Some, if not all of us no what when you're putting all your cards on the table, or giving it your all and saying: "I won't lose."

[Had this against Lance, Pokemon Stadium, I so wanted to kick his ass.]

Ever had one of those moments? If so did you win/lose? Or did you experience this with one of your friends/family members/strangers?

I do this countless times when I'm playing a video game with my two brothers, most though this is on Super Smash Brothers Brawl because when it comes to those two, I'm competitive, I mean very competitive as I always want to beat the two best video gamers in the house. So I say, "I'm not going to lose" but nearly every time I do say this, I end up losing to both of them (and maybe even the computer ;;) instead.

Well it all depends on the situation!

When I play card games or board games... I won't lie I'm a notorious cheater. Especially when I play against my brother because we sort of have like a sibling (kidding around) rivalry and I hate when he wins because he rubs it in my face. D: Although I do the same thing so yeah! :x So technically when I say to myself, "I'm going to win." then yeah I am because I always cheat. :D

Whenever I enter some sort of contest whether it be online or in real life I tell myself I won't win so if I don't I won't be all bummed out. The nice part about that is if I do win I feel 3473984739x happier then if I told myself I was already going to win. I guess that's somewhat psychological~

So overall I tend to tell myself I will lose just because I like the satisfaction of proving myself wrong. I don't know if that's weird, but it works for me!

I never had a moment like that against someone when it comes to card games or anything like that.

However, there was this one time I was playing Pokemon Diamond and I was facing Cynthia in the final battle. I was doing good as usual until she brought out her Spiritomb, which took out 3 of my best Pokemon, including my starter and my remaining Pokemon were weak to it. I had to sacrifice one of my last Pokemon to revive a couple of them that had strong attacks and it finally allowed me to beat that damn Spiritomb.

I guess that's my "I won't lose" moment.

Wait. Forget I mentioned this. I had A LOT of "I won't lose!" moments during Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. I literally had to come from behind almost of the time on very, very hard missions.

I say that I won't lose when I play a video game with a family member that they have never played before/I'm good at, because I know they won't win, but there is a slight chance they could, so sometimes I don't bother saying that to them. But a little competition isn't bad. :D

In seriousness...plenty of times, in arguments and tête-à-têtes. Whether it's a battle of wits or if there is more on the line, I'm always very determined to win over my opponent. Usually enough I'm not a very competitive person, however, if somebody were to challenge me in any way and if I had good reason to accept, then you can be sure I'd do my best to call the shots.

With simple light-hearted games with other people? I'm not extremely passionate, more lax and apathetic.

An RPG with an intriguing plot and main characters struggling for survival? There's no way you can progress unless you apply endeavour.

I do this a lot actually. I tend to slack off, then get serious and pull out the Win at the last possible second. And I slack because i know im going to win anyway. xD

A week ago In Wii baseball, I came back from a 4-0 deficit in the bottom of the last inning against my cousin and won the game 5-4. Another awesome one was when I actually pulled Exodia out in a Yu-Gi-Oh duel a long time ago. Major swagger points for that one.
