Flail Magikarp with choice band with an adamant nature. Once swept someone on shoddy battle with it ._.

Seriously though, Mewtwo in the first generation was ridiculous as special defense and special attack were the same stat meaning that if he used amnesia both stats would double.

lmfao @ Mewtwo being the strongest. As if.

Anyways, there is no such thing. I've seen people pwn legendaries using anything from Skitty to Vespiquen, so needless to say, it's the trainer that makes his or her own Pokemon strong. You can use Mewtwo and Arceus in your team and still be defeated by someone using average Pokemon; it's happened before and will continue to happen in the future, lolo.

You clearly either didn't read the whole thing or never played generation one.

As you haven't done one of them I don't see how you can laugh at my answer considering:
i know more about generation one than you, he was the most broken thing the generation and the thread isn't about if low tier pokemon can beat ubers and ou's because they obviously can in the right situation.

There isn't a strongest Pokemon, it's the way you train the Pokemon. I myself I have wiped out an Acreus with a Breloom and in a later match an Ampharos, this doesn't make them the strongest. This means I have trained them and use them in a manner which makes them stronger than others. There are plenty that could defeat them, so really, all are as strong each other in their own way. Sure, there are slightly weaker Magikarp but they still have their own strengths.

I don't really think there is any 'all-powerful' Pokemon... But the one I always depend on the most in my team would have to be my Mismagius. I know it has it's weaknesses, but I really love that Pokemon and depend on it like crazy. Or Houndoom.

I think Pikachu might be really strong, sadly. I don't like Pikachu... But I don't think he has very many weaknesses to other types, does he?

Sandslash > ALL. Deal with it. They should make a new move called "Mega Claw" that only he can use, over 9000 damage pl0x.
Yeah, and then someone from GameFreak would hire Chuck Norris to give the owner of the opposing pokemon a roundhouse kick to the face:)

Each Pokemon is strong in their own way, but Arceus has a fair chance at being the God.
Since, it's my own opinion I think Mew would be the strongest.
It makes Pokemon faint with it's cuteness

:cer_boogie: Once again, this awesome and timeless quote comes to mind:

Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best. I like your style. You understand what's important. Go on--the Champion is waiting.

Tiers are for queers! :cer_pissed: (can be applied to Pokemon as well, not just Smash Bros.)

Though, the most powerful Pokemon would probably have to be one of the following, IMO:

Mewtwo
- if Ash hadn't interfered in the first movie, I really wonder what further havoc would have been wrought upon humanity...

Arceus
- highest Base Stat Total of all Pokemon should say something! And he made the rest of the Pokemon!

Garchomp
(especially Cynthia's) - that thing is just terrifying. Every time I see it getting mentioned, it becomes even more menacing... And one completely decimated Paul's team in an epic Crowning Moment of Awesome!

Ash's Pikachu
- that thing has been able to use hax four times now! (Thunder Armor, Counter Shield, Aim 4 Teh Horn, and Volt Tail) WTF?! Additionally, he was able to trump his own evo not once, but twice; beat the Legendary Pokemon Regice, and tie with a Latios!)

Ash's Charizard
- Overcame a major type disadvantage, as seen here. And he was able to defeat an Articuno and "tie" with an Entei!

Blaziken - Personally, I can attest to its strength (it was my first starter ever! :D). And so can this. Any Pokemon that can clash Ash's Charizard like that with a type disadvantage and win is a powerful one, indeed. IMO, a truly monumental battle in Pokemon history, after seeing Charizard win so many times...

I know this mentality is all good and stuff, but I'd like to point something out. (well, first off, you sorta counted stats and all when you said Arceus, but let's not mind that). I would love to see you fight with a Luvdisc and it's incredibly crappy stats and try to win against a Gyarados or something. It just doesn't work that way, lol.

There is no such thing as the "strongest" pokemon, that much is true. However, there are "stronger" and "weaker" Pokemon relative to each other. That much is also true; it's pretty much assured. What actually constitutes these stronger and weaker Pokemon lists...well, some things are obviously strong (ie. Gyarados, Dragonite, Salamence, GARCHOMP) and some things are obviously weak (unevolved stuff, Loldisc, Suckle, etc), but what makes up the middle portion is harder to define.

Meh.
Everything ends,
and that's always sad.
But everything begins again, too,
and that's always happy.

It all depends on how you play pokemon, like I find Alakazam and Gengar are better than legendaries like Groudon and Articuno, because I play in the style of a pure sweeper. Other people will disagree and say that Blissey or Skarmory are the best because they can take almost any Special or Physical hit respectively.

It all depends on how you play Pokemon.
