Ahoy! I just want to ask if it matters where one places the objects in the safari 'mini maps'? I know about all the rest from serebii dot net.
And, my original Cubone had a thick club as item which enhanced his moves, and like an id*ot I used the move fling once, assumed for some reason that it'd come back. My second question is, why dont any of the Cubones/Marowaks I capture at the safari have the item anymore?

I do not believe it matters as long as it is/they are within the correct area.

Also with Cubone and Thick Club, they only have a 5% chance of having that item in the wild, so it's a matter of luck.
