Which is harder? GSCE's or A-LEVELS

To settle a dispute between me and someone else.

He was complaining that he has so much college work, which I replied that he isn't the only one he replied about how I don't have any stress/pressure.

Yes, school kids do have pressure especially Year10/11 (England)

Im not sure what the last two grades are for Americans and such.

He then started to say that he was being bombarded with things such as how most Uni's don't have many spaces, which is worse for school kids, because we have College/Uni/Jobs to go through.

So what Im asking is which is harder?

College students don't say A-Levels because your in college same with School students, I think there both about the same.

A-levels are harder, they're just like a more advanced version of GCSE in my opinion.

I'm currently studying A-Levels and they make GCSEs look like a walk in the park. Although they still aren't exceptionally difficult. I think the teachers in school exaggerate about how important GCSEs actually are because they're obsessed with their school getting good grades, so I would agree that school students are under more pressure simply because of all the stupid teachers. When it comes to actual difficulty with the subjects though, GCSEs don't come close to A-Levels.

But I don't think you can't really make an accurate decision until you're actually in college, seeing as college students have studied at both levels, whereas school students have only studied at GCSE level so don't really know anything about how difficult A-Levels are.

I know nothing about either, though I do have to say that whichever does a higher education level of work than the other is more difficult.

Of course, tacking on a job in addition to having to do one or the other adds stress.

I do think you're friend was wrong in saying you have no stress, but the level of stress one can handle varies from person to person and also is dependent on whether or not you're used to that much stress.

I started my A levels this year and there's definitely a hell of a lot more work than last year despite the huge drop in the amount of subjects you do. A Levels are harder by far.
Also, I agree with whoever it was who said teachers exaggerate how important GCSE's are, as from what I've heard employers don't care about anything prior to A Levels.
