I actually prefer the new rectangle status bar. The "dot next to the name and similar variants" IMO, seems too overused on other styles. The rectangle thing was very noticeable when I logged in earlier, and seems like a refreshing change of pace from the standard dot I've seen so much. Nice revamp! :)

Going to get hate for saying this: When you add in Supporter/mod etc bars, it takes up a ridiculous amount of space. It looks very clunky. I preferred the old one. Is this part of the colour changes the announcement was on about?

I found this change pretty surprising. When I came here this afternoon, I found the large online buttons surprising at first, but learned to get used to them eventually. As for the reason, I don't really know, other than it's for the Generation InVerse skin, as fenyx4 said.

Yeah, that's what I noticed when I came online tonight. I realized how the online/offline status icon was changed into a CSS style online/offline button.
I believe it's because GenerationInverse forum style is a WIP (Work In Progress). Because Forgotten Memory did state that he was still working on it, if I can remember correctly. It should say in the thread in the Community Announcements forum.
I jsut noticed the new "Online" status thing on posts.

It seems more of a devamp than a revamp since it looks so plain and weird?

The old one, which was a dot next to the name, looked way more unique and professional.

Is this change permanent or just temporary to see how it goes?
I'm not 100% sure if it could be either fixing the problems, changing the way it looks, or using it previously in what we call a "beta" stage.

To be honest... I kinda like the looks of the new online/offline buttons. Maybe the other ones were alright, but even still... I'd just appriciate what is made. The old online/offline buttons looked cool also. :)

Supporters are just fine as you can see in the image I just provided.

And personally I just love the new online/offline button.
Well that's because you're using legacy mode. I have to admit but it doesn't look all that great in standard mode. :/

That's because standard mode is an ugly option to use :(

Agreed. Legacy is amazing. And I do like how the online/offline bars look in Legacy in Generation InVerse. I may actually start to use it rather than Forest Grovyle's Legendaries. (old old skin haha. Nostalgia~)

The Online/Offline/Invisible status icon has only been changed for Generation InVerse. Personally, I like it more than the "dot" or "Pokéball" style as it's a lot more clear on the status of the user. Regardless, this is one of the changes that is being worked on while the style is down at the moment. In my opinion, if you like Generation InVerse, but don't like how the new status icon looks like, you should switch your mode over the Legacy rather than Standard. I did it for the first time today, and given how it looks by Zet's screenshot, it's pretty nice.

Anyway, enough of my babbling. Seeing as this is only a change for the Generation InVerse skin as far as I know, you can discuss what you like / don't like about the changes being made in it's B/W Theme! thread rather than here. [link]
