Chapter 1
Vodkin Etchno stared out of the glass stained window in the church. He wore a black jacket and He sat on one of the seats, still staring out it. He could hardly see anything out there, but he was desperate to be entertained. The pastor at the church was just babbling on about some religious belief being crushed by Satan, and that didn't interest Vodkin.
A bunch of people began getting up, and he got up as well. They got out of the seats and walked out, and Vodkin followed behind. He sighed as he walked out the revolving doors, and he stuffed his hands in his pockets. He let out a sigh, and walked along the side of the dirt road, watching cars pass by him.
He didn't know what was coming. He looked down at the ground just for a mere second, and then...bam! Someone ran into him. He looked up, to see a young vixen. She had on a blue scooter helmet and wore a black jacket with jeans. She had red hair, and wore quite a bit of makeup, mainly around her eyes and cheeks. She grinned, holding her hand out to help Vodkin up.
Vodkin got up and the young vixen smiled faintly. She had blue eyes and sighed, brushing her hair off her shoulders.
"I'm Rose." She said it in a simple voice, as if she wasn't eager at all to find out what Vodkin's name was or anything about him. It was as if she wantd him to find out more about her.
Vodkin didn't smile at all. He popped his bubblegum and grinned. "I'm Vodkin." He sighed. "But why would you care about that?" Rose grinned yet again, laughing.
"You're right," she said, "I don't care. In fact, I could care less; but seeing as I knocked you over with my scooter, it's kind of my own fault." She then turned away, and got on her scooter. She revved it up.
"Well, come on, pretty boy," she said in a sweet voice, "let's go for a ride." Vodkin grinned, and got onto it, holding onto Rose's waist. She began riding off somewhere. Vodkin had a strange feeling this was a bad thing, as if he wasn't supposed to this. As if...it wasn't destined to be.
