures + took park in a lot of humanitarian work.
I could write more but I would end up going on a huge tl;dr, needless to say Peter Gabriel is my top favourite.

Stephen Colbert has to be my favorite celebrity, bar none. Of the shows I chose to continue following after I no longer had TV, The Colbert Report is one of those few. His style of anchoring is always fresh and his deadpan, over-the-top expressions never fail to keep me amused. During interviews, he keeps his in-character personality very well so it's evident he's a talented actor and not just someone who needs to read off prompters. His style of comedy (keeping a completely straight face while saying ludicrous things) has heavily influenced my own...which can be both a good thing and a bad thing, depending on who can tell that I'm merely kidding around. Nonetheless, I have yet to watch a bad episode of the Colbert Report, and as long as the show is still around, I'll be there to watch it. Also, bears suck.

lady gaga's my favorite artist. it started when i heard just Dance and was almost ashamed to have it stuck in my head, and poker face blew me away, but the real magic happened in february 2009, when i watched a video from the fame ball tour of paparazzi. i can't even put into words how it made me feel. from then on i needed more and more, and when the video for it came out it was amazing.

Sir Terry Pratchett~

Author of the amazing Discworld series. He has written over 40 books that correlate to Discworld, and many other sci-fi and fantasy books besides. I have all of his books that are available in the USA (besides one) and many that are only sold in Britain (hooray for Amazon!).
...Unfortunately, he has a form of Alzheimer's that affects the nervous system. He won't be writing for much longer, I don't think. But he has said that he will continue to write to his last, and I will always be a fan of him and his works~

Me, I honestly don't care about celebrities at all. Don't see much of a point about really having a favorite. Although, I could understand if someone says a musician.

I've just never been a celebrity person.

...But NOT some wierdo singer. XD Never really got why Lady Gaga and them are popular at all. Can't sing at all, songs are terrible. (In my opinion)

Katy Perry: well she is great signer and she is a very beautiful woman.
I started liking/listening to her when Hot'N'Cold started playing on the radio and that tune just got stuck in my head for a long time, then a lot of her other songs came out and I loved everyone of those (Especially her two newest ones, Teenage Dream and California Gurls XD) So yeah, I'm a long time Katy Perry fan :D

Hayley Williams: well she is also a great signer and a beautiful woman.
I started liking/listening to her when I saw her music video for Misery Business.
That song was so good that I would check Fuse everyday to see if that music video came on and like I said above, a lot of her songs started coming out and I liked everyone of them.

If I was asked this question on the spot without having to think, the one female actress that would come to mind would be, Jennifer Love Hewitt. She became most famous for her movie premiere in "I Know What You Did Last Summer," and again in the sequel, "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer." If anything, she has been more of a role model to me than just a favorite celebrity. She's very universal (and while many actors these days are universal), she's done a vast amount through her career, from acting, singing, publishing her own book, getting involved with a comic series, etc.

She's the type of celebrity who keeps a clean slate. She doesn't get herself involved into something that can create controversy nor does she give herself too much attention for it to go to her head. You can say that she's a very self-standing woman, who can fight her own battles. Which is what I admire the most; especially in today's world where women have to really stand to their opinions to be taken seriously by most.

I would say that I've grown more attached to her character as Melinda Gordon on Ghost Whisperer than anything else though. It's where I got to know her, how well she can act, and through that I learned more about who she is as a person. I'd definitely consider her my favorite celebrity without having to even think about it.

On a side note, I consider it funny how I saw the aforementioned movies starring Jennifer Love Hewitt at a younger age, but I never realized it was her until I actually read more about her when I got into Ghost Whisperer.
