The story of my first kiss

Watching people pass by, I watch them with cold eyes.
Not letting my gaze waver, I watch them silently.

Some talking on phones, some using a Bluetooth,
Some laughing, some depressed, some begging for change.

I watch them with dead eyes, receiving strange looks.
Not that I cared, but it still hurt me a little inside.

Then I see a girl, and my gaze focused on hers.
She was attractive, not like a model, but her beauty was of those of a dream.

I followed her. Standing a few feet away, I followed her silently.
Some might call this stalking, some might call this a crime, but I still followed her.

Her strides were strong, telling the world she wasn't afraid of anything.
I admired her a little, and had arousing thoughts, but I pushed them aside,
reminding myself that she wasn't mine.

She turned the corner, and I followed. Where she was going was my destination as well.
I started slowing down, as I didn't want to be caught,
The thought of her scowling at me made me shudder.

That's when I stopped to think maybe I should go, but I legs thought otherwise.
I kept following her, then she entered the park.

I wondered, why was she going there, it's closed.
But I ignored those thoughts and followed.

She walked along the path and then went into the wood, I hurried along,
Following her every move.

I kept wondering, where was she going, what's going on?
Then she stopped at last, and I hid in the brush.

She took something out of her bag, a bunch of Morning Glories,
And set them near a branch.

She clasped her hands, and prayed. She wasn't very quiet, because I could hear her.
I wondered why was she praying near a tree?

Then she walked away, and I was about to follow until I saw a stone, no bigger than my foot, near the tree.
It said here lies Gerald, who died bravely as a firefighter trying to save his sister. May his soul rest in peace.

I realized that she was prayed to the stone, not the tree, then came to realize that there was a body under me.
Shocked and a bit confused I fell, and bumped my head. I passed out,
thinking that I was an idiot for getting knocked out in the cold.

When I came to, I was aware that someone was saying something,
Saying are you alright? I said yes, and then I opened my eyes and saw her.

My jaw went slack, and then I realized my head was on her lap.
Embarrassed I got up, and then felt a sharp jolt of pain.
My left arm was broke, and I said something rather foul.

She laughed a little, and I blushed. I said thanks, she said no prob.
She told me that she called the ambulance, and said she was staying until they came.

I said okay, and then things got quiet. My soul was split into two,
One saying confess your feelings, other said don't even try.

Unsure, I made conversation. I asked her what was her name.
She said Vida, I said mine. I asked her how did she find me, and she said she heard a high-pitched yell.

I said what, and she laughed again. I was embarrassed, but enchanted at the same time.
Then I asked what were you doing here, and I immediately regretted.

She stopped laughing, and all went silent again until she started crying.
Then I started to too, thinking it's unfair when girls cry. Their emotions always seem to get to you.

Then she stopped, and quietly said I was visiting my elder brother's grave,
I said why. She said it was his birthday, and I asked how did she get morning glories.

Then she eyed me, and asked how did I know, and I felt guilty. Then I watched as the gears turned in her head,
And then asked how did I get here.

Normally I would lie, but her piercing gaze made me confess. She then got angry,
And told me off. I was crying again, but not what she said to me, but what was happening.

Then she started to leave, and then with my broken arm I said stop.
Then she began to run, I said something foul and started to run as well.

We ran past trees, ran past brush, even the lake nearby. Then she turned, and almost fell into the frozen pond.
She screamed, I ran faster, and grabbed her hand mid-second. I said hold on, she said what else could I do?

I started to pull, using my feet, and tried pulling her up. It didn't work, she slid down farther.
I then came to realize I couldn't pull her up with one hand, so I used my broken one.

Blinding pain came in, I started to scream, and pulled her up slowly.
Then I heard something crack, and I looked at my arm.

It was disfigured before, but now...A bone visible.
The pain came in, I started to go into a fog, and the she screamed again.

I came back, and pulled, pulled, pulled, ignoring my increasing pain as I pulled her back.
I did it with so much force we rolled down, since we were one top of a hill we went down fast.

We can to stop, both of us breathless, and then all was quiet, until she laughed.
I started to laugh as well, even though my pain was blinding. We laughed into hysterics, and we couldn't even breath.

Then she said I was scared to death I might die, all thanks to you,
I said I saved your fat ass. We laughed some more, but then she stopped and said

Why were you stalking me?
I stopped laughing, and I looked down, unsure what to say.

Then I said because I thought you were very attractive, she rolled her eyes and said there are much better than her.
I said that's not true, you're different, you have something they don't.
She said stop joking, besides you want to get in my pants,
I got angry, and said quietly

I never thought that, and I thought you were a strong person. Your brother died, that would've made many sad, angry or even to the point of suicide, but you obviously didn't. You're strong in my eyes.
I started to walk away, said I'll wait for them, she should leave,

Then she said wait, I said what, more insults,
Then she punched me in my face, I fell down, she and leaned in and said idiot, I just wanted to say thanks.

Then she kissed me. I was really shocked at first, but I slowly stopped fidgeting.
My pain went away, I felt happy for once in my life. I stopped thinking about anything else.

We did this for a while, until we heard some sirens, and then she got up and said thanks.
I said thanks for what, she said for saving her, and telling her that she was strong, and not being a guy who just wanted to get in her pants.

I rolled my eyes, and just laughed, as I just said come on, and we walked up the hill back and to the park.

I then passed out on the way back, I lost a lot of blood, and she must've somehow carried me as I awoke in a hospital.
I was dazed, and thought as was a dream, until the nurse came in and said some girl left a pot of morning glories.

I looked at the desk, and saw a paper sticking out. I grabbed it, and I laughed hysterically.

It said get well soon, and don't stalk other girls, or I would be known as the boy who died unexpectadly. Sh left her phone number, and I just smiled, as I feel back asleep, knowing I would contact Vida again.

Yeah, this actually happened to me, however Vida moved away but she'll be back when I'm probably 17. She moved to NYC.

Yeah, I embellished the pulling part, because like I said was in deep pain (I'm surprised I didn't die or pass out by then), so I had to guess what was happening.

Pokestick, good times.

That's really toughing. :3
You've got so much to tell, and you do it so well (that wasn't meant to rhyme -_-).

And I guess it shows some light in a few dark tunnels.

Well done!

This is just powerful! Very powerful!
A blend of humor, drama, and romance can really make a poem seem so real (it really was?).
Now the modest theme in the structure is odd, but still very nice.
Great job!

Also, was the death of Vida's eldest brother real too?
Because I understand how she feels.

Yep, story was real, only the pulling was embellished a little.

Vida's brother did die, she and her family eventually moved him to a final resting place since they didn't have enough money to get him a proper rest, so they buried him in the park.

It's really sad how he died, she told me all about it.

Oh I forget to clear up a bit of things, Vida picked out MG's because those were her brother's favorite flowers, they apparently had a garden together. Also Vida isn't as mean/jerky as the story tells, she's really nice after she warms up to you.

...I see.

And the reason why I understand how it feels is because my eldest brother died too. In a single car accident. None of us were there, but when the news reached us......(sigh)....tragic.

Well, if there's any way you can make contact with her, tell her she has my sympathies.
