what do you think of the idea that like pokemon, attacks could have two types as well, for instance ice punch would be ice/ fighting and the new attack, boiling water, would be water/fire,

say Hiyappu (water monkey) used boiling water, instead of getting a 50% increase he would only get a 25% increase since he only has half the type in common,

and say he used that attack on a grass type, it would be normal effective, since fire is super effective and water is not very effective,

but if blaziken would use fire funch/ or blaze kick he would still get the full 50% stab increase since both Blaziken and fire punch would be fire/fighting type.

what do you think of this idea i had, do you hate it or love it, why could it work or not work, let me know

I agree with the above posters. This idea, while cool-sounding, is impractical and complicated.

Indeed - I would think it would just put the system way out of balance potentially and all, on top of the complications thing. That and it'd be saying to all those years of canon for some moves that 'oh hey, that move? it's really a dual-type attack, not just that type! =D' It was ok in 2nd gen (which was apparently meant to be the last main game anyways kinda?) with the steel and dark type which affected the magnemite line and that only, but now it'd be a bit too late to change multiple moves just like that. Then there's the issue of type immunities - if one typing has no affect on the target but the other does, what happens then?

And after all, think of the poor Bug/Grass Parasect with Dry Skin that gets hit by a Moltres' Fire/Flying Sky Attack, especially when you account for STAB twice.

I'd say no to dual typed moves because as cool as the concept sounds, it makes damage calculations more complicated.
Agreed. Although I guess it might be kind of cool to see what an Ice/Fighting typed Ice Punch would do to a Ground/Rock type.

It tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.

It would make calculating way to complicated, something no one needs when they try to relax by playing Pokémon!
