Homework is a necessary evil. I don't hate it, but I'm a horrrible procrastinator, and I've already been facing consequences. It's way more easy to stabilize newly acquired knowledge if you've to do a homework about it. Leaving me with not only one, but 2 problems if I don't do my homework.

Don't need it, never will. End up spending most of my time doing "homework" on websites like this. I'll basically wind up doing anything to get out of it. I also like to think of myself as a fantastic liar so my teachers are none the wiser. And as long as my grades stay in the mid 90's like they are now, who cares.

Good thing for me almost every homework that's not a major assignment is optional. Still, doing them is beneficial to help stabilize the lesson in my mind and even lead to a better understanding of the topic at hand. If I was less lazy, I'd probably choose to do the homework more often. A spell of completely ignoring them (lasted like a month or so) dropped my marks down by quite a bit. Don't want that to happen again.

Aw dammit. I had a primo response typed up but then my net went out!

Long story short, homework is a tool that many teachers use ineffectively. It is supposed to reinforce the idea or practice. If you give it everyday, the students will get tired of it, and tend to do a lackluster job on even the more important of things. If you don't know how to do something right, and go home and do it wrong theeeen, well, you will learn it wrong.

Even shorter story shorter, homework is boring, but vital(if utilized correctly.)

In my school, i find that homework doesn't really matter to normal schoolwork. Makes the point of it very silly.

Homework is pretty pointless, imo, because people don't apply themselves to doing the work. Instead, assignments are of much more value because they take a lot longer to complete and involve more brain processes.

Probably my least favourite thing in life. I really don't the need to do extra work outside of school. I like to think of myself as a relatively smart person, but if my grades begin to decilne drastically, I guess that I will be forced to increase my workload

We have enough work at school, what's the point of bringing it home? It gets forgotten and eaten by dogs. So just scrap it I say.

As much as I do despise homework, I do learn a lot from doing it and it helps my grades.

The Homework is a Lie.

...that's what I think. I hate it. I don't see its benefit at all. I rarely do it and I still pass my classes.

The thread was a little past a month old. :( Feel free to re-make if you want, but until then...
