What if in the games you could have a bigger variety of pokemon starters to choose from, kind of like the anime, you know like them trainers of the day who have different starters
West, on a plane bound west
I see her stretching out below
Land, blessed mother land
The place where I was born

Scars, she’s got her scars
Sometimes it starts to worry me
Cause lose, I don’t want to lose
Sight of who we are

From the mountains high
To the wave-crashed coast
There’s a way to find
Better days I know

It’s been a long hard ride
Got a ways to go
This is still the place
That we all call home

It's hard enough choosing between three usually, so if there were more choices right from the get go, I think it'd be harder. But if you mean being able to obtain them later through the game, then I guess that'd be okay, but I'm not really all about using a team mainly composed of starters.

What would be crazy is if you were randomly assigned a first-stage Pokemon in the beginning of the game. Think about the crazy Pokemon you could come up with. If the devs wanted to be jerks, they could make it so that you can only start a new game once a day. I want to see a hack or fangame do this, because I honestly wouldn't want to actually see this in a real title.

It'd be kind of cool. I remember me and my friends roleplaying Pokemon in our backyards with our favorite Pokemon as starters. It'd definitely be extremely difficult. My favorite is Gyarados. Having a Splash-happy Magikarp wouldn't get me very far at all. Neither would a Charm-ing Happiny.

I wish they would change up the types of the starters so its not fire, water, grass everytime. I would like to see a core of maybe Ground,Steel,Ice or some other triple pair of types that balance each other.

I'm an indecisive person, so I always just choose the fire type starter. If I was given more than one fire type to choose from, it'd take quite a while for me to figure out which one I actually want. ._.

It tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.

This sounds interesting. But choosing which starters to start with on your journey is hard enough already.
thats what I think. Its still hard when you choose from 2, because I never choose the grass type.XD XD XD
each starter is very different in terms of everything.
type
moves
etc
so no,keep it at 3.
edit:darkvhozon that is quite true they (Nintendo) should have done that already.
