PC families are something that can make you feel apart of something bigger. Often, you have sisters, brothers, twins, husbands, wives, as many different positions as you can within your family, including a pair. But whether they actually give a feel of a real family is another thing in itself. So, due to that, I was wondering how important they actually are to you and whether other things along those lines matter as much.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

note: Last question is up to your interpretation, cause when typing this up, I couldn't think of anything so wondering if you guys could.

...haha, I suck at questioning, I still end up with grouped questions.

I don't really have a PC family, besides my pair. I think PC families are good for some, but it depends on who you are and who your closer friends are. PC families worked for me in the past but now it just doesn't really matter much to me. I think in the past, PC families were more popular, while now, they're limited to only a few groups of people, while pairs are just as popular in the past, which doesn't make sense to me. It depends on who I'm paired with, as to whether I take them seriously. Right now, my pair is my boyfriend, so... that makes sense, so, yeah. And due to that, I don't intend to unpair him. In total, I've had nearly 20 pairs but I do it just for fun usually, it just depends on who, tbh. In the past, I remember my first pair, who randomly PMed me to pair, it was funny and I took it seriously-ish at first, which was strange. As for other popular trends, it depends on what they are usually, though I'd say PC families is the most well known one.

And yes this idea was inspired by Gav/Hiiro.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?

I don't because I think its kinda stupid. But hey, that's my opinion.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?

Nica, PC makes me feel I am a part of something. No Internet family can replace that.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?

Not sure. Only came here barely a year ago.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?

Well...I take my relationship with Yuuikihime a little seriously, but not really.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

I do themes, and pairings. That's pretty much it.

Yes, please check my signature for the members :)
2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
It's just a fun little thing to participate in.
3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I'm not sure on this one.
4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I've known my pair in an online capacity for a while, even before we both joined PC (even if she's fallen off the face of the earth as of late :/) . We have worked together on some fan fiction projects in the past.
5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
Just families and some of the sig/theme collabs.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
Unless pairs count, no. I guess Team Fox could count. Most people who were around at the time knows who was a part of it, anyone else probably doesn't care, so I won't list them all. I also had Gary, The Magic Fairy and Manipulation in my signature for a short amount of time. I doubt I would have any other "family" in the future though just because there's no way they could ever compare to the past one.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I enjoyed it while it lasted. If I could make the choice again, I would still be a part of it. It was fun. Even though there were disagreements which ultimately made the whole thing end, the good outweighed the bad. We were just a group of good friends, so I guess a part of something? We were friends before the team thing though, so it was more of a representation of our friendship, rather than something used to potentially create friendship.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I think they're taken less seriously now.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Totally depends. I will pair with someone for fun, or seriously. My first pair was Abnegation because we were bffls at the time and it was just for fun. My second and current pair, poopnoodle, is my girlfriend; we got paired after we "got together" because it just seemed fitting.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
No, I'm not sure what this would include. Pairing? Yes. I don't take part in theme collabs or events or anything.

i guess it's a fun sort of engagement for other users but not something i wish to partake in. i see pairings/families as a way for others to let people know who they associate with, but it's something i hardly pay attention to and (despite being paired to my boyfriend) something i don't take seriously.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
[i]I do, and while I've received no notification of people asking to leave, I am unsure if some are still part of my family or not. Definite ones include BinaryPeaches, chanchimi, chamo-chan, and SilverStilletto.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're a part of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is a part of your family?
[i]There's supposed to be a space there, Nica >.> It's not as bad as people spelling "a lot" as "alot" but still. I am impartial towards them. It doesn't depend on who's in my family and I don't feel like I'm a part of anything. For the most part, it's there for fun~

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Well, if you wanna remember "Sweater"... Though I think that was more a group than an actual family. I guess I'd say... They may be taken a bit more seriously by some members, but I guess the veteran members don't take them as seriously?

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
All my PC pairs I've been paired to out of friendship/loving them like siblings/because they're alts., not for romantic purposes. As for interesting relationships, my main's last two pairs (counting my current one) are now staff. Actually, my previous one and I unpaired right before he became a Mod.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
...Not really? Unless you count DLTMSA and WOFZ and OT in general as trends.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
No I don't. Never felt a need for that, and honestly it feels kinda silly.
2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I don't feel nothing and don't care at all.
3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Dunno and don't care about the past. but it's pretty much the same thing as pairs.
4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
No to all.
5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
No. I have my own trends.

PC families make me feel like they are more than just my friends or best friends in a way.

I think now, they're taken less seriously.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?

I take mine seriously for a reason I'm not even going to state and I'm more likely going to pair with someone I am close to or have some sort of feeling for.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

Not really.

I had an unorganized PC family in the past. I actually don't remember, it was a pretty long while back. At present, I have a few brothers, Cooley, Destinedjagold, BHwolfgang; and my pair. My PC family makes me feel comfortable; they're all pretty cool people, so yeah. I thought that PC families were taken more seriously in the past. I have no idea.

Friendship is what spurs out pairings for me. I've had pairings with only a few people; not really too interesting to talk about though. I don't think I follow popular PC trends, maybe a few but not really.

They are cool I guess. I regularly talk to most of the people in mine, but I don't even know 1 or 2 of them. :S

And it feels kind of weird now that the person that originally had me join their PC family doesn't have it in their signature anymore. :S

But yeah, if I added any more people it would get kind of ridiculous, it would take over my whole sig. :O

Used to, now I don't because nobody really asked.
2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
They just make me think I have a close group of friends on here.
3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
During the past they were.
4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Just for fun, someone I'm close to.

In general impact, Forum families here are the reason they are happening in some forums too XD After having a family here I start the idea on other forums as well

1. Do you have a PC family?
I do but It hasn't grown in a while

If so, who is in yours?
It's in my signature

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted?

Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
<- This

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
It was more of a past thing, not as often now

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Most of my pairing died because one or the other of us was too inactive. I usually only have pairings just for fun. My previous pair on another forum too it seriously though >.>

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
I love trends so I always join in with them

Yeah, I do, its in my signature if you wanna know who is in there.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
They make me feel good, but it depends on who is apart of it.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I don't really know, because I joined this year.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Sometimes I take them seriously but fun at the same time, you know?
Someone I'm close to, someone I can trust and when I can trust them enough, I become their pair.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

No, I don't participate in any trends, I like to do my own thing.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
Yeah. I have managed to fit them all in my signature somehow as well. Agent Clank, Akita, BinaryPeaches, Dark Pulse94, dragonomega, Enlightened~Espeon, Erufuun, Pachy, Sammyskitty, and The Last One. Sarah Paliner (Rival) and Zeffy (Hurt&Heal Buddy) aren't really in the family bit, but I still group them with the rest. Oh, and Joe, who hasn't yet made a new account. He is my best friend. :3

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're a part of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I feel like PC families tie people together more than just friendship. I also feel closer to some of my family than others: Akita, BinaryPeaches, Joe, Pachy, and Sammyskitty... Also Enlightened~Espeon, but she's my sis IRL. Makes sense that I feel close to her.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I don't know. You see, I don't remember there being much for family groupings back in '04-'05, though I could just totally be blanking on that.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I've had a few pairs, yeah. The first, I got married to. The second is my best friend. The third is Sammy, who I only met days before pairing up. If my boyfriend were a user here I would pair with him, though. It seems logical.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
I... have a PC Family, but it's really because they're close friends or (in my Younger Sister's case), shes my actual sister.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
Eh. I feel... neutral about 'em? I can't say I dislike 'em because I have a small one myself, but I don't see what's the whole deal about them and why people go around saying 'I need a Family omg hfjdsfs'. Yeah.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I've only been here two years, and within those two years I had a seven months hiatus. So... I don't know.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I was paired with my two pairs (including my current one) because we had fun talk to each other. I did pair with someone I was with on my alt, but I'm more likely simply to just pair with someone that I'm close to in the future, if I ever unpair (on my alts. I don't plan on unpairing from Roswell for a looong time). Considering I had only two pairs, I don't really have a past. However, my current one, Roswell is someone who I've had plenty of interesting chats with, and it helped that she and I have both similar and opposing views. Makes our conversations interesting, to say the least.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
Used to, but not anymore. Either the people in my small family left PC, or I no longer spoke with them. :(

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I always saw it as something interesting to put in my signature, tbh. It's not like being PC family made this super-special connection between us or anything. These days, I don't see terribly much point in them. My friends will still be my friends, PC "family" or no.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Honestly I think they were taken more seriously in the past than today. Or maybe it's just me not noticing it anymore?

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I've always seen it as a just for fun thing. :) The amazing two pairs I've had have just been really close friends of mine. Why Matt still insists we be "paired" here, I've no idea. It's just a title, really. But whatever. :p

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
I used to, but that was long ago. For the most part, I've cut off ties with everyone else involved since then.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're a part of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I honestly couldn't care less. Let the others have their fun with their so-called families, just don't try to get me involved in them.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I can barely remember that far back.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I've always been apathetic towards the concept of pairing, but I've also had the misfortune of being forcibly paired to two women who took the concept seriously. I'd rather not discuss the details.

Half a decade ago I used to have a family on PC, but after a long hiatus and came back, I never really found the interest to form a new one. I had a PC family when I was quite young so I took the thought somewhat seriously, though I would never go beyond thinking they were any more than online friends. Would I want to start a family now? Preferably not. Would I join one if asked? Probably not as well. I'd rather venture through this site by myself, really.

As for pairing, I think I've only had two in my entire history. One from half a decade ago that didn't last and I've unpaired, and an old friend from PC I've been paired to a for over a year now. Pairing is something I consider people do for the fun of it; I've never taken it seriously. Now that I think about it, I don't think I take anything that seriously on here. .__.;

Right now, my pair is my boyfriend, so... that makes sense, so, yeah. And due to that, I don't intend to unpair him. In total, I've had nearly 20 pairs but I do it just for fun usually, it just depends on who, tbh. [/SIZE]
I don't have a PC family. I used to I think.. back in 2005ish.. when the DCC mafia was around.. it was basically them who were my "family" even though I didn't consider myself all too close with everyone (only 2 or so.) It was more to show that we were like.. regulars in a certain thread, I guess. That's how I saw it anyways.
They've never been taken seriously.. and I don't think they've ever been "popular" since it's only really like 10% or less than all the members on PC who actually HAVE a "family."

I do tend to take PC pairs seriously, though. Before my current pair, my PC pair was Paul, but although it was NOT a romantic relationship (since he is 100% gay) but we were very good friends and I took it seriously. I see a pair as being your good friend on PC, or someone you love, or simply someone you trust. Basically someone you always go to if you need advice, and someone that OTHERS can go to if they don't want to ask you something directly but still need an answer.

My current pair is my boyfriend. He joined PC mostly because I'm here.. and he likes to leave me little messages or sometimes lurk :33

And to that last comment?!

lol.. just kidding, I know pairs are just for fun.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?: I don't have a PC family because I never asked anyone here to form one.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
: To be honest, I'm quite jealous of those who have PC families (no offense to those who have them) because they just sound fun to be part of.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
: Considering the fact that I've been here for almost 2 months, I don't really have an opinion on this.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
: I take them for fun. I'm more likely to pair with someone I'm close to.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
: No, not really.
