Ah, Pokemon. Pokemon, Pokemon, Pokemon.
When i first found out about Pokemon... i was like 5 or 6.
I do believe we were still in Generation 2, or just introduced generation 3.
I was interested in pokemon when i was around 5-6. But... i never really watched it. or played it.
Big Mistake.
The one time i really saw Pokemon on tv at that age, it was pokemon movie 1.
My mum called me down to watch it. I didn't.
Again, big mistake.
a couple of years later, my friend came round to help us move into a new house.
He had Pokemon emerald. I played it. All i saw were zubats. He said to run every time.
I did.
i cant really remember what pokemon he had, but it might of been either combusken or a blaziken.
Anyway, a couple of years later, i got a DS Lite, along with 2 games.
Pokemon Diamond. And Pokemon pearl.
I played diamond the most.
I played diamond for about 3 years. My empoleon was level 97. (so freaking close.) all my others were around 70, except for a new pokemon i had fallen in love with, which was pichu. She was level 80 odd.
about a month after my empoleon was level like, level 98.
I lost it.
I lost Pokemon Diamond.
I was locked out of the pokemon world.
pokemon pearl was nowhere to be seen. I was hopeless.
about 1 year later,i had found Pokemon pearl. I played it.
Caught some pokemon i thought were useless before.
And i evolved them! I found more and more pokemon and tryed to catch them all! My partner, Pippy the Empoleon was about level 70, along with my Crobat which was about level 80. Caaught in the orobourgh mines at level 5. I had come such a long way.
Then. I came out of the pokemon world.
And into... the YGO TCG.
Now, skipping the chapters of that...
i find a guy, about 6 months into my YGO collecting.
He also collects yugioh cards.
I trade almost all of my cards, for a game.
The game of my life (other than twewy and kingdom hearts XD).
Pocket monsters, Ruby!
I was sucked back into the pokemon world!
I obviously chose a mudkip.
A whole new adventure to catch them all!
I defeat the elite 4 after months of training.
And... Im sucked right back out.
Damnit.
But...
Something kept the fire alite. it was... Pokemon Crater!
I collected, battled, won, lost, traded, caught and loved my pokemon.
...
But one day.
I Was hacked.
All my pokemon... Gone.
all for puny onix.
i cryed.
pfft.
A couple of days later, pokemon crater shut down.
I cryed. -shot-
then, once again, years later. Pokemon! Heart gold Soul Silver!
I got soul silver.
My journey had rebegun.
I chose cyndaquil.
It was me and her against the world!
I defeated the pokemon league, and trained hard.
I ran with the Pokewalker.
now, heres where it gets a bit strange for me.
A new generation.
...
...
I had been alive through 3 generation changes already. them though... I wasnt really into pokemon for.
...
Here comes generation 5.
V.
The new pokemon flood in, and after the whole world was waiting for like a year.
It came out.
Tsutarja! Go!
Use Leaf Blade!
Janovy Go!
Use Wring out!
Jalorda, GO!
Finish him off!

I had realised my long journey ment something. Courage comes rushing to me.
With Epic music.

The gym leaders last pokemon always got me pumped in B/W.
I always felt that that moment was real. it felt so Epic.
What will i ecounter next in this journey?
Generation VI?
Maybe.
Maybe in 3 years...
Generation 6 will be lit.
A whole new journey.

And even now, i wonder how i know generations 1-4, and most of generation 5s pokemon.
Its mysterious really.
It changes who you are.

Live on, Pokemon!

I could tell my story too, but I'll just tell the best part.

I almost never played the 4th Generation, thanks to my mother.

She was planning on cutting me off, but once I moved to live with my Dad, I was introduced to Sinnoh and all the wonders of the fourth generation.

Lol...I can tell you something....I'm out of sync with my generation....they're all running around with GSC games (and onwards), with the odd Yellow version, whilst I was too into Power Rangers and Lego to notice pokémon, so I joined in right at the end of Gen III with Emerald.....

Basically, for me it was exactly almost the same thing.

When I was around 5 or 6, my family friends came over for dinner. The 10-year-old girl, Laura, had a Gameboy Advance SP with Pokemon Sapphire. It had just been released, I remember. The [same age as me] boy, Ben, had a Gameboy Advance with Pokemon Crystal. He had a Feraligatr.
-
I played their games, and they were really fun. Well, maybe I just thought they were because I looked up to the kids.
-
I told my [mom/dad?] that I wanted a Gameboy and Pokemon!
[Don't remember this part :(]
So one day, we went to BestBuy. I went to the Game Boy section and immediatly picked up Pokemon Ruby, (I remember last one) and some Spyro game (which I remember and MISS).
-
I got my friend Gil into the series, and we played it everyday after school. Eventually Emerald came out and I was so excited about Emerald - "Moving Pokemon!" and "Both Teams!" and some other things.
It was so much fun....
But one year, before Diamond and Pearl, Gil went to a public school, and I don't know what happened there, but suddenly Pokemon was "stupid" and "for babies" to Gil. Whatever, at least I had gotten a new Pokemon friend, Jonathan.
-
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were nearing, and I still remember counting down to the date April 22, 2007 (I still remember the date!) until it came out. On April 21, my cousin Kobe slept over. The next morning, I suddenly remembered - POKEMON! I practically forced my dad to take us, or at least me to GameStop. So we went and I got Diamond, the last one in that shipping, and we felt bad for my cousin. So my dad got him Pearl.
That's three people I got into Pokemon!
-
After a while, DP got boring. I was sucked out of Pokemon. Almost. Sometime like March, 2009, Platinum came out. I hadn't known until sometime in May or something. So then I got that, and I was back into Pokemon!
-
Then I lost my DS with my Platinum in it, and I was out of Pokemon again. I didn't really realize it was lost until I really wanted to play with my Rayquaza, Ray Ray. I caught him in Emerald, sent him to XD, got him to LV100 after COUNTLESS BATTLES [over a few months/years?].
-
A few months later, I my sister found my DS, but Platinum wasn't in it. :( I was completely out of Pokemon - AGAIN.
-
Then basically above except with TCG.
-
Finally, sometime in March/April 2010, I went on Serebii, and saw some new games, Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out! I got Soul Silver... (Dot Dot Dot) and now I'm here! :D

I sort of related in the beginning because I was also five or six when I got into Pokemon, but after that our "Pokemon journeys" took a different course.

It must of been fate because I really don't remember ever seeing anything about Pokemon until one day I just turned on the television and the first episode of the whole anime was premiering. Of course I ended up watching the whole episode and from then on I was hooked. In the beginning the only part of Pokemon that I participated in was the anime. It came on everyday around three or four in the afternoon and I made sure to watch it! At the same time I had two older cousins who were also into Pokemon and while they too watched the anime they also played the games.

At this point I was about six and literally had no idea what a Game Boy or what Pokemon Gold even was, but I wanted it since it involved Pokemon. So that year for Easter my grandmother ended up getting me the special silver Game Boy that had a Pikachu and Pichu on it with Gold version. I should mention that only being six years old and in kindergarten I couldn't read. So to be honest I really don't know how I got through the game at all. It's all pretty foggy. :) Anyways after getting Gold I then heard about Silver and eventually Crystal. Thinking that they were completely different from Gold I ended up getting both. Even though I found out they were practically the same I still to this day end up buying all three games of each generation.

After getting through Gold, Silver, and Crystal I was told about Pokemon Yellow. Keep in mind that I was really young and so I was late on some Pokemon things then others. :p I remember I had to get it used because at this point it had already been out for a few years. I right away went into the game hoping to pick a Charmander as my starter only to be really confused when I was given a Pikachu and nothing else. Thankfully later on in the game I was able to get a Charmander and I pretty much took all my focus off all my other Pokemon and raised it to some ridiculously high level while all my other Pokemon were around level 15 or so. Even with an extremely high leveled Charizard I couldn't get past Lance and that's where I learned that you need to raise Pokemon evenly. :D

When I was about nine or ten I remember the third generation came out. I made sure to get Sapphire Version right away because sapphire is my birthstone and so... yeah. I ended up loving the third generation. Emerald especially was so much fun. I'm still not sure, but I think when it comes down to it Emerald might be my most favorite Pokemon game. If Blaziken wasn't there though it wouldn't have been that great. I can easily say Blaziken is the reason why the third generation was amazing. I didn't even try out Treecko or Mudkip for a year because of how much I loved using that fire chicken. ;)

Now the fourth generation marks a lot of things for me. It was the beginning of myself actually understanding how the games work. Before I never knew that pairing up a fire type move with a fire type Pokemon made the move extra powerful, I had no idea what EVs and IVs were, and for the most part the only website I followed for Pokemon information before the fourth generation was Pokemon.com (which is just horrible) so once the games would come out I had no idea what Pokemon to expect. I really don't know how it all changed, but somehow I found websites like Bulbapedia and Serebii by my own merit and I taught myself from there. Unfortunately the fourth generation was a huge disappointment for me. I hate the region and I don't care for many of the Pokemon.

Thankfully HeartGold and SoulSilver came out within this generation which helped me take the blow a bit better. While I still find HG/SS to be boring after a while I'd still rather play those then ever touch my Sinnoh games again. Now here I am waiting very patiently for Black and White. As of now I think they might fill the hole that the fourth generation left me with. I can't say I have any real complaints from what I've seen and I really hope it stays that way once I get my hands on them!

As for the anime I stopped watching once Ash made his way to Hoenn. Although I am in the process of re-watching all the anime until I can't bare it anymore so we'll see how far I get! I was also a big Pokemon card collector, but that has died off too. The last pack of cards I actually bought myself dates back to when the second generation was still going strong. So as you can see I'm just a Pokemon gamer now. I usually stick to the main series games, but I will admit I have a thing for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
