[FONT=Cabin Sketch][SIZE=3][COLOR=Blue]Met my rival, Sammu, who I destroyed
Ha! I managed to miss that in your last update. I did give you a nasty team didn't I... Chansey was bad enough, but Scyther too! Can't actually think of a more difficult pair of Pokemon to get hold of, seeing as Feebas didn't exist in Gen II...

Alright, so here is the final update on my Leaf Green Challenge! We left off with me beating the elite four for the first time, but not having enough Pokemon to head for the rest of the Sevii Islands...

- Wandered around Kanto, catching 15 more pokemon, mostly in the Safari Zone and other random locations.
- Went back to Professor Oak and received the National Dex.
- Headed for One Island, retrieved the Ruby and gave it to Celio. Got the Rainbow Pass to head all over the Islands.
- Went out to Four Island - beat the Rockets and helped Lorelei out there.
- Headed for Five Island - went up through the Water Labyrinth first, then went to Five Isle Meadow and Memorial Pillar. Saw the Rocket Warehouse, but couldn't access it yet...
- Six Island was next - beat the trainers on the Water and Green Paths first, then went down to the Ruin Valley. Thought I was getting a sapphire, but this mad scientist came and stole it.
- Cleared the Rocket Warehouse back on Five Island. Gave the sapphire to Celio, and now apparently I can trade with Hoenn... and stuff.
- Beat the trainers on Seven Island.

At this point, my team was around Lv. 58, so I grinded them to 65 using the Vs. Seeker on the trainers in Sevault Canyon. Then.... Elite Four time!

Lorelei - not too bad to beat - Hitmonlee led off and beat Dewgong, Jolteon took care of Lapras, Blastoise then got Piloswine, Jolteon then took care of Cloyster, and Ninetales wrapped things up against Jynx.

Bruno - Ninetales took down both Steelixes. Also tried to beat Hitmonchan, but it just didn't happen. Hitmonlee came in and finished Hitmonchan off. Machamp was next, and Cross Chopped Hitmonlee basically to oblivion - 2 HP left. Luckily... Reversal!! Took care of Machamp and Hitmonlee with ease. Didn't heal Hitmonlee after the battle - just in case I needed to do something with it later.

Agatha - Jolteon's Bite proved invaluable here. It took down the Gengars, and Thunderbolt got Crobat. Marowak got in against Arbok, and Blastoise finished off Misdreavus after Jolteon couldn't get it done.

Lance - Jolteon beat Gyarados - 'nuff said there. Then, Thunderbolt knocked out Aerodactyl too. Blastoise took down one Dragonite and heavily damaged the second, but Jolteon had to finish off that one. Hitmonlee's Reversal (!) took care of Kingdra quite easily.

Gary - Ninetales took care of Heracross and Venusaur, but almost got knocked out in the process. Hitmonlee was sent out to destroy Tyranitar (with like 5 HP now)... but Sand Stream... Yeah... So Marowak got Tyranitar fairly easily. Gyarados went down to a good Thunderbolt as always, and Jolteon used Bite a few times to take care of Alakazam. Arcanine was really annoying, since he kept using Full Restores, but Blastoise + Surf won out eventually...

And with that, I became the Champion! Again! And The Ones That Got Away Challenge was complete! I really enjoyed this challenge - though I think I got a fairly easy, balanced team to work with.

Quick-and-dirty evaluations:

Jolteon: Thunder Wave/Bite/Secret Power/Thunderbolt. This guy was quite the beast. He's fast and has great Sp. Atk. Not incredibly versatile though - the Special Attacks are basically limited to Electric moves and Bite. Would've been awesome if I gave him a Hidden Power that worked well. GRADE: A-

Blastoise: Surf/Ice Beam/Strength/Bite. I had used Blastoise in R/B/Y, but never in FR/LG. I was impressed, as always, with its versatility (usually Bite is replaced with Earthquake), but not so much with his power. Killing Dragonites used to be easy... GRADE: B-

Marowak: Bone Club/Bonemerang/Double-Edge/Brick Break. Marowak is one of those not-so-good ground types. I know he has potential if you have the Thick Club item, but without it, he is just not that great. Rock Head + Double-Edge is nice though. Grade: C-

Hitmonlee: Foresight/Brick Break/Reversal/Secret Power. This guy was pretty powerful. I know that I could've equipped him with better moves, but he did fine without them. Reversal was killer - boost the speed a bit and it can outrun anything. Has the potential to be a staple, especially as a fast fighter. Grade: A

Ninetales: Confuse Ray/Will-O-Wisp/Secret Power/Flamethrower. I wasn't all that impressed with Ninetales. For competitive battling, I can definitely see it functioning as an annoyer type, but for in-game battling, having your only real move as Flamethrower is kind of a killer. Defense is pretty low too. Grade: C-

Finally finished! I enjoyed the challenge very much, and I am considering taking it to an Ultimate-level challenge. Not now though. Thanks all!

Update #1

Professor Oak (PO): Hello there! Welcome to the world of Pokemon!
Brandon (B): Hi
PO: My name is Oak! People call me the Pokemon Prof! This world is inhabited by creatures called Pokemon. For some people, Pokemon are pets. Others use them for fights.
B: That's pretty gruesome.
PO: Myself... I study Pokemon as a profession. First, what is your name?
B: Brandon.
PO: That's a fine name. This is my grandson. He and his sister are my only relatives to me in the town. Err... What is his name again?
B: Bl... Becky.
PO: Ahh, that's right! Becky! Brandon! You're very own Pokemon legend is about to unfold! Leap forward to new adventures!
*Poof*
B: Wait, how did I get to my room? Well might as well get a Potion from my PC...
Mom (M): Right, all boys leave home someday. It said so on TV.
B: I don't think Stand by Me logic is the best form of parenting.
Outside
B: Well, might as well go into this poorly kept grass.
PO: NOOOO! It's not safe, wild Pokemon live in tall grass. Here, come to my lab.
B: Ok.
At the lab
Becky (Be): Gramps, I'm tired of waiting.
PO: Wha hrmm? Oh, Becky, I forgot I told you to come. Brandon, I have 3 Pokemon. You can grab whatever one you want.
B: Hrmm...:t001: , :t007: , or :10: .Well, duh I'm picking the fire lizard.
Be: Well, I'll just pick the water turtle then.
B: :king:
PO: Ok, you can bond a little bit while I get things ready.
Be: Hey, Brandon, let's fight!
B: Fine. Go, Aidan!
*One thrashing later*
Be: You won this round, but I'll be back!
B: Ok

Not story update until hands aren't frozen and spelling not atrocious, and not upset over getting the "no we cannot post this because you have logged in si..." page and having all the info I typed up erased.

Spoiler:
With Marlene by my side and willing to help, I headed back to Briney's home and hitched a lift back to Dewford- I only just remembered that I had a letter to deliver, and Marlene's home was where he was likely to be. Making my was through the pitch dark caves would be really difficult, I think, if Marlene hadn't lived in them her whole life. With her guiding me- and occasionally forcing a roadblock (I think those may have been pokemon, actually, but it's too dark to tell) out of the way- we made it through the caves fairly quickly and found the person the letter was supposed to go to. He seemed rather engrossed with the rocks, but thankfully confirmed that he was the 'Steven' that the letter was addressed to. He Thanked us for our trouble after he read it, handed me a TM disc, and left before I could ask him to also keep an eye out for Echo. Pity.
No time to stop, though. If Echo isn't here, he's got to be somewhere else. So back to request another trip from Briney and Peeko. Off to Slateport to look for Echo. Oh, and deliver the package. But that can wait, if Suit-Boss could afford to entrust it to me. Echo is always first priority.
-

North is apparently not an option, because there is an entire squad of Pajama-people blocking the road. Extremely rude ones too.
So Marlene and I set down to eat food and glare at the roadblock brigade.

A shuffling caught my attention, though apparently Marlene noticed it a while before me, and that is how we met the next individual to be willing to help. Him paralysed out of terror, too afraid and too curious to run. Marlene, just offered him food and went back to watching our roadblock. I got the hint and also did so.
Lucas, as it turns out, is an incredibly inquisitive individual, but also one who in incredibly easy to scare. His timidity is through the roof, you might say, but his curiosity sets the whole house on fire.
The factor of his curiosity is probably the major reason that he wants to come, but... I sort of get the feeling... that he, more than anything, wants to push his bounds. It's not like I can ask, with the language barrier, the deep reasons, but that's how I'm interpreting it.
So I took him to show him a bit of the world, and he's not run yet, and he's willing to help me. And that is awesome.
He and Marlene are really hitting it off too. Her lax nature seems to somewhat put him at ease.
-

Pajama-Squad still hasn't moved. So I still can't look for Echo.
Might as well deliver this package to whoever it was.
-

Cue running around because apparently nobody likes to deliver things on their own when they can use me as a delivery service. Ho-oh help us.
Only to run into a crowd of Pajama People inside the museum. One of whom looks rather familiar.

Apparently I was familiar to HIM too, because he jumped upon seeing me, acted more nervous than Lucas, shoved something into my hands, shouted... something that
I didn't catch, and bolted for the door.
That was a bit odd, though I suppose I appreciate the TM?
Ignoring the other members of Pajama Brigade- though from glancing around at the displays I'll have to look around later, because it seems really interesting- I headed up to the second floor trying to find ... what was his name? Recipient of the package, at any rate.

He seemed thrilled to get it, but anything further was interrupted by Pajama Brigade attacking. Lucas, however, was more than a match for their pokemon.
Then, with them taken down, their boss appeared, berating them. His plans... I...

My uncle loves the water- he's the one who gave Echo to me, who suggested my name to my parents when I was born, and taught me, too, to love water- rivers and lakes, oceans and seas, creeks and ponds.
The idea that someone would want to destroy the thing that all life relies on like that, the blatant disregard of how the ecosystem works...
I don't think I like this guy much.

After Lord Numbskull dragged his Pajama Squad off, Captain Stern thanked me and also left. Marlene, Lucas and I spent a while looking at exhibits- this place is pretty awesome.
-

We headed north again, only to run into a really shiny oddish. 'It must take really good care of itself', I thought. Yeah. He's a primping twit, more like. He's kind of haughty, and I'm not even sure how he ended up coming with us. The fact is, he did. I have no clue what Lucas and Marlene said or did that could have convinced our primping princess to come with, but Nani is... just a bit odd, he is.
They also managed to convince him to get a bit stronger, but so far he's stuck by my side and not gone far.
-

Ran into Ruby whilst looking for Echo in the Slate-Mauv estuary- still no luck in locating Echo- and he forced a fight. It was short, and even Nani put in a bit of effort. I get the impression that one of his pokemon may have said something insulting about them.
-

Echo wasn't in the ponds to the west of Mauville, the north has had a minor rockslide, so it's blocked right now, and the beach to the east is taped off at the moment for some reason.
Whilst we returned to searching for Echo back in the estuary, we spread out a bit- though Nani seemingly gluing himself to my ankle- and each of them (with Nani as an exception, as he's too busy looking pretty, I think) deals with things on their own.
At one point when we met up, Marlene started to glow, but almost instantaneously stopped. From the way she glanced at Lucas, and the way Lucas was staring at her, I think she was being considerate for how he would react. I might have never witnessed it myself, but I know perfectly well what evolution is.

Pretty accurately to my guess, at a later point, when Lucas started to glow he freaked out and it stopped.
-

I think Lucas is getting more confident, slowly breaking out of his shell.
He wanted to test himself in the Mauville gym. He did pretty well, but didn't feel up to the Leader (I think the sign said he was called Wattson?)

We went back to looking for Echo, and trying to think of ways around the rockslide.
-

Lucas against Wattson, huh? He's way more confident, even in such a short time- hard to believe it's been only about two weeks since I got here. Since Echo went missing.
So Lucas faced against a man renowned as a user of electric types... and changed. Literally. I've seen him glow a few times whilst we were searching for Echo from a distance, jumping or flinching every time, but... this time... he went with it. He's bigger now, way bigger, and the very fact that he didn't even twitch...
And the battle was over, just like that.
Marlene is about as thrilled as I've ever seen her.
-

I decided to ask people about the blocked paths, and one man- I think he might have been a researcher?- gave us the disc for rock smash... which my unseen tagalong (I will never understand how a bright orange zigzagoon learned to hide so well in a week and a half) promptly grabbed when my attention was diverted when I was about to ask about the east exit.
After a mad chase we detained her and retrieved the disc, only to notice we were near Verdanturf. Thinking on it, and remembering that there was also a rockslide in the connecting tunnel, I decided to get the Coon to prove her power. By smashing rocks.
A couple who apparently live on separate ends of the tunnel were thrilled by the help. We received a new disc... which I managed to put away before the Coon could take it. I don't put it past her to try again though.
-

Clearing the northern rockslide with her, though, at least distracted her attention.
-

I don't think we'll be finding Echo in this cave.
-

Marlene fought a... strange... I don't even know, but the pokedex says it's called spinda, and finally evolved, as Lucas had been willing. She's big enough to carry him again.
She then noticed a cable up the mountain, and suggested we go back a bit and check it out.
-

Pajama Brigade again. Blocking a path. Again. I do not understand these people.
-

We headed back though the cave, only to be stopped by an adorable tortoise. She seemed to like me, so how could I resist.
Teacup is almost as adorable as Echo. Almost. But not quite.
...
Who am I kidding, Echo is way cuter.
But Teacup is cute anyway.
-

Back in spinda territory, and we're jumped by a sandshrew. Finally another pokemon I can recognise, like Nani.
I'm not sure she was clear on our goals, but she was willing to come anyway once they were explained.
Micah's really quite forward, and implied that she knew where there was water around here.
Hang on, Echo. I don't know where you are, but I'm getting closer.
-

Well, Echo doesn't seem to be here, either, but we've spent a good while searching, and Micah's a sandslash now, and apparently got her hands on a bright orange spiky rock. I used to collect rocks. This one is quite pretty. I feel like I know what type of rick it is, but it's eluding me right now...
-

Another cave, and guess what? Pajama Brigade again. These guys are EVERYWHERE.
And they're bullying a scientist. AGAIN.
Great Lugia what is it with these people. Pajamas is the only one of them who seemed slightly tolerable.
I would have stepped in, but they were chased off by some guys dressed as sailors- identified as "Team Aqua" by Pajama Brigade.
And then the guy with the goatee introduced himself.
Archie.
Archie.
This guy is my Uncle's boss.
My Uncle has told me about him.
I don't I what I sdfsdgsg eeeeeeeeeeee.
-

I'm not too clear, I sort of fazed out with what I suppose would probably be called fangirling, but... Pajama Brigade is doing something... involving the volcano?
Whatever their plan is, I'm getting the idea that it's stupid enough to entirely warrant my calling their boss 'Lord Numbskull'.
In whatever case, this scientist seems entirely devastated by the loss of his... meteor?
Echo doesn't seem to be in this cave, either.
-

Or on the outside of it.
-

Pajama Brigade versus my Uncle's team. I am rather obviously rooting for the blue team.
Which is why I let Micah charge in and kick their arses.
It was pretty impressive to watch, in all honesty. Sandslash are small, but Micah's got huge personality. It's quite something to see a sandslash take a cam... camerupt? Is that what the pokedex called it? so many times its size down in a single hit.
Lord Numbskull's plans were, remarkably, even stupider than I had expected, but he unfortunately had a bat to spare and escaped.
Archie thanked us for our help.
Archie!

I took the meteor to return later.
-

I don't think Echo would be in a hotspring.
It seems we're here for a bit longer, though, because Teacup's gone and disappeared in an act entirely unusual for her.
-

Apparently she had gone and started smashing their gym up. I caught up by asking the various people who had had their pokemon body slammed by the usually docile torkoal.
Note to self, don't run around in the sauna gym.

We caught up just as she was heading for the gym leader, only to be forced to watch in wonder as the battle went in rather one-sided favour to Teacup.
She seems rather pleased with herself.
-

Leaving the gym got us accosted by Ruby, who this time vanished without a fight.
He's a bit odd.
-

Apparently there's a pokemon problem at the Mauville beach, so they aren't letting anyone except those who can use surf to actually ride a pokemon across through.
I suppose that explains something?
Isn't Dad's badge the one that...?
-

I'm not sure, but I think I might just hate my Dad a liiitle bit. No, I'm not a good enough trainer? I think he's only being a jerk sometimes. My team is strong.
We'll add the Dewford badge to our collection- with four badges, there's no way he could turn us down.
-

Marlene made easy work of all the trainers in the gym, including Brawdy (wait... was that his name? It was too dark when I came in to read the plaque...), and another badge down.
No was Dad can turn us away this time.

Delivered the letter, went to Slateport, caught electrike [Lucas], trained him, delivered package, beat Magma, caught oddish [Nani], a bit of training for him, beat Ruby, beat Wally, beat all gym trainers but Wattson, trained, beat Wattson, and during the battle electrike hit level 41, learnt charge and evolved into manectric upon battle end, did stuff, taught SC rock smash, north, kicked a spinda, Marlene hit 41 and evolved, caught torkoal [Teacup], trained her, caught sandshrew [Micah], trained her, sandshrew evolved, trained more, sandslash hit 41 and we proceed with game plot.
Sandslash mauled Magma, Teacup tore through Fire gym, finally went and set Marlene on Brawly's gym.
Standing in Petalburg gym.

CRYSTAL UPDATE NUMBER 3 (AND MY 100TH POST!)

Wow, it's already been a month!

So, I continued into the rocket lair and ran into that loser Sammu. :P He mentioned something about another red-head beating him up. (whatever...) I continued onward and ran into.. GIOVANNI?!?!? Nope, it was actually just a rocket executive. I used Gertrude the koffing to beat him up. Then I followed his birdy and ran into a lady rocket executive. She took down a bunch of m pokes but I eventually beat her (while Lance took down the other rocket) Then I had to destroy a bunch of electrodes which exploded all over the place. *sighhhhhh* I soon proceeded to take on the mahogany town gym. I did my best to use Gertrude to rollout and kill Price's pokemon but his dewgong killed her. SO, I just used Arkadina (the clefairy) to kill the rest of his Pokes with fire punches. I headed back to Olivine and just swept the gym with Arkadina's fire punch. I got lucky since the first magnemite's supersonic and sonic boom both missed! I then got a call from (I think it was Elm) saying something weird was going on in Goldenrod. Better check it out! It was a bunch of rockets *groan* I decided to take them all down which proved to be incredibly annoying, and here's why. Every. Single. Rocket. Had. A. FRICKIN'. KOFFING. WITH. SELFDESTRUUUUUUCCCCCCTTTT. This made training my weaker pokes (Gertrude and Joffrey the beedrill very annoying. Arkadina and Traeger the scyther) Finally I made it to the top where the director turned out to be fake. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. So, I had to go the Goldenrod basement area, where I met my rival Sammu. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. His golbat caused me a lot of problems taking out Gertrude, so Arkadina had to save the day. I used her to kill his dumb magnemite and (i think) I used Joffrey to take out his haunter. Traeger was used on the sneasel while Arkadina killed his quilava. I then had to navigate the weird basement maze where finally, after a lot of fainting, GERTRUDE EVOLVED!:pink_boogie: dun..dun.. I then went back to the tower and took out the rest of the grunts/executives using my new weezing. (she took out the last guy on her own) Now it's time for me to meet Ho-oh...

DA TEAM

Spoiler:

Joffrey Male Level 35

Moves: Twineedle, Focus Energy, Pursuit, Swift
Thoughts: He's definitely starting to head to the back of the team. It's not really his fault, it's just how bad his moveset is/how weak the bug type was in gen II. He's still a favorite and I expect more use now that all the poison types of team rocket are finally out of the way. 6.5/10
Stats: 99/77/40/49/73/74

Arkadina Female Level 35

Moves: Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Dizzy Punch, Sing
Thoughts: Definitely the star of the team, due to her moveset. Otherwise, her stats aren't great but she's always able to pull through in a pinch! She'll definitely become even more of a star when I evolve her. 8/10
Stats: 100/42/44/53/57/36

Gertrude Female Level 35

Moves: Rollout, Smokescreen, Sludge, Self-Destruct
Thoughts: Even though she just evolved, I can tell she is going to rock! As annoying as she was through most of this update, she got a lot better at the end... 6/10 to 9/10?
Stats:100/77/105/80/65/57

Traeger Male Level 36

Moves:Slash, Leer, Wing Attack, Fury Cutter
Thoughts: The other star of the team, he's only seen less use because his one bug move wasn't too helpful. Now that he has a strong normal type move and a solid flying type move, he's been seeing more use and is leading the team right now (even out-starring Arkadina a little) 9.5/10
Stats:105/101/73/57/75/89

*If anyone wants to give me moveset suggestions, that would be appreciated :)

My update is forthcoming, but it's almost eleven pm and my brain has overheated a bit much to write the next Story!Plot update.

In short as far as Game!Plot progress, the fifth gym was defeated, Magma dealt with in the weather institute, Pyre, and Lilycove cave, and our rival was fought twice.
We need to train. Level 45 is not enough.

I'll see about getting it done tomorrow.
-~-~-
O...kay.
That was decidedly longer than it should have been. Buh.
Haven't even written up to where I am now. Gah.

Badges: 1, 3, 4, 2, 5, -, -, -; League: 0
Spoiler:
For Micah, to put her power to the test is a thrill. She's sort of like the complete opposite of Nani, who much prefers to make sure all his leaves are clean and neat.
So letting her loose on Dad's gym... almost seemed kind of mean.
She's an unstoppable whirlwind of sand and claws.
Opponents are nothing if they can't hit her.

Dad's slaking on the ground, knocked out, Micah strutting her stuff, practically begging for another pokemon to be sent out... but that's the end of it; three-to-one, and she’s the one standing.
Despite what Dad wants, Birch seems to want, and what his son seems to think, I’m not a trainer. I have never planned to be, never wanted to be. All the pokémon that have offered to help me search for Echo have fought wild pokémon of their own accord. I’ve just been searching for my best friend while they protected myself and themselves, and just helped me in general...
but...
there’s something about this; something about having watched her grow from a sandshrew that was maybe a bit too forward about everything into a pokémon capable of laying two experienced slaking flat...
I think, maybe, I might understand a bit about why trainers are, now.
-
Apparently the couple I helped with the rockslide in the cave have relatives here. I wasn’t sure how to go about getting the Surf disc, but they solved the problem- apparently the whole family is grateful for the help.
-
Having both my Dad’s badge and the surf disc meant I could undisputedly go down to Mauville beach... to find out that the pokemon problem is that for some reason the carvanha here have gone ballistic. Is it possible?
The orange Coonstalker took the chance to kidnap my surf disc and somehow seemed to bounce across the estuary; I think carvanha probably don’t make good springboards to do such a thing, but... each to their own, I guess?

It’s hard to see through water, especially when it’s frothing with mad carvanha. One spot caught my attention, though. Could it be...?
...Well, caught my attention before the shouting from the far shore carried over to the Mauville side, and the shiny orange furblob reappeared, my disc still in her mouth, a look of bewildered terror on her face (as much as you can tell, with that type of face, anyway) and with a fishing wire caught in her tail.
-
He took the chance, he escaped from their maddened swirling, and I have never been so grateful to have an orange kleptomanic stalker as I am right now.

How can one describe the feeling of being reunited with their closest, most beloved friend, after weeks of separation and not knowing where the other was or if they were okay? After having to wander across an unknown continent, or being forcibly abandoned in a place that was maybe, once upon a time that you only vaguely remember, your home, but which has not been in forever; surrounded by hostile forces that aren’t happy to see you, having been left in the wilds by those you thought you could trust?
I am in no way ashamed to admit that I was more than choked up. I had my best friend back. We were Home, in a way that the house we had lived in couldn’t quite match. I cried enough for the both of us, as he couldn’t; being what he is, he can’t cry for himself. Or maybe I was just crying for myself, and there were honestly just that many tears to shed; of sadness, of fear, of joy.
What else matters? I have Echo back. I have Echo, and he has me.
-
I was planning on accompanying everyone back to their homes as thanks for helping me. Micah to the ashlands, Nani and Lucas to Slateport, Teacup to the volcano, Marlene to Granite cave.
Planning to go back to our new home with Echo.
Echo, though. He looked at me, after our reunion, and looked at my new friends (who I believe he was talking with while I was untangling the fishing-line from my admittedly helpful- if annoying- stalker), then back at me... and said ‘no’; from their reactions, I’d pose a guess that the others agreed... though Nani seems to have wandered off somewhere, which is a bit odd of him. He usually just hangs around my ankles. Maybe he decided that now my journey was done, he could go home by himself? ... No, he’s over at the tree line, watching from a distance. He’s been acting strangely since Micah beat Dad. I can only wonder what he’s thinking.
‘No’, Echo? Why? Why wouldn’t these guys, you, want to go home?
He wants to prove them wrong. He knows how he got here; he knows, and he wants to show them how wrong they are. They thought he was no good for me.
I don’t think I will be able to think of my parents- or Birch- in the same way. Not now.
And Echo is determined. Look at what I have done for them, is his argument to stay with them. I have given Marlene a reason to work harder, shown Lucas what courage is, helped Micah become strong enough to defend herself, Teacup friends willing to protect her as willingly as she’d protect them, given HIM a reason to fight... I hadn’t thought about it. Nani, though? What about him? I haven’t helped him in any way. That’s why he’s gone off, isn’t it?
Echo, looking at me, and the subject is changed, changed to what had happened during the separation.
There, is his point. People are threatening the ocean. We won’t continue for the purpose for being a trainer, but rather for the purpose of aiding my Uncle’s dreams, for aiding the ocean and the ecosystem.
Archie can do that, though, surely?
But not alone, and one player can make a difference between a win and a loss.
Echo has never roared before. Carvanha cannot roar. Apparently, though, their evolved form can. I won’t be able to carry him anymore.
The others can also roar, cry out their agreement.
Apparently I’m continuing. Together with these guys; but I suppose not everybody, given that Nani is gone.
His response to this is about as close as it is possible for a fish to smirk, which is quite something to see, honestly. A jerk, pointing me off beyond the tree line.
Something I would want to see?
-
Nani. Nani, fighting. A light of determination and he’s getting up every time he gets knocked down.
...
And then he’s evolving, and he’s horrified. His beautiful leaves, changed into... well, apparently he is one of those individuals who thinks gloom are... ah... less than beautiful.
Now it is Nani as I have never seen him.
This is a mild pokémon with an agenda.
Something is niggling at my mind, but I can’t quite pull it forth from the depths.
I think he’s fighting to become a bellossom, but... something. If I could just...
-
Echo is urging us on, and across the estuary.

The sheer thrill of riding on his back makes up for the slight grating feeling on my skin- I got clothes to stand up to his rough skin years ago, thankfully, though it seems slightly tougher now he’s evolved. I’ll have to design some sort of saddle for him so he doesn’t need as much effort put into the water aura Surf projects
-
Them. Pajama Squad. Again. Why.
They seem to be everywhere these days.
Not that it seems to make a difference to my companions. Nani seems to be in a particularly bad mood, he’s knocking out opponents left and right, but he’s still a gloom, so I don’t think it’s helping his mood much.

Weather institute. That’s what this building is. I suppose it makes sense Pajama Squad was here? If they’re trying to... but it’s still silly. Whatever it was exactly, they probably would have gotten better results with politeness.
Good that they’re gone, though I think Nani and Echo may have done a bit of damage to the building in the process.
Weather, weather, weather. What was it about weather? The sun...
Sun just shone through the window, and hit their white blob pokémon. Now it’s formed itself an orange orb-aura, looks like the su... like the sun. The sun. That’s it! That’s what was bugging me! Rocks! Bellossom! Micah!
Ha!
Hahaha!
Wow I feel silly now, I lose any right to say I know anything about rocks.
Nani, Nani, I’m so sorry for my monumental stupidity!
He’s confused, and none of them seem to understand why I’m hugging Nani and Micah. Echo would understand, but he wasn’t with us at the time.
Micah’s stone, it bugged me, but I... Nani. This is for you. I’m sure you’ll be beautiful.
He’s confused, but Echo is looking at the orange stone, and I can see the flash of recognition as clouds of memory clear.
He certainly remembered faster than me, at any rate.
-
I was right. It’s far more than just his external appearance, though. He’s spinning and twirling and he’s lighting everything up with his sheer happiness and it is beautiful. I’m so sorry I didn’t remember sooner, so sorry that he was sad. I never thought he was ugly, but... even if he doesn’t realise that the external isn’t something that matters, the fact that he can smile like this now brings tears to my eyes. He has dreamed of this, for ages, I’m sure. That I was able to grant this to him makes me happy.
-
Ruby seemed to deem fit to interrupt us, but that... didn’t last long. Our tagalong even stole his bag. He offered us another disc for the return of the hostaged supplies, which the orange menace strangely agreed to.
She maybe know that even if I don’t much like the guy I can’t just let her take all of his stuff.
-
This place is really pretty. We’ll take a rest here and move out later.
-

thats the point. I made it challenging; and yes golbat is a flying type so you can teach it fly :P
No offence, but that was stupid to say. Not all flying types can learn fly, and zubat and golbat could not until generation 4.

You're playing FireRed right? Like atmmachine11 said, Zubat/Golbat cannot learn Fly until 4th gen. :P

Anyways, I wanna play. I'll be trading all of mine in at appropriate times.
Also, can we use Egg Moves?
Name: bctincher11
Game: White
List of Pokemon that got away: All are in my Black version. I also have all 646 legal Pokemon in it, so just pick any six(My time is 813:54 :P).
Number required: 6
Any specific requirements: A Flyer and a Surfer plus a starter(I have 1 of each of all 3 starters in Black, but I'll start with the one I get in-game).
I will also evolve them to their final forms.

any of all the pokemon? ok here goes: Torchic, Pikachu, Bidoof, Weedle, Aerodactly, and Eevee

Have fun! and great, no flyer is gonna make it harder xD
Anyways~~~~

Me: *Wakes up to see Professer Oak* Oh great, not again...
*insert lots of chatting, also me telling him im Red and his grandson is Green here*
Red: *Wakes up for real* Oh, it was a dream... again...
*Gets potion out of PC and goes downstairs and outside*
Red: I want to leave this town, so I'm getting out of here
*Heads north*
Oak: Wait! Red, don't go out!
Red:*sigh*
*insert more chatting and going to the lab here and even more chatting*
Red: I'll take the Charmander, and name it Pyromaniac
Green: In that case, I'll take Squirtle
*Insert Red mopping the floor with Green here*
Red: Well I'm off finally.
(The rest will now be from the way Red is thinking)
I went through Route 1 to Viridian City and went up just to find an old man being a jert, so i went to go buy some poke balls, but the clerk told me to go take Oak a package, and then Oak gave me and Green the Pokedex, and after Green told me not to visit his house I went straight there and got the map from his sister. I left and went to Viridian Forest and caught myself a Caterpie and a Pikachu who I named Cheeky, but put him in the PC, along with Pyromaniac, also Caterpie evolved, but I still hope I can get my old friend Speedy, who is an Eevee, from my friend in Celadon City, it sure is a long walk though, anyways, time to get out of this cursed forest, hopefully Metapod will evolve soon...
Untill next time

Okay, interesting team, I'm probably going to solo with Tepig until I get the C-Gear.
Since I said I'm going to fully evolve them, I've decided Eevee will become Glaceon.

I'm also assuming I can use Egg Moves, so I'll probably use those. I'll start later.

So, this is what, my second 6 month vanishment during this challenge? No real excuse, just haven't been in the mood to play Pokemon.

Please excuse the laziness of the team summary in this update. I'll try to get that back to the way it was in previous updates for the next one.

-Beat Team Plasma and got the dragonite skull back
-Headed on to Castelia City
-Got the Exp Share
-Ran into Cheren outside the gym, got told by Burgh to go to a pier
-Bianca's pokemon got stolen, met Iris who is totally not important
-derpy Plasma grunt shows up because they wanted another pokemon (didn't their plan just need her Munna?)
-tracked the grunt to Team Plasma's secret base...which has several grunts outside it
-exposition time!
-Bianca got her Munna back and that plot point was dropped forever
-Gym time!
-Beat Burgh. Murkrow defeated Whirlipede, Milotic beat Dwebble and Litwick beat Leavanny.
-Left the gym, for some reason got a call telling me to battle Bianca
-Easily destroyed Bianca's team
-Cheren's too
-Got some ultra balls from Juniper
-Suddenly Plasma grunts, got a bike
-Had to check out musicals because...um...Bianca can't do anything without someone holding her hand?
-Bianca's dad told her to come home, Lady Gaga overruled his authority...because she can do that, apparently.
-Rode the rollercoaster with N, then battled
-More grinding, because I have one team member that isn't weak against Elesa's Emolgas (Pursuit, Volt Switch and Aerial Ace >.<)

Team:
Audino F Level 25
Grotle M Level 22
