      CNG: I apologise if my wording confused you. What I meant was can you set maps to connect directly like in essentials (like say how Pallet Town and Route 1 connect) or will you have to use a teleport event or intermediary building (like from Karakusa town to Route 2 in BW).

      By the way, Tsutarja looks great. Will the sprites animate in the Menu screen and/or Pokedex as well? And if you wanted a tileset pack for inclusion with your starter kit, I have a bunch of originals or a custom chopshop pair that I think would be okay for you to use.

        I got a problem while downloading your demo...

        according to norton360 the file contains a Sonar virus, so it and the file got removed immediately after the download...

          Norton is just really dumb, it happens with me alot on every single compressed RPG game. It's just a weird thing that norton does so all you need to do is restore the file.

              What's with the stats? Surely a level 36 Venusaur would have more than 29 HP (in fact, the minimum HP of a Pokémon, other than Shedinja, is its level + 10). I hope you're going to fix that :P

              I'm not sold on this yet, however. Do we really need two RMXP starter kits? How major are the improvements over Essentials going to be? For example, how would you (eventually) go about setting up, say, a battle against a Gym Leader, specifying the Pokémon they have, the levels they're at, their moves, and their held items?

                Yeah i haven't completely finished the stats and IVs yet, i'm still working on that, so that's why the Venusaur only has 29 HP :3

                As for Gym Leaders and trainers and everything, i'll be making it as easy as i can, but i haven't thought that far ahead yet, i'm still working on the more basic things.

                The main reason i created this kit, wasn't to be Poccil's competition, or to 'steal' away the users of his kit, it was to better my own abilities, which i can safely say is working :D

                      awsome...how many frames did that take...if im gunna convert all my sprites to this (not sure if i am or not) ill need to make em bigger and animated, just one question

                      will there be a shadow script or will i have to make my shadows part of my sprites...i dont mind either way

                            Yeah, i'll be adding that soon.

                            Update!
                            HP Calculation is now better, but not perfect. Now calculates by level instead of just random.
                            I've added another big feature, Evolution, which works perfectly. No scene for that yet though.

                            Also edited the first post with a new thread layout. I know it's been used before, but i like it, and it sets the thread out in a clean cut sort of way and makes everything much more organised.

                                        Hmmmm...hehe. Interesting. I'm extremely happy you did this CNG. Though, I'm losing the feeling for making Pokemon Games, but your putting it right back in me. Is there anything you need help with? I could rip sprites for you or something, spread the word of the starter kit. Also, judging on the screenshots and all....I'd say this will be a hit. Excellent job CNG, I'll be looking forward to seeing more in the future. Also, are you going to make it so you have to go into a text file and such? Those seemed to be a waste of disk space. Also, have you thought of how to call a battle scene? (I'm thinking of reviewing games and such btw)

                                          As for the battle system, i've said before that i'm not done with the bits needed for it to work yet.
