Let's imagine for a moment that you were apart of the upper staff (no, this isn't a choice and it can be any level) and you were calling the shots and making the decisions for the forum. What would you change and how would you deal with problems (be lenient or strict)?

1. Is there something on PC you don't like right now that needs changing in your opinion, such as limits for certain usergroups, or something?

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?

(somewhat stealing Nick's wording is easier, yes)

I dunno, the only thing I would want to change is try and get reputation (only green blocks), back, because as much as it was abused, the feature was used a lot more than post comments. I guess I'd generally be nice to everyone and act how I do now, probably.

1. Is there something on PC you don't like right now that needs changing in your opinion, such as limits for certain usergroups, or something?: The only thing I'd like to change here is that all members should have a blog right from the start. It's somewhat restricting to limit them to level 2+ supporters only, IMO.

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?: I try to be as nice as possible when I'm answering the question.

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?: I'm lenient towards that fact.

nothing crucial comes to mind

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
tolerant and considerate- forum moderating is a social job, i'd say it's one's "modly duty" to be accessible. rudeness drives away newcomers, and some staff members tend to forget their humanity when inexperienced users make petty mistakes. coming off as a little impatient when repetitively dealing with certain things is understandable, but there's no reason to be a jerk to anyone.

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?

i wouldn't necessarily be strict, but precise- i'd take all things considerable into consideration. if certain rules are to be breached for the good of the community than so be it.

Nope. In my opinion, I like the way its run right now, but I'd give a choice out for anyone who has above 5k posts and is a supporter to change their name to italicized or back to regular whenever they want to :x

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
Nice, I wouldn't want to be some "bad guy".

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
Probably strict, I wouldn't want any "joke votes" or anything of that manner.

Only thing I would change is bringing the reputation system back.

Me too I miss those little bars.

I just would sit there and look at them.

1. Some rules are pretty damn stupid on here >_> Like.. what's wrong with just saying "What's up?" in the Daily Chat. Also.. some swear-words are really unnecessarily censored.

2. I'd act exactly the same. I don't CHANGE the way I act for other people.

3. Depends on the situation.

I would like to decrease the time limit for visitor messaging. 45 seconds is a little bit too long for just a simple visitor message. You can always delete the spam if it does happen, and report it if it's constantly happening. There's always the option to turn off visitor messaging, so I see can't see why this would be opposed. I can't think of anything right now, but something about keeping the reputation system from ever coming back keeps coming back to me... :)

Ha ha, no. I would never act differently because my name magically became red or green over night. I've seen how some members changed when they became Moderators, and that was just too much for me. To be honest, I'd approve of the candidate if he or she meets the requirement for being a Moderator. Otherwise, I'd leave it to the other staff members.

Ummm, can I ask what the "Reputation System was?

1) I would make little bars under your name (Where the PC tier is) and just like almost all other pokemon forums, have little pokemon bars the upgrade/change with post count and contribution the PC. And Moderators and Admins etc. get special ones.

2) I always try to be nice when answering questions. I am a nice person so yeah :) I dont like being mean to people online as I know it can be hurtful.

3) I would be pretty lenient when voting in a Mod, as it I wouldn't be looking for the users that have been here the longest , that have never gotten infracted etc. I would just look for nice people who know about the rules and are active.

Being the writer that I am, I'm putting myself in the shoes of a RP or FF/W mod. I'd advertise both of these sections as much as I possibly could with my new influence. There are some very talented writers here, and they deserve to be noticed.

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?

Nice, of course. I'd give full answers to any questions and keep a civil tongue around anyone and everyone.

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?

I wouldn't use the word "strict", but in my mind I would evaluate the something/person in question twice. The first time would be in relation to PC standards, and the second in relation to my own standards. If one of those was positive and the other was in negative, I'd give PC's standards the automatic win.

I would most definitely bring back the UserName Changing system. I really miss that, too bad it caused server problems though.

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
I'd be the nicest I can when helping out members of the community.

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
Depends on what it is really.

You
Nothing really. Maybe if people would take some things less seriously but it's people and their own world.
2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?

Depends.. too much dumb question and he/she gets a heelkick. Otheriwse, I'll be okay.

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?

depends if he/she reported my posts
I don't really know.

I'll just..

This is why I say about taking things seriously. It's just some virtual reputation system, not a tag labling someone inferior or something.

There are some rules that I respect but don't agree with, such as not being allowed to post twice in a welcome thread, being restricted to ask for WiFi battles in the Quick Battle Thread, or, as already mentioned, the reputation system being removed. But on the most part, I respect and agree with the majority of rules in this community.

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
Questions are fine, as long as they're not asked as an alternative to reading the rules. But even in this case, I'd answer the question and direct them to said rules if they existed. I've done it before and I'll probably do it again. XD

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
It would depend on the situation, I suppose. Some decisions have more impact, and require more thought. To use the moderator example, some subforums are more active than others, which should be factored into the decision.

1. I'd like to see the reputation system and name changes reinstated, but I'm satisfied with PC otherwise.

2. I'd be generally nice when dealing with situations, and won't be disrespectful unless someone disrespects me first. I'd attempt to answer their question or direct them toward someone who can if I can't.

3. I'd have to say I'd be lenient and laid-back in most instances, unless I truly felt that it was a bad idea/decision.

Some of the rules kind of bug me. Like how many times you post in a certain topic or place. I mean, it makes no sense to me. If you want to post there more than once, I mean, why not? It's just a post count. Why try and stop people from reaching high post counts?

2.
How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
I would be nice. I mean, people are going to ask questions and people are going to feel that they are being treated unfairly. I might not be able to always bend to their wishes, but I would do the best I could to meet them in the middle. I would be annoyed if people kept asking stupid questions that were already explained to them many times though.

3.
When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
I would be strict because I want someone who is very intelligent and able to take care of things on the team. I don't want someone who doesn't get it.

Most of all I would just try and not act like I was ruler of the world and tell people that they have 'privilages, not rights'. I would act like I was one of them, get rid of the people who wouldn't at least read and follow the rules, and appreciate and promote people who were following the rules and were smart enough to understand why the rules were put there.

Only thing I'd do is up each groups avatar limits 20 pixels, so the smallest would be 150 for regular users. I guess it could be server intensive though so it might not work out, other than that I don't see much of a problem with it though. If people have a problem with 'big' avatars they can make theirs whatever size they'd like, and ad block works wonders as well.
How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
Nice until they gave me a reason to act otherwise. I don't mind people asking questions and look forward to actual discussion so it's not much of a bother to me. Pretending I was a mod I can see the amount of spam vm's I might get being annoying, but it's no reason to actually get angry and treat them badly.
When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
Strict in the sense that they'd have to be capable for the position, lenient in the sense that I wouldn't mind who they're friends with, they're particular posting style and things like that. They're pretty trivial and have no bearing on whether or not they can get the job done, so I don't see why it'd have to be taken into account.

1. Is there something on PC you don't like right now that needs changing in your opinion, such as limits for certain user groups, or something?
Several things...namely certain members of staff that I feel have a consistently poor attitude. I'd probably just slap 'em on the wrist though...they ARE fairly good moderators otherwise usually.

2. How would you act around people asking questions, or in general even - nice, or not so nice?
Nice, and I'd eat any member of staff's brainz if they were mean to a noob with a question. It's just not right, it's not cool, and I don't care how stupid, pointless or asinine the question is, or how many times it's been answered before...they deserve at least a link to the last thread without a rude comment. (Telling them to Just Google it, or use the search is usually not that bad...but word it friendly-like?)

3. When it comes to adding or removing something, or even voting in a moderator, would you be strict about it, or lenient?
Oof...I'd be pretty harsh on moderators. Rude moderation would not be tolerated...but I'd give warnings and stuff first, then send 'em on leave and finally let 'em go. If the user was rude to them first, it's a different story though...but a warning for that or an infraction could be handed to them. (You can be witty in your infraction PM just not overly flamey. harharhar)
