was reading some article about evolution in mammals as a result of global warming and humans being born later on down the line with heat-resistant skin came to mind. looks like the medical community is ahead of that thought: http://www.discoveriesinmedicine.com/Apg-Ban/Artificial-Skin.html

(pretty awesome, thought i'd share... and apparently synthetic skin will be cheap and versatile once fully developed.)

so what do you think of prosthetics in general- their benefits, their costs, clinical trials, what they augur for humanity in the future; and perhaps share a personal experience if you have one.
