ok well I didn't know where to put this... thought of putting it in the help thread but I didn't know which one...

anyway, in the main games, how do the opposing pokemon pick their attacks? like I'm guessing that wild pokemon just choose any attack at random, maybe there's a +10% that they'll choose a move super effective against your pokemon...

and then maybe trainer pokemon there's a 90% chance they'll use a useful move...

idk, is there a formula that figures out how the computer pokemon attacks?

In ordinary trainer and wild Pokemon battles, the game randomly selects an attack for the opposing Pokemon to use. In battles against major trainers, such as gym leaders and the Elite 4, they choose attacks based on type advantage. They also employ strategies, unlike ordinary trainers.

It's the AI. I...don't know much else that can be said. But I don't see much discussion brimming from this. This would have been fine in a help thread, though. But it doesn't need its own thread.
