Well, this weeks poem of the week topic is Fears. I'm a judge this week, so I couldn't participate, but I wrote one anyway. It's not exactly polished, and this is what I want to submit to my schools competition, so
please give me as much constructive critism as possible, don't go easy, because I really want it to be perfect. I won't be offended :)
This particular poem is a list poem (you can find out what that is in my little poetry guide), so that may be why it sounds so choppy.
These That I Fear
The mystery of the dark.
The ever-so-silent bugs.
The creepy sights of Central Park.
The dark alleys filled with thugs.
The voice inside my head.
The steady accusations of the clock.
The fiends that live beneath my bed.
The quiet and ominous sounds by the dock.
All of the thoughts cruel children surmise,
Which I fear might lead to my ultimate demise.
I'm not so great with rhyming, so tell me if it worked or not!
Why, Yes
