Ok, this is slightly doom & gloom.....feel free to state your love for pokémon will stay for all eternity, and as a ghost, you will play ghostly games on your ghostly 4DS (c'mon, they're gonna start putting everything in "4D" sooner or later once they invent it).....or just do what I'm doing.

Basically, I'm asking you all, when are you going to stop buying new pokémon stuff? Or even quite pokémon completely?? It's got to end some time...right? Anyway, I'm probably being unclear, so here's what I'm planning:

The Anime

- Once I've watched the end of the Sinnoh arc, it stops. Unless Team Rocket turns out to be kickass and Ash actually wins a league......and I may watch the movies. Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark is a must-watch as it was announced before the end of Sinnoh.
- My reasoning behind ending it? The anime is childish....I mainly watch it because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.....I need to find something else before I become addicted :P

The Manga

- I read Pokémon Special/Adventures, not one of the other manga. I have read the apparently short-live Pokémon Ranger ones as well.
- I think I'll stop when I've read up to the end of the Hg/Ss arc....who knows....certainly not before unless I completely forget about pokémon. I'll definitely stop buying the volumes once they've translated Emerald...if it's this century :S Because the story kinda becomes cut-off then....until Sird...yeah, I'll save spoilers, but there's a Manaphy hint too, but that's it.
- My reasoning? I'm buying it, but a huge collection in my room is going to make people think I'm obsessed...and I'm not going to hide it. Also, the plot's becoming too complex for me, tbh.

The Games

- I'm definitely buying up until the R/S remakes, whether they come before or after the B/W third version may decide whether or not I buy that...and if they make a second Kanto remake, I'll have that to complete the set.
- My reasoning? 649 pokémon are too much for me, they'll eventually make them DS-incompatible, but I want to see Hoenn in 3D, with the new, less extreme colours of DS...and Gen I/III Kanto wouldn't be bad either.....still, one day I'll have a job and no time...

So, do you guys even think about this as much as I do? Or is this going to go down in a heap of epically-failing one-liners....oh well, might as well post now xD

The Anime
- I just go back into watching the anime. I took a break from the Sinnoh Saga but I plan on watching it through eventually. After awhile I got bored of watching it. Now with Best Wishes I enjoy it just as much as I did when I was watching the Original back over a decade ago. I plan to remain watching it for some time, pending my interest stays.

The Manga
- I have never read the manga, so I don't even have a stance on this.

The Games
- I have always like the games, at least the Main Series ones. As long as they keep making them, I will keep buying them.It seems as though you left out the TCG aspect of pokemon, which have a lot of avid fans there. And was definitely a huge crazy back when I was a kid.

Ohh...forgot about TCG....I used to play that too...

TCG

- I stopped playing this...well, I never started properly, I just played on my own, read the rulebooks, studied the cards, etc. I actually once wrote down a list of every card I own, and its' characteristics. And I wrote down duplicates individually as well....no idea why. Anyway, I guess I stopped playing this when I forgot about pokémon...between Diamond and Platinum some time.
- I don't plan to get back into it, although I do like looking at the illustrations....same reason I keep game boxes and manuals around xD. Still, I lost my precious Torchic card out of my first ever pack...if I ever found that it might make me play again, but I would definitely guard that fiercely.....

Games keep entertainment which means kids are inside where they belong, they should stay.

The Anime should be cancelled, because its the same storyline basically, and its always boring. Ash catches Pokemon, wins Gym Badges, goes to elite four.

Manga, I have never read, but would be better than the Anime, but still is the same storyline.

The TCG is very boring, it's too complicated and means nothing if you win. You move random cards around and attack, wow... When I first seen it and tried it, I quit, and ever since, I think its for nerds...

Does not the game also repeat the same thing as well? You start out as a beginner, you receive a pokemon from the Professor and your Rival chooses the one with the beneficial type. You go through the game catching pokemon, defeating, gym leaders, going to the Elite 4? Kind of sounds like what you said about the anime. Ash goes to the Elite 4? Since when? He goes to Conferences and competes in them. He faces Elite 4 members occasionally but not as an Elite 4 challenge. Then every game has the criminal syndicate trying to take over the world or mold everyone to their own ideology.

According to everything posted here.. They really should stop making the anime. oAo granted people still watch it. I mean come on.. Ash and crew haven't aged at all. Oak should have died from old age by now >> *shot* They should just end the story entirely with him.. How many times can he find a new region to explore? 8I I hope they stop making games before they cap 1000 pokemon xD; Because by then they'll be like.... The most random things.. Paper pokemon.. There's already edible ones.. oAo *licks ice cream pokemon* :P

The Anime
The anime is where my introduction to Pokemon began, but I stopped watching once Misty left. Not because I was a die hard Misty fan or anything like that, but because I was slowly losing interest to begin with. So once she left I didn't have much of a reason to keep watching. Every once and a while I'll re-watch some old episodes. So far I made it to the very beginning of the Johto series and as I did before I'll most likely stop once I get to the point where Misty leaves. Overall the anime has been done for me for a few years now. Also when it comes to the movies everything after Mewtwo Returns is horrible.

The Manga
I never got into the manga. I think I read one book (I don't even know if that's how you refer to it) and that was it. I will say I do love the story line and the characters. I just never read it myself and I know I probably never will.

The Games
The games are the only part of the Pokemon franchise I still partake in. I have every single main series game and remake besides red. I also have some of the spin off games too which I enjoy. I really don't know when I'll completely drift away from the games. I've kept an interest for about thirteen years now and while I'm not as excited as I used to get I still look forward to getting the new games when they come out.

The TCG
I used to love the TCG. Back when I was little collecting Pokemon cards was the thing to do. I used to buy a pack every time I saw one and I had a little book to put all the cards in so they wouldn't get ruined. I haven't bought a pack in years. The most recent cards that I bought myself are from when the second generation was still going strong.

Anime: I've been watching it, but I took a slight break and now I'm catching up.

Manga: I have some volumes, but I skipped out on some. I'm still waiting for the latest volume to come out in English, but I reread the older volumes from time to time.

Games: I'm buying almost every game that appeals to me; I've done this since R/S.

TCG: I still collect the cards, but I don't play the game as much anymore.

The Anime: Gave up on it after the second season, and I will not watch it again until they get rid of Ash. And if they don't get rid of him, then I will never watch the anime again.

The Manga: Never got into it.

The Games: Getting B/W is still a question mark for me. Whether I will buy future games will be based on several factors including the design of the playable characters (where B/W falls short) and backwards compatibility.

Anime: I've watched the anime since the beginning and have no intention of stopping. It is my favourite part of the fandom. It is also what introduced me to the franchise and is the only part of the fandom what I remain active in.

PS - For those of you saying the anime should be cancelled, I say I think the games are just as repetitive. What does need to be cancelled is the introduction of new pokemon each generation. There are more than enough now and Nintendo can still make games without having to introduce new pokemon all the time.

Manga: I've read a few Pokemon Adventures online but haven't read much so I can't comment much on this.

Games: I only have Blue, Gold and Stadium. I don't have any of the newer consoles/handhelds so i play them on emulators if I can.

TCG: I used to buy Pokemon cards when they first came out but lost interest in the cards and threw them all out. Even if I wanted to still get them, I can't find any shop that still sells them.

The Anime:
I have watched ever episode of pokemon up to Sleepless in Pre-battle (Thats where i have up to on DVD), But i have watched the entire Sinnoh Saga that has been dubbed. I will most likely continue to watch it either till it stops or i die.

The Games
I own every game since Red came out and i mean everything i even me like pokemon Rumble and pokemon snap. So i love the games and i will continue to by game but at the moment I am more excited at the prospect of a remake of Ruby and Sapphire than Black and White, But that is only cause i have researched almost every aspect of the games and the remake at the moment is a mystery.

The Manga:
I read the pokemon adventures Manga but that all.

The TCG:

Got all the first 150 pokemon cards, but i stopped after that. I never really liked the cards i lost them all the time so i kind of gave up on them.

I agree. I love the anime much more than the games for several reasons.

I've already stopped.
I don't watch the anime anymore, I never read the manga and don't intend on taking it up, I stopped buying TCG cards a long time ago, and I haven't bought a game since FireRed (though I intend to buy HeartGold in the future, but that's it).
After that, I'll just play what I have. No need to continue spending my money on this.

Still, up to you.....

Anime
I've stopped watching it ages ago. Somewhere in the middle of Master Quest, I think. I mean, I would occasionally watch episodes if I happen to see it on, but I don't at all regularly watch it. It really just seems too lame and cheesy nowadays. It was made for younger kids, so of course I'd lose interest eventually.

Manga
I actually really like the manga, although I'm a bit behind, somewhere partly into D/P. I actually may go back and start reading again soon. XD I do think I'll follow it as long as I can, I just won't always waiting for the next chapter or anything.

Games
Oh gosh, I doubt I'd ever stop buying the games. I love seeing the new Pokemon and how each generation changes, and I still find the classic Pokemon forumla fun.

The Anime
I stopped watching this around age 11 so I don't have any vested interest in this anymore.
The Manga
I have only read about 12 chapters of the Red series of Adventures so again not much there for me.
The Games
these are where I'm at I love the games. I use them to kind of "Decompress" after the day I will probably never stop buying/playing them. I do not care how many Pokemon are introduced.

Anime: I stopped watching like 8 years ago. My nephew, whos 3, has recently started getting into Pokemon so I started getting back into it. The indigo league will always be the best to me but I enjoy the newer episodes and Ive really gotten used to the new voice actors as well.

Manga: Never knew it existed.

Games: I stopped playing Pokemon games in about 2005 and that was after a huge break. I had Red, Blue, and Yellow and played those till about the time I stopped watching Pokemon. I had Gold, Silver, or Crystal... I cant remember which that i got at a flee market and I popped it in and it was the same game as R/B/Y. I even remember getting up to Cerulean City and catching different pokemon in the area you travel to get to the Cerulean Cave. Maybe it was hacked game, I dunno, but I know i was in Cerulean and Kanto playing that game and it was at the beginning not the end. So because it was the same game I never went any farther and I left pokemon behind till I saw that they remade Red and Blue. I got that and played about 5 gyms worth and stopped. I tried Diamond in early 2009 and I just couldnt get into it and stopped after 20 mins or so. I did however like Mystery dungeons.

That games sat unplayed till about 2 months ago when my nephew started watching Pokemon all the time. It got me interested in again and I went back finished Leaf green (beat the elite four) and found a old Gold cartridge. I dont remember ever buying it and it wasnt the cardridge I spoke of int he previous paragraph. Anyway I put it on expecting it to be in Kanto and all but to my surprise it wasnt. It was a whole new area and town and the music was great and I was more knowledgeable with the pokemon and it was awesome. The cardrige was corrupted or something cause it doesnt hold a save so i set off to buy Heartgold. Bought it, loved it, except i wasnt a fan of the pokemon following you, and beat it in about 2 weeks. The shortest time its ever taken me to complete a Pokemon game. I pulled out Diamond and I got into that too. So ive been playing Leafgreen, Heartgold, and Diamond recently and I plan on getting Emerald soon.

I love the games and plan on getting B/W. I only wish that they could come out with another collesium type game but this time have it be singles battles with the occasional double battle thrown in and the ability to catch wild pokemon not snag em. But to make things different once the screen goes to the battle sequence make it like Super Smash Brothers melee and let us have full control over our pokemon in battle. I think that would be the ultimate.

Anime: Ash was awesome I like the new episodes too if they are on TV b/c the new Pokemon don't pop up at one time and they explain a lot in the anime.

Magne: don't read it

Cards: I will add in the cards because I collected the first base set. :) I stopped after that though as I started playing the Games.

Games: The games were the best in my opinion. I played Gen I and II. Never got a gameboy sp or w/e was needed for the third gen all I have is the good old game boy color. I started with Red version and caught all 151 pokemon, and surprisingly the games battery hasn't died yet. I got yellow to help complete the 151 and never had Blue version. Had an all star line up with level 100 Mewtwo, Mew, Dragonite, and the legendary birds. Second generation I got all three. Silver version was my greatest as I had the 250 Pokemon. I created the all star line up with level 100 Mewtwo, Mew, Dragonite (from Red Version), Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Tyranitar. (got tyranitar in a trade others were all trained on my time to level 100). I logged over 100+ hours on the Red version and over 300 on the silver version. (I did restart the Red version a few times so that I could save my master ball for mewtwo and the second time to complete the Mew trick). In silver I restarted once when I first got the game because I wanted to play as cyndiquil instead of chikorita. I started with charmader each time in Red as Charizard was my favorite non-legendary pokemon. My silver version died recently (battery died) and I lost my line up. :( I never accomplished the celebi trick as it was discovered after my time, but as you can see I liked the games the most from the amount I write about them. I have a lot of knowledge about the first and second generation games (as does many other people) so if you have questions ask me. :)
If you want help with the first or second gen games than contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

The Anime
Hm, I haven't watched the anime for years, and even back then I didn't watch it regularly.

The Manga
Never really cared about it, I find always mangas too difficult to read.

The Games
Actually the only thing I bought after GS was Pearl. However, I'm still playing the games excessively and probably will keep doing so for a couple of years, maybe even longer.

TCG
I think I have one Gastly card I once found lying on the street in the attic. Might have thrown it away at some point though.
