I'm more of a Psychic type trainer, and I go for the one's with the high special attack, so I'd have to say Lunatone here.

I don't use "uber" Pokemon, I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones. If you use this philosophy, copy & paste this into your signature.

I like them both. I've never used either, but both their designs are very nice. :3

Solrock, only because it can learn some fire moves so it has more variety than Lunatone. And it looks a lil better too.
There was nothing. Followed by everything. Swirling, burning specks of creation that circled life-giving suns. And then we reached to the light.

@ Curious, you are only one permitted to make one Pokémon vs Pokémon thread a week. You already made the "Gengar vs. Mismagius" thread for this week, so this thread goes against the rules. Because of the sufficient number of replies given, I'm just going to let this slide, but for future reference remember, "Only one Pokémon vs. Pokémon thread a week per person."

To answer the question though, I like Solrock. I like that it is more universal in the variations of moves it can use compared to Lunatone. And having Ruby as my first game, Solrock was a Pokémon I had on my team once and it did fairly well for its part.

I don't really care for either of them, to be honest. They just don't really stand out to me. :\

But, if I had to choose one, it'd be Lunatone. I don't know, I guess I just prefer the moon over the sun (in terms of design.) I just think it's better than a sphere with spikes sticking out of it. Plus, I got Pokemon Sapphire, so I'm more accustomed to seeing Lunatone. ^^
Another really hard choice. D:

Both are great although I sort of wish they were typed as (Fire/Psychic) Solrock,(Water/Psychic) or (Water/Rock) Lunatone, just my two cents.

Anyways, design wise I have no complaints whatsoever. Both have always been very appealing and sort of mysterious at the same time. All throughout the III generation I thought Meteor Falls was holding some kind of secret in the game and that Solrock and Lunatone might have something to do with it, but unfortunately I was wrong. :p

When it comes to stats I'm not too big on Solrock being a physical attacker. Especially since its move pool doesn't support its physical stat that well. Well I should say doesn't support any psychic stab moves well. Just looking at its Black/White move pool it can't learn one physical psychic move. Which disappoints me a bit.

The same thing happens to Lunatone where it has a better special offensive stat then a physical one. So it benefits with all its psychic stab moves, but not with its rock moves. The thing with this is I'd probably be more likely to use psychic stab moves from these two rather then rock stab moves, so that's where Lunatone would be more beneficial for me. Although I suppose you can work it out by just using Solrock as your primary rock type and forget about its psychic typing besides using some status moves since its special attack isn't really anything to die over.

Even though Lunatone would probably be a little more useful for me I'm going to have to go with Solrock. Something about it makes it really interesting. Although I'm not sure what it is.

I hate them both to be honest... haha. But, I will vote for Lunatone, because Solrock creeps me out.
