Live in Florida, low on cash, and have nothing else to do Halloween night?

Well Halloween Candy Buyback may be the answer to your money troubles.

The only problem I see ehre is what the people giving out candy would feel?

So basically, they buy the candy, give it out for free, than the Trick-O-Treaters get the reward?

The people giving out candy might as well give it all to the dentists if that's all the candy is being used for.

There's a definite profit to gain from this, but could it sabotage the whole idea of Trick-O-Treating?

I like the idea... as long as they don't just trade trade in the candy they don't like, so they can buy more candy that they do like... I can see that happening a lot.

I might actually go trick or treating for once if I lived around there though. I don't eat candy as it is though. lol

I'm not adamantly against this or anything, but... I just don't like it. I feel as though it goes against the whole spirit of Halloween. It's not about getting money, it's about that one night out of the year where kids can fulfill the simplest of childhood fantasies: hording tons and tons of candy. I also dislike how they refer to dental cavities as a "disease"; if having cavities constitutes being diseased, then we've got a lot of sickly kids on our hands.

Still, I'm all for the program's existence. It's not like it's mandatory or anything, and I think it's cute that the candy gets sent to overseas soldiers.

The people giving out candy might as well give it all to the dentists if that's all the candy is being used for.
Not exactly, no. A pound or two of candy costs about $5 here, whereas it's resell value would be $2. I may live in NY but I'm pretty sure the prices are close enough.
