This is mostly just a gallery for my stuff, but feel free to critique. I know some of you have an opinion.

Go ahead and critique me how you will. Even if I react negatively at first, I'll probably end up taking your advice in the end. harsh criticisms are the best... Especially those that emphasize the little details that ruin the big picture... I try to find them but sometimes they slip by. :\

I'll add more as I can... And until my Tablet is reordered it'll just be pencil drawings or mouse doodles. But yeah... Critique how you see fit. :)

Colored Pencil Eagle
Spoiler:

First drawing I ever did in ALL COLORED PENCIL.
I was trying to get better at coloring in general so a monochromatic colored pencil drawing seemed best.

Dragon
Spoiler:

This was a random thing really. I was determined to color it. I have a love/hate relationship with the sky though. It was supposed to look way different but I had mixing and blending issues.

Wolf
Spoiler:

I did a bad job texturing this. I got really rushy. Not to mention the muzzle is too short and the eye is too big. Hehe
I'd normally blame the ungodly hour I did it (1 AM) but that is no longer the case.

Latias with Vulpix Plushie
Spoiler:

This was a present for TwilightBlade. It was also really rushed with color and inking because I only had five minutes to get it scanned before I lost the ability to do so for a few days. Hehe

Lion-bird-snake chimaera of sorts
Spoiler:

First Scratchboard I had done in years... and it is blatantly obvious. I overdid a few spots, though it does make for nice contrast with the inverted shading.

Realistic Wargle
Spoiler:

My DSi camera skewed the quality, but this was my entry for the 5th gen draw-off. I didn't even make it past round 1, which saddened me.

Realistic Jolteon (WIP)
Spoiler:

I'm still not sure where to go with this. ._.
I was suggested to make it a wallpaper digitally but I also want a completed traditional art version as well.

Colorful bird
Spoiler:

Why do all my good colored pencil drawings have to be birds? ._.
This was a polychromatic attempt (I failed with the wing and tail positioning....) at a tropical bird of sorts I did on a piece of cardboard I found in my closet.

Lion and Tiger
Spoiler:

I did this on DAMuro. I was bored and wanted to see if i could still draw with a mouse. I can... but my finger died in the process. ._.
I'm excited to see what I can do with a tablet at this rate.

Minato Namikaze Lion
Spoiler:

A gift for my friend.
I had concocted the idea myself... but his reaction when I told him kind of obligated me to do it. :)
Totally messed up with the coloring but he likes it so, I dunno.

Just Let Me Dream
Spoiler:

This one was done when I stole my friend's tablet for a few hours. Believe it or not this is the first tablet drawing I have ever done. Though in some spots it is pretty obvious...

Hooray for coping mechanisms.....

Tiger drawing - poor pencil shading

Spoiler:

I did a bad job shading this.... I don't even have a way to defend it. Maybe Burgundy wasn't the best color to mix with orange. I don't know. It made my coloring very erratic. It's kinda sad.

It's an anatomical milestone for me though, really.

Red fox with fail background.
Spoiler:

After the fox, who's neck looks a mite too fluffy, this was a "do it as you go along" thing that didn't end well. The fox only stands out more because it is the only thing good, not so much the color in my opinion.

Shadow sketch
Spoiler:

I decided to draw my cat while she slept. I went crazy with pencil strokes as usual and messed up her fur even though I was looking at her the whole time. Oh well... This is another first for me, at least with this much patience.

Baby lion with pokeplushies (digital)
Spoiler:

Another gift for my friend. This was a recent digitalization of a pencil drawing. I just recently got the tablet soooo... yeah. I frankly like this one more than the original... found here.

Blur abuse Lion
Spoiler:

So with my first tablet picture, I was advised to use more blur... in this, I used nothing BUT blur. But that's the only error, out of many, I will point out. haha

Kogura (Creature for my NaNoWriMo story)
Spoiler:

(copied from my Deviantart)
This is the best picture I've done in the week I've had my tablet... even if it is still rather blur abusive. Hahaha

The Kogura is going to be the subject of my NaNoWriMo story. This one specifically.

The Kogura is a cross between a tiger and a wolf, though this one looks a little panther-y
They are typically the size of a large horse. Males look more wolf-ish while females are feline. They are typically shades of brown, the extremes being black and white, which, like a calico cat is more common in females.

Both extreme colors are rejected in Kogura society.
Shoulder marks vary on crayole, or group.
(Oh, and the glows is my fail attempt at fire.)

Another fail realistic wargle
Spoiler:

TRADITIONAL WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN-
I was bored and decided to polish my skill... and try and fail to experiment with poses.
So much is wrong with it...
And not just the fail background

Wolf and tiger
Spoiler:

A very much early gift for my current pair. <333
I honestly like the wolfy more than the tiger. It is blatantly apparent that the wolf was the major recipient of the time and effort on this picture. But I was playing around with anatomy and posing mostly. Same viewpoints as usual, it seems.

Lion and tiger - in battle-ish
Spoiler:

This was a three day vent session that I swear I had put on here...Guess not. Hahaha
I know a lot is off... but I was experimenting. Trying ot break from the norm. I like it to an extent because of that...
-original is 3400x3400 pixels-

Reply how you will. :)

I'm diggin' the two birds :D They're the best, in my opinion. One thing i would say you might have to work on is digital art, but then again it's harder than drawing with a pencil or pen.

You're good. ^^ I especially liked the eagle. The only thing I'd suggest is focusing more on the smaller details, i.e. the eagle's feathers. I also think you could spend a little more time on your pencil sketches. They're very well laid-out but your strokes seem a bit rushed and chaotic. Otherwise it looks like you're developing a very nice sense of anatomy, and for what it's worth, you work better with a mouse than I ever could. xD

Yes. Yes it is. I usually did it with a mouse so I felt I had to miss a few details to save my appendages due to my obsession over it. Haha

Once I get my own tablet, however, I will improve. I was honestly just playing with it.

Thank you! I hope to improve.... Because we all know I have a lot of room to.

Yeah. The eagle was colored pencil practice. I think if I did it again I'd add feathers but I just wanted a graphite free drawing,. haha

And yes. I tend to get very chaotic with my pencil strokes. It's a habit I want to break myself of, but it's harder than I thought it would be, ya know? Old habits die hard after all.

Going to update with a major pencil shading fail to emphasize the afore-mentioned stroke problem.

I'm most charmed by the Chimaera, the skill of which you can etch things with the black and white looks fantastic!
Thank you! I did that on scratchboard. But I over scratched a few spots.

I don;t think so, I can still clearly see what it is, and I ilke your way of showing value.
Thanks. but I did over do a few spots. The white started crumbling in those spots. It does still look good though

The eagle drawn in colored pencil is really excellent. My favorite out of these art is the wolf, possible due to my abnormal love towards wolves. :). Your detail is very good.

Some of the colored-pencil drawings seemed a bit messy with the coloring in, but other than that I liked them. I tend to color things in with colored pencil the same way. :S

I especially like the Lion and Tiger ones you did with the DAMuro thing and the tablet. (b'-')b

And do you purposely draw animals from the left side of their faces, or is that a coincidence? Just wondering, I notice weird things like that..... :S

Umm that's always been easier for me. The right side view tends to be harder for me. So it turns out funky. (I noticed it too. Haha)

I'm told it's because I'm right handed but I don't believe that hunk of malarky for a second.

Thanks for the compliments though. c:

I think the fox was really good actually, the background doesn't really matter but it looks better than just white paper. :D

And speaking of the background, you can see some indented things right above the fox's body, probably from when you drew something on the papers above it. XD

If you do backgrounds in the future, you should probably make sure you are using individual pieces of paper, that way they don't leave indents onto each other. (b'-')b

And on the cat one, it seems like it was kind of rushed, imo.

Indeed. But the indents were because on the sketchbook page before it I was fighting with pens. I had to add a lot of pressure so that showed through on the next page and I didn't notice until it was too late. Haha.

And the cat WAS rushed. Good eye. After all, my cat is a living thing and won't stay in one position forever. I wanted to finish it before she left the room.

That's different then, and if you want some inspiration on pencil drawings of cats, here's something:

Very unique drawings!

What tends to bother me is how they always seem to be in the same stance. I'm not sure if you prefer it that way or if its just random.

But otherwise, this is true potential. You make the colours flow easily and you seem to have quite a knowledge of a variety of styles.

Try using more varied colours in your digital stuff, rather than just adjusting the value scale and making colours darker. Right now, the colours are a bit unrealistic; they are much too saturated, with no presence of the duller colours that come with shadows. This works in some of the works that have that cartoony, bright style (Baby lion w/ pokeplushies), but on your more realistic lion and tiger pictures, it falls short.

Your traditionals are better; but I would suggest that you keep looking at and drawing different textures in order to get a more realistic look.

They're good. Keep drawing. :D
