1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
No, I do not. I have a pair, kind of. But I don't take it seriously as well, we're just friends, and the member is pretty inactive too. But I digress. I do not have a PC family because times change, we don't always talk to the same people as much as we do now, forever, so I don't tie titles to the people I know on PC. However, I do have some friends online who I would regard as people who are almost like family, they would be Hiiro, Patchisou Yutorhu and Morkula, but after that, I do have some really close friends online too. They mean as much as they could, for people I know online. But at the end of the day, it's the people in my real life that I'm going to appreciate the most, though in saying that, there are plenty that I would like to have around me, physically, to talk to, that are online too.
2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
Well, they don't make me feel anything, to be true. Though the internet's aesthetics in general don't make me feel much at all. I go on here to pass time, learn new things, have a little fun, vent and talk to friends I've made here. I'm always one to look up though, and I think that the internet has its tendencies to affect people in a seemingly negative way, so I don't draw too much emotion from it. I grasp most of my enjoyment from my friends here.
3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I think they were always sort of for newer people I guess, you see the odd member who's been here for years, having families and being dedicated, and that's cool, but I think it's something newbies do to feel more accepted and not so outcast. So families can - in a way - be a way to cling to a clique of sorts, and not feel so alone on this rather large forum. Though, I don't think that they should be taken seriously, but that's down to the discretion of the members, it's just my opinion, that they shouldn't be taken to heart.
4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Just for fun, simply. Then again, I'm not one to get into an online relationship, so I wouldn't. But a pairing isn't in any way, symbolic, to anything, for me, so I pair friends or whatever, just for the fun of it. I've been paired to about 5 members, and I took none of the pairings seriously, and if I thought that the pair felt that there was something more than just a little fun between us, I wouldn't really be following their path. If my girlfriend happened to be on PC, I might pair yes, but it wouldn't really matter, because I love her and online pairings would have no recourse on our relationship, and in fact it should not. I don't even know what pairings are for really, in the long run. Pairing shouldn't be the end goal in any relationship, on or off, it's just a bit of fun.
I never really found my past pairings interesting, though I found the others in them interesting. I was good friends with my first pair, until I seen we had our differences and we started not getting on as well as we once did. My second was a really good friend of mine; Vendak. To this day he still is, but we never took the pairing seriously either, we knew it was a joke. After that, I was paired with .inlove, but I think that we had different views on what pairings meant, so that fell apart also. Then Vendak dared me to pair a moderator, so I did, thus myself and Zet were paired for a day. After that, I was paired to Dukey, who was like my best friend, then BHWolfgang joined in, then Zebedoo, and I think that was it, but yeah. My current pair now, is Dr. Octagonopus, who is a good friend of mine and has been for over a year now. Though she is inactive.
5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
I suppose I do, but I like to set trends, rather than join them. So I do that.
