Yes I am an activist. I am an activist because I stand for people that are disabled and I also stand for animals that are used to test things on them and it is not fair to any of them. The disabled people it isn’t their fault they are like that so you shouldn’t make fun of them because it doesn’t help their condition. The abused animals are poor less animals and they can’t help but stand what they go through like being burnt alive to see how much they can stand it and these people that do that have no hearts what so ever and it ticks me off I just want to join on them and beat them up and burn them alive to they can feel the pain that the animals have gone through.
Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.

Sort of, I haven't done much other than debate and defend certain people, but even that might help over time. And I hope to do more, but for now I would rather not out myself too much.

Not really, no, and for different reasons depending on the issue. For most it's because I'm just not the rallying type and admittedly I'm kind of apathetic even if it's something relevant to me. I'm not one to hold very strong opinions or try to speak out about political or societal things.

For others, like animal abuse, I'm a very sensitive soul and to be a real activist about it would require me to think about the atrocities of people more often than I can handle. I just hope there are enough tougher folks to make up for it.

For the causes that I deem worthy of activism, I can be a VERY LOUD activist. That's just the way I am. Fortunately there are very few causes that I find the need to be that extremely vocal about.

Still, I have always challenged the ways of thinking that need to be challenged. I may not be wise in my years just yet, but I can smell when something is wrong, and I will rise to challenge it every time.

For animals of course I would stand up for them. (like the Japanese killing the whales!)

But for disabled people..... Well it depends what their conditions are. Like there was a lady in England on the radio trying to get the rights to kill her paralysed husband in court. He couldn't move any part of his body, yet his mind still functioned perfectly, so his wife wanted to put him and herself out of that misery, of course the husband, not being able to speak couldn't consent to being given the deadly injection so it was up to his wife to try and make it become legel, as it was cruel to let him live and if she killed him she would be charged with murder. Those are the people I really feel sorry for. The people who are born... like the way they are, I tend not to really pay attention to them and prey that I wont have a child like that, I wouldn't have the energy or the will power to take care of them (if they were paralysed in a wheelchair). I do know a lady whose daughter has some sort of mental disability, but she is adorable and really nice. She just makes noises with her mouth, and she always helps everyone out at soccor, like rushes over to random people to carry their stuff etc.

No, I'm not an activist.. and even if I was, I wouldn't be the type of one to "join" causes. I'd do things on my own to help, because I don't believe that organizations are formed PURELY for the cause.. and I hate the sleezy undersides of business things >_>

I don't get involved with activism. I'm not the one to go around defending an issue that is important and try to convince others to join in. I'm also not the type of person to go to rallies or anything like that. I like being in big crowds like fairs and anime cons, but nothing that's like a hot button issue like that Glenn Beck rally last month.

I'm unlikely to take part in any activism unless it directly affects me or is an issue large enough to generate a lot of attention. These days there really isn't anything I find worth standing up for. If some sort of massive national political protest was going on, then I'd likely take part; I don't think it's likely that anything like that would happen though. Everything I see is just too minor for me to care about.

Too many people have the "one person can't make a difference" attitude, including myself. People just don't have the willpower to band together and fight for a cause anymore, so nothing ever happens on a large scale. Those that still to try and protest rarely get attention, and even if they do get attention then they're extremely lucky if they actually manage to bring about some sort of notable change. Seems like too much effort just to make a tiny difference.

Damn, I WISH I am! XD

Well the reason I'm not is because I'm not the kind of person to go around, recruiting people for a cause I think is just, because I believe that's kind of rude(which is why I hate groups, except my lounge group), and I can't take stuff seriously except if it has complete proof. So to answer your question, I am not an activist. But I will, if I ahve to.

...Not really.

I'm a fairly outspoken person, and I'm not afraid to let me voice be heard on certain issues. I have a firm set of beliefs, like most people, but I don't typically go out of my way to join organized activist groups.

...However, I will be attending Jon Stewart "rally to restore sanity" later on this month :P

You sir, are awesome.

I'd like to be more of an activist, but unfortunately for me I live in enemy territory (from a political standpoint) and dissenting opinions aren't favored too well.
