Favorite Pokemon medium

There was a little break between the first poll of the week and this one, but after this poll weekly polls for Pokemon General should be a continuous sticky thread topic for all of those who are curious.

This week's poll question is what is your favorite Pokemon medium? Meaning what part of the Pokemon franchise do you enjoy the most? For example do you enjoy the Pokemon Manga, Trading Card Game, Anime, or Games the most? If none of those apply is there something else within the Pokemon franchise that you really enjoy?

Also, don't forget to vote in the poll! This thread will be closing next Friday, February 4th, so post while you can!

Feel free to PM Serene Grace or myself with future weekly poll ideas.

Mine has been and will always be the games. I manage to rack up hundreds of hours on every one of my game I like them that much.

The games, that's what I mostly do. All of my free time I EV Train, go on PO, do challenges and do Contests on RSE. Close second goes to the anime, since Best Wishes is appealing. I don't read the Manga and stopped with the cards in 2005.

The Games. You can play them any time, and the good thing about Pokemon games is that you can spend hundreds of hours playing them.

For me, it's the games. As loads of peeps have already said, you can spend hundreds of hours playing them and not get bored. Whether you're a number cruncher and like to EV train, or a strategist who likes to create the perfect team, or like me you just play for the sheer enjoyment of it. ^^

The anime would come a very close second, simply because it was one of the few 'cartoons' on that didn't patronise you. I liked that very much. :) Funnily enough I wasn't aware of what the various manga was actually like (before I just assumed it was some sort of regurgitation of the anime and games) until recently - I'm interesting in looking into it. :)

As far as TCG is concerned, I only have cards in the same way that everyone has cards stashed somewhere in the attic. I only had them because everyone was into it at primary school - only a few people actually knew the rules and played, I think the rest of us had them because we enjoyed the games and anime so much.

To conclude: Pokémon is awesome. :D

The merchandise!

:) What's kept me more in the fandom lately is collecting. I don't collect as much anymore since none of my favourites in gen 5 have gotten any merch yet and I have pretty much everything of the other Pokémon I collect (and they won't ever get any merch now that gen 5 is out ;_;). But for the last while? Yeah, collecting has been my main joy in Pokémon.

Second would be the games. I don't really pay attention to anything else. :p

It's the games. Although I do watch the anime with some regularity, it seems to be mostly just habit now as opposed to exactly enjoying it, lol. The TCG collecting consumed me back in the day, but that soon eventually wore off as well. The manga is something I never really followed either. Even after all these years, the games are still fun.

Ineffable~

The games. I don't do anything else at all~
I tried to watch the anime several times but just never really got into it . . . I mean for one it's on way too early. I used to really like the cards and I even had a a TCG video game but now my interest fades along with the general popularity of the cards (no one to play with :[ ) and the relevance of the GameBoy Color. (I can't stand to play on anything less than a DSi now because I'm too used to it. xD)
Oh and I've never been into any manga. Guess it's just not my thing.

As for merchandise . . . I love it, but unfortunately the only thing I can really avidly collect is coins. Everything else is lost on me when in big numbers. Hence I only have a few material tokens of Pokémonism.

It's hard to decide for me but my list would be like this:
1.)Games-No doubt I spend more time playing the games than anything else
2.)Anime-This would probably fit 2nd for me because I usually catch the show on TV, not to mention I have season 6 on my PS3 and I'll go on YouTube to watch new episodes I missed
3.)Manga-Just recently started reading it and I like it but I think I spend more time watching Pokemon than reading it
4.)TCG-I stopped with the cards way back around 2001 after I lost all of mine so without a doubt this is at the bottom for me

I'm a big fan of the anime, believe it or not (lol). I started Pokémon with the anime, and the speculation and such about it has always been fun for me. I can be more creative using the anime as well- fanfiction, fanart, etc.
The games are a close second because I started with Emerald, loved it, then disliked Pearl and Platinum, and was okay with Heart Gold. I love 'em but they're not my favorite.

Well, I guess the games would be my choice. But the anime comes very close, I've been a fan since I was younger - very active in the anime section etc...
There was nothing. Followed by everything. Swirling, burning specks of creation that circled life-giving suns. And then we reached to the light.

Games, of course.
I hate anime, i'm not interested in manga and it's not really easy to play TCG in eastern Europe. >_<
Playing games was really fun for me and i think it's the thing that Pokemon should be known for. I just can't stand people who think that it's just a "stupid childish cartoon".

Games for me. I can spend forever playing them and replaying them without getting tired of them. There's always a Pokemon I haven't trained before or a new team that's fun to use, so it doesn't get boring.

A close second would be the manga, though I've only read through part of GSC for now.

The only time I really like to watch the anime is during big battles (like league conferences) and I haven't really been interested in the TCG since the GBC game came out (though I still have fun playing that from time to time).

The games, They're addicting, and you'll never get bored of them.
I do watch the anime sometimes when it's on tv, but I'm not a great fan of it.
Never read the manga, and I stopped collecting cards with the come of Gen IV.

TCG. The anime got me started on it. I love how much variety there are within each pokemon even on the cards. There can be a dozen or more forms of each individual pokemon. Games + Anime tied second.
