I think that this is a very effective video for students to see for sex education. It's a bit old, but it covers all the important stuff like STDs, puberty and condoms while keeping relevant to the audience. :) Way more effective than the "don't do it or God won't love you!" crap I get in my Catholic school.

Anyway, I just tend to zone out during "birds and the bees" stuff. I'm a crazy, video-game-playing, zombie-invasion-survival-planning, artistic redhead straightedge hippie girl. I'll never get laid bwahahah. XD

What's a "chav"? ._. Never heard that term before.
I guess it's only used in Britain then. Anyway a chav is... um, hard to explain.
Maybe pictures will speak louder than words:

I got a lot of AIDS education in high school and that overlapped a lot with what I learned from the single sex ed class that the freshmen had to take (why they didn't have a refresher course for the seniors I don't know). That was enough fear/information to make me cautious and drill into me that nothing is more important than your own health and safety when it comes to sexual matters. It was an okay education, I suppose, but I wasn't that well versed in the finer points of sexual health (like how to recognize an infection) since my high school mostly taught us to "say no" and how to ask someone you wanted to have a close encounter with to take an STD test first. So I took a human sexuality class at the community college and now I know plenty more.

I think some people believe that even if they do catch something that they can get it treated and not have to worry about it so they act more careless. That, and all the regular reasons people don't think, i.e., "It can't happen to me," etc.

From what I gather...Chavs are the British equivalent of gangsters/hoodlums.
I suppose to some extent yes. Although they don't have to be in a gang.

Eugh, I just could never understand the thinking behind teaching abstinence in school. It's not going to stop them having sex and it's not going to help them when they do.
We had a half hour thing where a group came to teach us about it and even the teachers laughed at it afterwards.

I'm well educated on sexual health and I'm pretty sure I know all I need to know at this point. Its the chavs/idiots who need to know who usually ignore it all.

The best way to describe chavs is some idiots who always wear the same brands of clothing, such as mckenzie. They generally get hammered and have anti-social behaviour. A lot of people get called a chav just for wearing them clothes because they like them.

Though, saying that, they normally are. They are complete cowards on their own or if there is two of them. But in a group they think they are the ****.

They have the IQ of a pea between them and are just idiots.

My parents were too chicken to tell me about sex. I learned from the books they gave me and school abstinence classes. And Wikipedia. xD Thankfully now I know enough to get me and a partner checked before doing anything...even though I've never really done anything. Ya never know.

Great post devoted to sexual health. Sexually transmitted diseases (STD's) are a terrible plague on planet earth. They can range from slight discomfort to fatal disease. That's why you have to protect yourself against them. Whether it ends in rash or death, getting an STD is horrible and embarrassing.

I know all I need to know! (Someone just cried reading that terrifying statement.)

Given, I plan to be abstinent.

I would seem to be perfectly healthy, with the exception of an irrational phobia.

I know plenty. I'm not doing those kinds of things anyways.

They most certainly do teach about that in my school. they put the freshies in a health class and drop the lessons on you like an anvil to the head.
STDS, how to spot and prevent them, using protection, waiting till your ready,

That doesn't mean the kids listened.

The homeroom i used to be in...Half of the girls already have, or are going to have babies D;

And if a boy would do that in that age, he'd be a man. Real smooth.
Sadly, It's the truth.

the guy would be dubbed as a "Man" while the girl would be called A LOT of other things...

Sad really, how the people work.
