I believe our university also has a T1 connection, at least the hard-wired internet in the dorms.

I know it's fast enough for my Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to function properly (most of the internet wi-fi hotspots I visit aren't fast enough).

I really can't do with less than a T3.

Your university cannot possibly be using a T1 for dorms, since a T1 only carries 1.44 Mbps, if your intenet speeds are higher than that. It's probably using fiber optic cable using SONET.

I'm not a big fan of texting. It's a pit of bad grammar :/
Not when I text people. ;)

The dorms at my school had like 30-40mb download. I miss that internet so much, even if we had ridiculous bandwidth caps. (Except my second dorm... they forgot to cap me or something. That was awesome. 8D)

Unfortunately the wifi on campus itself is so awful that it's not even worth signing onto unless I absolutely need to grab something from a course website. :( It's deteriorated immensely over the years. *sigh*

Ugh, I wish I can connect to the internet a lot. But I've learned to cope with "borrowing" Internet Connections. 8(

@charizard yeah thats right

And my download speed is about 10 Mbps and my max that BT estimated I can get in my area is about 14 even though the cap thingy is for 20 so not too bad but technically I should be getting double :'(
Yes! I got one right! +1 for me :D

But, I seriously hate how my internet is connected to my phone line :/

My download speed depends on how fast my internet is.

At my mom's, it can be really fast or really slow; at my dad's it's fast unless he gets a phone call (which usually ends up being a sales call >_>;). And then for some reason it always seems to die around 20:30 for a few minutes.

I am pretty sure that mbps stands for megabits per second, rather than megabytes. megabytes are represented as MB, whereas megabits as mb (or Mb).
Yeah. Since there's a big difference between a bit and a byte.
A bit refers to a single Binary character, either 0 or 1, whereas a byte refers to a combination of 8 bits. That's a pretty big difference.

ERZA THEME /hides before she goes into FT-fantard mode

Other than that, I have no clue what I have. Unless Verizon counts (my dad's Wi-Fi). And we use Linksys at my mom's...

I think you mean "Who is your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?"

I have a cable provider called Mediacom as my ISP at the moment, though that may change to a different telecom company called Century Link, which recently bought out Embarq, the company that used to provide our telephone services.
