Hello again fellow challengers, I deleted the old leaf green save file (transferred my shiny Caterpie!) and I decided to begin once again the Nuzlocke challenge on my leaf green. So, here are the rules I'll be following:

1. If a Pokemon Faints, its dead, release it.
2. You can only catch/recieve one Pokemon in each Area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.
3. You must nickname all of your Pokemon (optional, but highly reccomended)
4. No catching legendaries.
5. Trading is disallowed, but the reasons following this clause are allowed. Egg trading is okay, same thing with Pokemon that can't have eggs. (optional) Trading simply for the purpose of evolution is perfectly OK.
6. Change the battle style to SET. (optional)
7. You can only use normal Pokemon balls to capture Pokemon (Safari balls are the only exception)
8. Though gyms - once when you enter a gym, you can't go out unless you beat the gym leader and you have to beat all trainers
9. You can't run away from wild Pokes unless your Pokemon's ability is Run Away (self destructing Geodudes will be a pain in the neck)

What makes a true hero? A true hero is one that fights for what they belive in. They follow their heart into either the heavens or the abyss, and when they die they have to finally understand their flaws for death is every heros welcome.

I'm going to do a Nuzlocke challenge in Emerald. About time I'm doing this... I always thought it was too hard for me but I'm going to do it now :)

Below are the rules I'll follow.

(optional)

I might make comics if I have extra time on my hands.

Meh, I've completed White once. I'll do the Nuzlocke challenge on that one, if you wouldn't mind. I'll be following rules 1, 3, 4, 5 (Except for Zekrom- there, I stand resolute, plus you have to), 6, 7, and 8- Although my comics will be more on the line of a fiction narrative- I have no idea how to upload pictures. The first installment will be up... At some point.
May you always walk with honour
And destiny side with you
In even your darkest hour

And may the sun never set
Upon your finest glories.

i think i've tried this several times already but never managed to finish... i'll try again.

Version: Yellow
Rules: 1, 3, 4 & 5

i can't make comics to save my life xD but i'll try to type a short and sweet story with every update. thankyouverymuch.

just one thing... when i move through route 1 before i get pokéballs, does that mean that the pokémon i encounter there are the first pokémon and the only pokémon i would have been able to catch there? like, can i go back later and catch a pokémon on route 1? i think i can.

I think the rule only applies after you get your first pokeballs.

Anyways here's my progress

Defeated Wattson with ease (Thanks to Nigel's Water/Ground typing)

Caught Replacement sumoman (Makuhita), Machop, and named it Muscle (I know... so creative)
Wildy evolved!
Encountered skarmory at route 113... but had no pokeballs left :(
Finished the meteorite quest, and now at Lavaridge Town.

good then.

Update 1!

Spoiler:
What is your name? Uh... it’s Boy. What is your rival’s name? Hmm… it’s Girl :D fits him right.

Boy gets his first Pokémon, since Girl snatched the Eevee from right under his nose… and it’s the Pikachu that Oak caught earlier. Boy is naming it Abraham! The very first of his Pokémon.

Abraham thundershocks Girl’s Eevee into oblivion, but somehow it apparently survives. Sneaky. Anyways, Abraham the Pikachu grows to level 6 and learns Tail Whip.

We move north and kill some stuff on route 1 before hitting Viridian City and getting the parcel from the store. We fry some more Pidgeys on our way back to Pallet and get the pokédex from Oak.

Then we kill some more things back to Viridian and Abraham grows to level 7 :3 And now we can FINALLY buy pokéballs. So we do. And of course, antidotes.

Boy goes back to route 1… and encounters a Rattata! Named it Brew. We go out onto route 22 and find a Mankey. Bingo! We call it Cowbell. What a team already, two rats and a pigmonkey. Did some training, during which Brew grew to level 6 and… Cowbell died. Boy wasn’t paying enough attention… stupid stupid Boy :,(

Down to two rats now. And all hope of defeating Brock gone.. unless we can find a Caterpie in the forest. On route 3 or something, we found Dino the Pidgey. Aaand entering Viridian Forest, we did indeed meet Esekiel the Caterpie! We went back and trained until Esekiel evolved into a boring Metapod. Inside the forest, Esekiel grew to level 10 and evolved into a bbbbeeautiful Butterfree :D Abraham grew to level 10 and Brew grew to level 7. Aaaand I actually didn’t care much about Dino. Even if having a bird called Dino is pretty awesome.

When we reached Pewter City and the gym, Esekiel single handedly took on the trainer inside and grew to level 11. Then she (Esekiel is a she now) took on Brock and won that too. And grew to level 12. Marvelous!

As Boy walked out from the gym, he thought about Cowbell… he did win against Brock even without the pigmonkey’s help. Never give up hope! Cowbell was with him.

Back on route 3, Boy did some training so that Brew could also join the club of level 10+. On the route east of Pewter, Brew fought some trainers and grew to level 11. Then Abraham stepped in to show who the strongest mouse was. He grew to level 11 and learned quick attack.

Aaand that’s where I’ll save for now.

Team:
Abraham
lv 11

Brew
lv 11

Esekiel
lv 12

Dino
lv 3, lol

today was greeted by prof. oak. It was strange enough he forgot his own grandsons name. Being arrogant i kleft the town in spite for adventure...at least i tried anyway. that old man stoped me and hear comes a wild pikachu. The man had skills. He captured it like it was a magikarp. Anyway, he brought me to his lab and my rival "jack" was there. *sigh* such a rude child. Not only did he steal my soon to be evee but he also stole my dignity. So porf oak gave me my first pokemon. i named it "Maus". i challenged jack to a pokemon battle and paralyzed is evee with thundershock. =D he was so mad. I taught that spoiled brat a lesson. He left the lab in disgust. This day has been AWSOME!!!! We ventured into route 1 killing pokemon as we pleased. Maus finally reached level 10 and we arriveed in viridian city. Maus was healed and the first stop....POKEMART. The Proffessor must have alzheimers. forgetting both jacks name and his package. I guess i better return it. I finally gave it to him and now Jack wants to show up being douchey. Is he stalking me? o.o Ill keep my suspicions to myself for now. Anyway ive got a pokedex and my adventure is a GO GO GO!!!!

I've gone through a lot between 4th gym and now... about to go into the magma hideout.

run-down of what happened

Spoiler:

-Beat Flannery easily with Nigel (Marshtomp).
-Muscle evolved into Machoke, then I spent quite a time trying to get trades to work, then evolved it into Machamp.
-Beat Norman with Machoke fairly easily... preparation helps :)
-Met tropius at Rt. 119. Was quite surprised because Tropius was quite rare. I got it down to about 60% HP, then Crit killed it... no HM slave :(
-Wildy (Manectric) fried 3 of Winona's pokemon, and Rainy finished off the rest.
-Caught Oddish in route 120 and named it Flowerweed... It died the next battle (Lost pictures for these)
-Nigel evolved into Swampert!
-Caught Vulpix at Mt. Pyre. Named it firefox :)
-At this point I needed a pokemon that knows Fly. So I went back to Route 115, then encountered a Taillow, then which I caught, and named it "Bird." (I'm so creative, eh?)
-Did some grinding. Bird (Taillow) evolved in the process.
-Saved at Mt. Chimney

Oh. Yes.

So, today I finally remembered I have an ongoing Sapphire run. The last update was a while ago, which you can see here:
http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?p=6323595#post6323595
Quite a long time ago. I think only a couple challengers will remember that thread... Anyhow, let's begin.

Spoiler:
So, after grinding each member of my team up to a reasonable level 50 (Still pretty underleveled IMO), I decided to challenge the E4. After wiping the floor with Wally, I figured it was time. I bought about 99 Full Restores, just in case, and headed inside.

Oh, boy. Sydner was up first. Gary the Medicham defeated Mightyena with just one Hi-Jump-Kick. Absol suffered the same fate. Cacturne was up next, and didn't stand a chance against Earl the Swellow's Aerial Ace. Sharpedo didn't last one turn against Andy the Sceptile, and Shiftry was taken down by Earl. One down, 3 and a champion left to go.

I was a bit worried about facing Phoebe, as my only supereffective move was Gary's Shadow Ball, and he was weak to other ghost attacks. But it actually wasn't that hard. Gary promptly defeated Dusclops, and Shelly the Walrein was able to defeat essentially everyone else with Surf.

I was also pretty worried about Glacia. If you've read the official Nuzlocke comic, you would have seen that Glacia's Walrein was able to take out a Medicham, one that was probably higher levelled than Gary. Victor the Ninetales defeated both Glalies, and Gary wiped the floor with her Sealeos. It was Walrein time, and I was hoping that Gary wouldn't miss with Hi-Jump-Kick. But it actually got a crit on Walrein. I am a lucky boy.

It was time to take down some dragons, as Drake was next. Before I go any further, I just want to say that Shelly is awesome. Why? Well, Ice Beam took down all of Drake's Pokemon, except Salamence. It attacked first, and got Shelly's HP dangerously low. I figured I should switch to Earl to she could heal. The turn I healed up, Salamence got a critical hit and sent Earl to his grave. The first loss in the E4. Shelly quickly avenged him with a Blizzard to Salamence. RIP Earl.

It's what you've all been waiting for...

The champion battle, versus Steven! Oh yeah.

Skarmory was no big deal. It was only able to get one layer of Spikes before Shelly destroyed it. Claydol? Andy was able to bring it down in 2 Leaf Blades, one of which was a critical hit. Up next was Cradily, who got Ice Beamed by Shelly. Half way done! I accidentally sent out Bruno the Hariyama to deal with Armaldo. Big mistake. Bruno survived a Slash, only to be taken down by another one. RIP. But Shelly quickly destroyed the fossil. Gary took awhile to defeat Aggron due to Steven using about 3 Full Restores , and had to take multiple Earthwuakes before bringing it down.

Steven sent out Metagross. I feared this moment the entire time I played. But what had to be done had to be done. Gary attempted to Hi-Jump-Kick...

...Only to be killed by Psychic. RIP Gary

Shelly was no match. Only one Surf was used before Meteor Mash broguht her down. RIP.

It was up to my final two, Victor and Andy. Andy didn't have anything to deal with a Metagross with half its HP left. However, Victor did.

Victor used Flamethrower.

Metagross fainted. I had won my second Nuzlocke run!

Starting a Nuzelock on my RUBY emulator. I doubt I'll make it very far though. Using these rules:

1. If a Pokemon Faints, it will be put in either "Heaven" or "Hell"
2. You can only catch one Pokemon in each Area.
3. You must nickname all of your Pokemon
4. No catching legendaries.
5. No Trading
6. Make Comics whenever something happens.

Okay so I was going to do comics but I just don't feel like it.

I started Ruby, and got a Mudkip and named it Lenovo. Went through the boring storyline and bad character development quickly thanks to the speed up button. I got my pokeballs and went out to catch something...I prayed for it to be a Wingull on the first root. It was...

A wurmple. I named it Fujitsu and trained it until it became a Silcoon. I had an ok team I guess. One 4x resists the second gym, and the other is super effective against everything in the first. After training on the lower routes, I went up to the top one to catch something else. I prayed for either a Poochyena or a Wingull and got...

A Zigzagoon. So I named it Dell and trained it a little. It has pickup so yay. After training and somehow now dieing, I moved on to the next route with all the trainers. This time, I prayed for anything not a wurmple or zigzagoon. And I got...

A zigzagoon. So I named it eMachines and didn't bother training it as it can use pickup yay! So I went through all of that and made it to the next route with the ocean. I ran into the grass, praying for anything but a Zigzagoon. And I got...

A zigzagoon. So I named it IBM and didn't bother training it as it can use pickup yay! So I went through all of that and made it to viridian forest Petalburg woods. I ran into the grass, praying for anything but a Zigzagoon. (Also my Silcoon evolved into Beautifly so yay for that)

I ran into a Cascoon but I only had one pokeball left and it didn't catch him. Whatever. I just really need a Taillow or something right now because I have no flying types and it makes me sad.

Pokemon Leaf Green:
The Nuzlocke Challenge

Chapter #1: Team Red, GO!

Started my game, A mashed through the intro, named myself Red and my rival Gary (fail, his grandfather can't remember his name xD). Started my journey in Pallet Town. Wanted to go outside of the town, but Prof. Oak stopped me. I was given my first own Pokemon. I have chosen Charmander named Scott.

My future partner through thick and thin.

Defeated Gary for the first time and moved on. I prayed for not encountering anything on Route 1, but I encountered a Pidgey on the last patch of grass (no pokemon for Route 1 -.-). Got the Oak's parcel and delivered it to Prof. Oak. Got a Pokedex and five Poke Balls. After that, I headed to Route 22 and wanted to catch a Mankey, but I encountered a little Rattata, caught it and named it Sarah. I grinded Scott to lvl 10 and battled Gary. In fear of a critical hit, I had to use one Potion, besides that, Gary was easy. Encountered another Rattata on Route 2, caught it and named her Palin. In Viridian Forest I encountered a Caterpie, which I caught and named Caroline, but only to realize that it was male (sry pal). Moved on and after a lot of battles I finally got to Pewter City. I restored my Pokemons health, Boxed Sarah, Palin and Caroline and rushed into the 1st Pokemon gym. The first trainer was a breeze and something cool happened after the battle.

Scott has become two times as awesome as before.

Challenged Brock and here's my battle against him:
Spoiler:
Battle against Brock:

Red sent out Scott / Brock sent out Geodude
Scott used Metal Claw / Geodude used Defense Curl
Scott used Metal Claw / Geodude used Defense Curl
