I cant account for B/W but I really dont like Johto, not for any particular reason I just dont. To me Sinnoh always seemed just, "there" not really anyhting worth mentioning, plus its lack of Fire Types in D/P yet having Flint as the third E4 member just docks is points right there

I hate to point this out, but the title really should have had a Question Mark on the end. Anyway, onto the main point.

Many people complain about Sinnoh, although it is by far my favourite region out of the four I have played, since I have yet to test Unova/Isshu. For now, I have to say that Kanto is my least favourite. Just as Para-Dox said, it does become rather repetative due to the fact you spend most of the time wandering around in circles. Still, I do love the region, but it remains my least favourite. On another note, Kanto severely lacks unique qualities when it comes to Grass-types, which happen to be one of my favourite. Most of them are Grass/Poison type with almost all of the same attacks, with the minor blips being Exeggutor and Tangela, the later having little power in main combat due to its somewhat low stats.

For me, it was Hoenn. After the excitement of the two regions before it, Hoenn just seemed bland to me. This was also the time IVs, EVs, and Abilities started up. At the time, I didn't know how to use these, so that also stemmed a little annoyance and dislike towards Hoenn.

My least favorite is Hoenn. It's has the least amount of pokemon I like and I find the color scheme boring and bland.

I can't believe people don't like Sinnoh! It's my favorite other than Kanto which is strictly from nostalgia.

In game, I like them all but in anime it would be Sinnoh. It had too many fillers and they weren't as entertaining as the ones in Johto.

My least favorite region has to be Hoenn. It was just...boring. I did like some things about it though, like the desert with the constant sandstorm. Well, it annoyed me to go in there, but it was a nice change from the previous games. Also I did like the different weather patterns, and the puddles on the ground with the clouds reflected in them, the falling ashes and the cool volcano....okaay, I just realized that aesthetically, Hoenn improved MAJORLY from the previous gens. I guess my least fave ISN'T Hoenn then!

I'm sorry to say this...but the most boring region was Kanto, and I've always loved first gen the most! I feel like a traitor!

I. Am. Awesome.

Mine would be Hoenn.
It has a lot of variety, yeah, but... I just really disliked the way it looked, and the fact that it seemed to take forever to actually get anywhere.
Plus, all that Surfing? No thanks. I can only run into a Pelipper so many times before I want to stop playing. I'll stick with the other regions. :3

Seriously guys, you've all lost the plot. You shouldn't be comparing anime fillers - the title says region, not series. And really, pokémon shouldn't really be too based on an opinion of the region, I think it has much more to do with locations, etc... If anything, Sinnoh had the best locations etc...

Anyway, after much consideration i'm going to go with Johto, I found most of the areas pretty bland, the only parts I liked were whirl islands and the Bell tower - only because they looked much better in the remakes, with all the effects n' such.
There was nothing. Followed by everything. Swirling, burning specks of creation that circled life-giving suns. And then we reached to the light.

I liked Hoenn in the anime but when it was introduced in Ruby and Sapphire it was awful and extremely boring. They took away the Day/Night system and the Pokegear which made it even worse. Playing Ruby and Sapphire almost made me give up on Pokemon all together but I guess Emerald made up for that a little. I'm sure I'll like Hoenn in the remakes when they bring back day and night and all the other features introduced in generations 4 & 5 so my opinion is only temporary.

I expected alot of people to say Hoenn, the only reason people dislike Hoenn is because it wasn't up to their expectations after G/S but really, if you look back on it Hoenn was a good region and R/S/E had a really good storyline with good Pokémon, decent graphics and nice features, and It should get a remake to show people how good Hoenn actually was, but anyway my favourite, obviously is Hoenn.. my least... I would say Kanto, it's just not as appealing as the other four.

My least favorite is hoenn. The games made no sense for example to get the three regis: "Make sure you have max repels for on the way to the area. The Sealed Chamber is a cave located beside Pacifidlog Town in the Route 134 ocean current. It is in a space of calm water there with a dark spot to Dive go where the inscription is and press B say yes and go to the end and use dig go to the end of that tunnel and read the inscription. Put relicanth last in your party and wailord first then, go back and read the inscription again and there will be an earthquake. If this doesn't work go and switch relicanth to first and wailord to last and there should be an earthquake. Then a box tells you it sounds like doors opening far away. Remember to save before each fight!" - From wikihow

It's tough, because honestly I really like them all.

However I'd have to say Sinnoh. I don't really dislike it...so don't expect me to thrash talk it. However it's probably the least exciting for me and least interesting to explore for some reason.

I'd rank the regions:

1. Hoenn (The Hoenn region just seems so fresh and new, from the beach town of Slateport to the treetop houses of Fortree city. Run through soot covered grass or look at your own reflection in a puddle (the first game to have that feature) I loved how the region overall had a very seaside feeling (all that water helped :p) It just seemed so bright and energetic. A big change from the previous region of Johto)

2. Johto (The region seemed very ethnic and mysterious, which I really enjoyed. It seemed to have the richest culture of all the regions)

3. Kanto (Kanto, the region that started all was quite simple...in the sense that it's style doesn't seem as obvious to me as the style of Hoenn and Johto.)

4. Sinnoh (Similar to Kanto I don't see an obvious direction for Sinnoh...although I suppose you could say it focuses very much on dramatic legends and tales rather than just ethnic culture like Johto.)

Hoenn and Johto for me have the strongest identities as regions.

Not ranking Unova since I haven't played it..

I found Sinnoh to be the least exciting out of all the regions. None of the towns or cities really wowed me except for Canalave and Snowpoint. I think it's safe to say though that the fact that Snowpoint actually had snow is what impressed me so much. The region was an all around bore and I remember once getting to Pastoria City feeling really disappointed in the region all around. :(

Second least favorite would be Johto. Once I get passed Goldenrod I'm horribly bored. Third is Kanto since once I get to Fuchsia City the boredom starts to roll in and last is Hoenn. Which in this case last is good! There was never a point in Hoenn where I found myself dying of boredom.

As for the anime I only really saw a little past Johto. Between Kanto and Johto I found Kanto to be more appealing. Although I don't really remember why. D:
