There are many different types of Pokemon out there. I'm interested to see which kind of Pokemon people like the most. It was sort of difficult throwing them into groups, since many Pokemon fit into more than one category, like Bulbasaur. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about:

Animal-like Pokemon:
Most Pokemon fit here. Pokemon that are based off the many animals that inhabit or once inhabited our world. This is for Pokemon like Pikachu, Torkoal, and, Rampardos.

Plant-like Pokemon:
Self-explanatory. Think of Pokemon that are plant-like in appearance, like Vileplume, Seed bby, and Carnivine.

Human-like Pokemon: Most of these Pokemon are bipedal and strongly resemble humans. Think Hitmonchan, Gardevoir, and Jynx.

Pokemon that resemble machines/inanimate objects: It's not hard to guess what goes here. This is for Pokemon like Magnemite, Klink, and those hideous garbage things.

Pokemon based off legends and myths: Probably the most confusing. This is for Pokemon based off legends and myths, like dragon-types and most legendary Pokemon.

Other: It was difficult setting up these groups, so I couldn't have possibly got all the Pokemon.

Anyways, I like animal-like Pokemon. Honestly, I don't like it when Pokemon are portrayed with a lot of personality, and intelligence. I'll let certain Pokemon like Alakazam, [email protected], etc. get away with it, but like to think of most of them as just dumb animals, maybe a bit more intelligent. Somehow that just makes Pokemon more charming for me. However, that's just me. I don't have a problem with other kinds of Pokemon, unless they're just too human-like.

I chose Animal and Human-like Pokemon, because they seem more natural. I just can't get used to using things like the Magnemite line... there's just not a lot of personality in them.

I've never thought about the shapes of the Pokémon I like, but you pose an interesting. I've always learned towards Psychic pokemon myself, but I guess I prefer elegant, pleasantly shaped Pokémon overall. Which is funny though, 'cause none of my favorite Pokémon are pleasantly shaped except Dragonair <3

Animal and human for the most part, although when it comes to the legendaries, most of the ones I like are animal based too (Raikou and Zapdos). But yeah I see what you mean.

Plants are cool too, though, though most of them are somewhat human-lilke to some extent- Roserade, Doredia, and those are the ones I prefer.

As for inanimate ones, like Klink and stuff- not such a big fan. Although I do love some- Magnezone, Metagross, and Drifblim.

I like the weird ones, the ones based on objects, for the creativity it took to make something that didn't necessarily have a face or anything that shows personality and making it something fun to look at. In that same idea I like a lot of plant based ones since plants aren't usually known for being very expressive. I feel like it's these kinds of designs which make the franchise more interesting.

I love grass types so it's only natural that I'd go with plant based Pokemon. I think it's that imagery I've always had of a plant popping out of the ground and walking around when no one is looking that Pokemon captured to some extent, that I like so much. I tend to always use this as an example, but Bellsprout is a Plant Pokemon that I can see doing exactly that. I also think plants make great decorations that can liven up any living area! :D So imagining myself with a house full of cute little Bellsprouts, Monmens, and Sunfloras sounds wonderful.

I mostly prefer animal-like Pokemon. Teddiursa, Meowth, Sandile, etc.
They just seem like they end up having the most personality, and they're easy for me to get attached to.

I really don't hate any of the other groups though. Even the inanimate/mechanical type Pokemon can be pretty neat. I think Klink is adorable (I love the faces on the gears) and Bronzong is kind of cool, especially after reading the story behind it.

For some strange reason, I prefer grass type Pokemon over all others. =D Maybe it is because I like greenery and hence Grass type Pokemon fulfill that desire to some extent in the Pokemon world. And I find the best designed Pokemon to be grass type Pokemon as well. Therefore, Plant like Pokemon would be my preference.
