Yeah though, I don't see as much fan-fiction online anymore.
Really? Because there's a lot of Pokemon fanfiction still being published today, and I'm not even thinking of fanfiction.net, which has a lot of fanfics added to it every day. People are still writing and posting online. They're just not doing it as much here on PC as it used to be.

But Pokemon introduced me to some really great friends and to writing. When I was younger, I didn't have many friends until Pokemon came to the States and I became a fan. That was when I finally had something in common with a lot of people. Talking about Pokemon to other friends helped me start to gain confidence so my social anxiety wasn't as strong as it was. And from joining forums to talk about Pokemon, I met some amazing people who have stuck by my side for quite a few years.

Also, writing. I mean, I was always a writer, but it wasn't until I started writing Pokemon fanfiction that I thought that writing was something I could do seriously. While I changed my career path, I'm still writing fanfiction for Pokemon (and other fandoms). Writing Pokemon fanfiction especially helped me to begin my fantastical escape from all the trouble in my life. I could explore a world and be who I wanted to be while writing. And though I don't really need to escape my life anymore, writing Pokemon fanfiction now allows me to hold onto my childhood and the strong imagination that I had.

Sounds like Pokemon has done a lot for you, which is great. Lol. The part about holding onto your childhood is one of the best parts of your story in my opinion.

Why would you be embarrassed about that? Lol. It sounds really funny to me, it would have made me laugh.

Pokemon is the most amazing thing mankind has ever created. I am a pokemon master and i could'nt live without it.
I wouldn't say its the greatest, but it is most definitely up there.

Well, it helped me stay out of fights, because when I was little, instead of going outside to start trouble, I came home and played Pokemon :D
Lol. I did too. I wasn't concerned with much as a kid, not when there was a Gameboy and Pokemon Red waiting for me at home xD

Pokemon, made a lot for me. I learn ING, it pokemon, i meet great people it Pokemon Forums, such PC,i learn the meaning of "metagame". Well pokemon is part of my life 4ever
I don't know what "ING" is, but I too have met some great people as a result of Pokemon. I don't really know anyone here on PC, but the people all seem pretty cool. I don't know what "metagame" means either, lol.

Pokemon added an entire chapter to my childhood. I spent so many hours playing the first games and I will always remember that for the rest of my life. I also met new friends playing pokemon, many of whom are still my close friends today, even though they may have grown out of the game.

A lot of my friends were met through the common interest of Pokemon, lol. Even though most of them have grown out of the game, we're still good friends too. They grew out of it, but they never forget it. They still chime in when I talk about the Kanto Pokes' and some of the Johto and Hoenn ones (:
