1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
No. :(.
Because no one loves me /wrist

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I've had a HUGE family before, but that was before I left. I think they're fun, but can SOMETIMES make you seem less inviting (if your ENTIRE family is staff, I can understand if someone is a bit nervous about talking to you LMFAO)

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Absolutely not.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
Depends, some are serious, some aren't. Some are BFFs, and some are actually dating. I've had quite a few pairs, most were because I was really good friends with the person. And I'm not saying my pairs weren't cliquish. Because they were. Which if mostly why I'm not paired with anyone right now, I don't really belong to a group, I just float around. And stuff.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
lmfao nope. I participate in LIVEJOURNAL trends on PC.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
I don't because I'm not sure what the point is. I have a Friend List that's perfectly functional, what's the point of putting something in my signature that says something no one can really take seriously unless the words IRL are in there somewhere.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I just sort of don't see the point. That's all. o3o

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
They were in PC's past? God, I need a time machine so I can see the place when I first joined. o3o

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I also don't see what the point of pairing is. o3o

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
None that I know of, but I'm probably wrong. o3o

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
I think so, seeing as a lot more people have them

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I do to a point. It is an internet paring, so I'm not going to obsess over them. & Sushi. has been my pair from the very start since I joined! :'D

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
Not so much, actually. My PC Pair is World King, and my kid is Dr. Gregory House, but other than that I have never really been in anyone's family. I think it would be fun, but. I just never got way too into it.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
I like the idea that there is a support system around the place and people can actually get along and become very close.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Probably.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
The way I look at it, it's just for fun! If something actually becomes anything of it, then it does. But no one should scream and cry and throw a fit over a PC Pair because it's an online thing. Some people just think it's fun to have a pair. You can be close to them. And I have only had one PC Pair over my stay here, and that is World King.

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?

Actually, not way too often. Only when it's fun for me and usually I have a friend who will do it along with me.

When I joined PokeCommunity I was a member who didn't have a clue what a 'PC family' was yet I ended up with a very large one and now, I probably can't remember them all, but there are a few like Zeebedoo being my sister, World King my elder brother and such. But, as I moved on forward in the website, I tended to forget about having a PokeCommunity family and just get down to posting and talking to wonderful people here. Now I probably only talk to one or two of those people which is a shame, but we've moved on in our directions.

For me, when I was a PokeCommunity family lover I wanted people I was close too, not some random stranger as my family, just because if you don't have a bond, what's the point in them being there? Sure, later on you may be able to become close with them in the future but really it's better to actually know the person. I may be the only person with this opinion but, really I've never been a person who will just invite a stranger into my property without getting to know them first. (Says the person who was only talking to a random foreigner last Saturday...)

PokeCommunity families are fun, they are nothing to take too seriously, if we did everyone who was brother and sister would probably be arguing all the time. Aha. I believe they are just for fun, including pairs. I've only been paired to friends, I'd never want to pair for something serious, if I was, I'd be attached to a person who I may break up with later in the future and have a heartbreaking time, whilst a friend it's not as hard to break up with and feel something as hurtful as if it was my significant other. Maybe a bit pessimistic, but hey, I think like that.

For pairs, I've had two, my first Bloodex who was one of my first friends on PokeCommunity and there is Twilight Sky who was a friend who I randomly talked to and we found a friendship within. But currently, no, I'm not paired and fine with it. The two pairs I have had though I had a wonderful time whilst paired to them and still have a wonderful time even not paired to them, they both were an interesting pair to have. Bloodex and I was to the two when paired who talked day-in-day-out and nothing could seperate. Twilight Sky I feel most sorry for, I was inactive most of the time when paired to Twilight Sky and I never gave Twilight Sky the same treatment as Bloodex, who I still apologize dearly to for this. T.T

Really I don't follow PokeCommunity families as such for other people, but I don't think that families are wearing their way into the past, they are still many people who are in generously proportional families and of course, the diminutive ones too. They from my year here are not as active, I believe, but they are still going quite strong. But I believe that pairs will be the one that goes on way into the future compared to families.

I wonder what 'trends' you are talking about. As in following Twitter, MySpace, Deviant Art, Facebook and such? If so, then no, but I do follow a few blogs on the PokeCommunity but I don't really post on them much.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?
I do. See my signature, as I always try to list 'active' members of my family there.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?
Generally, unless someone's really built a trust bond with me or happens to be someone I've just bonded to in that friendly sort of 'I like and respect this person' sort of way, they don't make it into my PC family. So yeah, I take it modestly seriously, just never tl;dr serious.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?
Definitely not. PC families used to be a little more revered up until 2005 by my recollection. I miss those days sorely, but then again who doesn't miss good times of the past?

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?
I actually do take them a little more seriously than is commonly found amongst members, but that's because I'm just a loyal person...and I do happen to love having someone I can get away with being playfully affectionate with. Really depending on the person I can adjust that, but I have less fun. :x

5. Do you participate in other "popular" PC trends that have lasted a long time, in a similar way to PC families?
Hmm...It varies depending on my mood, direction of the wind, and position of my tail. ;)
...but in all seriousness, I do have a PC family, a pair and use CSS in my signature. I generally think that's participation enough. Sometimes though, I will join a theme collab, but only if someone bothers to openly advertise and/or offer it to me...really depends on my mood.

I have a PC family. But ... most of the people in it I've grown distant to, or don't talk to anymore. So I really need to edit a few people out... to be honest, I've thought about just forgetting about my PC family altogether because of this.

Now to answer a few of your questions...

My PC family consists of BHwolfgang, Bloodex, Limey-chan, Agent Clank, Furball the Umbreon & Derozio. All of them being my brothers. My sisters are Cold Fusion & Anastasia R. Cousins are Ayselipera and Eeveon. Twin is Emily. Pet snake/bunny is The Red Chain. And the newest addition is Zet being my husband. o/

My pairs... I've had about 6 different ones. One of them was a group pairing. All my previous pairs were just for fun. Though the pair I am in now was previously a relationship, now it's just a regular pairing.

i guess it's a fun sort of engagement for other users but not something i wish to partake in. i see pairings/families as a way for others to let people know who they associate with, but it's something i hardly pay attention to and (despite being paired to my boyfriend) something i don't take seriously.
I agree with this for the most part. I don't know.. some people really get into the brother, sister, and pair business, all I see it as is an indicator of who you're associated with. I might go a step further to say anything besides pair, which I look at as something of a best friend in most cases, is pushing it. I'm definitely not a party pooper or some kid who thinks he's more mature than the people around him, but it seems a little odd to set up all this junk in your sigs and whatever with "brother: john, sister: lisa, cousin twice removed: nelson". Then again most of the people here are younger, and I suppose you could look at it as an alternate reality roleplaying sort of thing. I guess I'm just not into roleplaying.

1. Do you have a PC family? If so, who is in yours? If not, why not?

No, I do not. I have a pair, kind of. But I don't take it seriously as well, we're just friends, and the member is pretty inactive too. But I digress. I do not have a PC family because times change, we don't always talk to the same people as much as we do now, forever, so I don't tie titles to the people I know on PC. However, I do have some friends online who I would regard as people who are almost like family, they would be Hiiro, Patchisou Yutorhu and Morkula, but after that, I do have some really close friends online too. They mean as much as they could, for people I know online. But at the end of the day, it's the people in my real life that I'm going to appreciate the most, though in saying that, there are plenty that I would like to have around me, physically, to talk to, that are online too.

2. How do PC families make you feel? Do you feel like you're apart of something or are they 100% light hearted? Does it depend on who is apart of your family?

Well, they don't make me feel anything, to be true. Though the internet's aesthetics in general don't make me feel much at all. I go on here to pass time, learn new things, have a little fun, vent and talk to friends I've made here. I'm always one to look up though, and I think that the internet has its tendencies to affect people in a seemingly negative way, so I don't draw too much emotion from it. I grasp most of my enjoyment from my friends here.

3. Do you think PC families are taken any more seriously now than in PC's past?

I think they were always sort of for newer people I guess, you see the odd member who's been here for years, having families and being dedicated, and that's cool, but I think it's something newbies do to feel more accepted and not so outcast. So families can - in a way - be a way to cling to a clique of sorts, and not feel so alone on this rather large forum. Though, I don't think that they should be taken seriously, but that's down to the discretion of the members, it's just my opinion, that they shouldn't be taken to heart.

4. Do you take your PC pairs seriously or just for fun? Are you more likely to pair with someone you're together with, or someone else you're close to? Do you have any interesting past PC pairings, if so why are they interesting?

Just for fun, simply. Then again, I'm not one to get into an online relationship, so I wouldn't. But a pairing isn't in any way, symbolic, to anything, for me, so I pair friends or whatever, just for the fun of it. I've been paired to about 5 members, and I took none of the pairings seriously, and if I thought that the pair felt that there was something more than just a little fun between us, I wouldn't really be following their path. If my girlfriend happened to be on PC, I might pair yes, but it wouldn't really matter, because I love her and online pairings would have no recourse on our relationship, and in fact it should not. I don't even know what pairings are for really, in the long run. Pairing shouldn't be the end goal in any relationship, on or off, it's just a bit of fun.

I never really found my past pairings interesting, though I found the others in them interesting. I was good friends with my first pair, until I seen we had our differences and we started not getting on as well as we once did. My second was a really good friend of mine; Vendak. To this day he still is, but we never took the pairing seriously either, we knew it was a joke. After that, I was paired with .inlove, but I think that we had different views on what pairings meant, so that fell apart also. Then Vendak dared me to pair a moderator, so I did, thus myself and Zet were paired for a day. After that, I was paired to Dukey, who was like my best friend, then BHWolfgang joined in, then Zebedoo, and I think that was it, but yeah. My current pair now, is Dr. Octagonopus, who is a good friend of mine and has been for over a year now. Though she is inactive.
