I like the movie. I like the N64 game. I like Casino Royale. I like Craig as Bond. I like David Arnold's Bond scores.

So, this as some reimagination combination of all of those things interests. The appeal to me is more in the idea and concept, not so much the gameplay as I haven't seen much of it.

The new game really does look promising and it will be tons of fun, I passed the previous game that came out in 2008 for PS3, but I don't know if I will be buying the new Wii game unless I surprisingly get a new Wii. Other than that I can't wait for 007: Blood Stone which comes out on most major platforms sometime soon.

I still just think they're trying to ride off the name of the original 64 version, since Rare isn't making this one. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Apparently my old sig was too big or something so I'm just putting this here because I'm too lazy to actually replace it properly right now.

That game had absolutely nothing to do with the old game or movie.

I sound like a broken record, but Nintendo do it better.

STOP RE-RELEASING GAMES AND GET AN IMAGINATION.

FFS. Goldeneye was one of my favorite games for the N64 and to see it thrown onto the re-release pile annoys me. I have the original and the original will beat any stupid remake.

Okay, well... Nintendo is neither the developer or publisher for this game. Would you like them to ban it? O_o

Well, thanks for the info, this is what I get when I don't pay attention to certain things.
If you get a chance to play the old N64 game, do so. It's a beloved classic.

You can skip the move. It hasn't aged well

I agree with Fabio, Remakes are getting boring and James Bond, As I said before, Is so nerdy and boring, It isn't hardcore shooting, Its stupid stealth.

So far it has recieved kinda mixed reviews.
90/100 from ign, 91/100 from gaming nexus, 83/100 from 1UP, and a 65/100 from Game Informer.

Game Informer just sounds stupid, though.
GoldenEye 007 doesn't feel like the retro dream it's meant to be. This Bond game is lost in limbo somewhere between last generation and modern day shooters. Only diehard Bond or FPS fans with nothing but a Wii should bother picking this one up.
Isn't that the way it's supposed to work, Game Informer?
That's like saying "Only diehard Halo or FPS fans with nothing but a Xbox 360 should bother picking up Halo Reach."

No matter, I think i'll be picking this one up soon to give it a shot.

EDIT: IGN Video review. Watch it, i'll guarantee you'll want it afterwards.

So apparently the multiplayer is like CoD: James Bond edition, I even noticed the grenade indicators that look like they were taken straight from CoD, but it does look more interesting now, so perhaps I will pick it up.

...

...

...this from someone on a Pokemon forum. Pokemon is the most hardcore series of all time.

James Bond is badass, and he's a ****ing spy, he's not going to run-and-gun like some halfwit in a Call of Duty game.
"pps new screenie" - No, really shut up yuoaman.

Haaave you read my LP?
Pokémon Quartz - The only one of mine really worth reading.

What about my [Un]Abridged series?
Aquaman the Unabridged Parody Series - Language warning.

Don't talk crap about things you're too young to know about. You don't understand just how big Goldeneye was. It was the Halo of the late 90s. Calling it nerdy is just silly, Goldeneye was the most popular game of its day. It was the game that people would play in college dorms or at parties. And it was the game that got me into shooters. You're insulting gaming history and ridiculing the enjoyment that thousands got from it. That makes you a killjoy and a jerk.

This is the first Wii game I've considered buying in about a year. The multiplayer is apparently pretty true to the original, so I'm really excited about it. I think this might be the first Wii game that I'd consider getting a few friends together and playing with. I hope there are secret hiding spots that I can pop out and kill people from.

Only the coolest of the cool kids play Pikamen. Mature games for hardcore gamers and all that.

Yeah, not sure if I'll get this. I liked Goldeneye, but really when Wii64 can support it I'd rather play it that way. If they update it enough it might be worth a go though. Also, All Bonds and Donkey Kong mode or no dice.

Blood Stone however is something I'll consider, if it gets decent reviews.

Definitely looking forward to buying this, since I used to love watching people play (and playing it myself) this game when I was a kid. I remember being pretty badass at it, but it was never my game. It belonged to my baby sitter since there was no way my mom would ever let me get it.

But I'm really looking forward to getting it, or just adding it to my Christmas list so someone else can waste their money on me, haha. And about the remake situation, I don't see anything wrong with remaking, as there are some people that sold their original games/consoles and can't play the original. Granted, nothing beats the originals (imo) but it's still nice to have updated versions of the games. That's just my take on the whole thing.
