Ever had said that when you defeated/were defeated by a Trainer/Gym Leader/Elite Four/Contest etc.?

I always found it hilarious that I can beat Whitney with no problem in G/S/C, but HG/SS comes along and I'm using X Attacks and X Defends, Embargo and everything else just to beat her.

Skyla. Why are you a gym leader? I OHKO'd her whole team in both Black and White. I expected better of the fan service gym leader.

That's what I think every single time I am killed due to a critical hit. It is frustrating when I have planned everything out, just to be defeated by a random coin toss.

Just beat Clay in White... and he was ridiculously easy to beat. I don't think he even landed one hit on me xD

Seriously? I would expect someone with a fancy title such as 'Gym Leader' to pose somewhat of a challenge.

I never really had a problem with the Gym Leaders in White.
I lost to Lenora first time, but then I beat her easily second try. Burgh and Skyla was ridiculously easy.
Elite Four weren't too hard...N...Ghetsis' was pretty difficult because of Hydreigon, but it eventually fainted, leaving me to easily take out the rest of his Pokemon.
Yet I almost always lose on Random Battle D:

Interestingly, I found the opposite with Whitney. It took me forever to beat her in GSC, but I wiped the floor with her in HGSS.

I found the last three Unova Gym Leaders incredibly easy. I was especially surprised by Drayden. I thought he'd be so hard to beat, being a Dragon Trainer, but I used my Unfezant and Gothitelle and smashed him into the ground.

When I got fliched haxed 8 times in a row by a Kingler, then several other times I have got flinch hax by Stomp on several different pokes at least 4 consecutive times. As far as gym leaders and Elite 4, I am usually over level and grind a lot so they aren't a major concern.

she was hard but not too hard which is perfect
but the real joke is that team plasm is soooo easy!
if they are suppose to be the bad guys they could have stronger pokemon at the least!
I always think this. If I was a leader of a bad group like that, I would assign 10-20 people solely to level Pokemon. If that was all they did, they could get a good amount of Pokemon to 60 in a short amount of time, then I would equip every Grunt with level 60 at least Pokemon.

Speaking of which, they already break the rules by double battling in previous games, why not have more than 6 Pokemon? Give every Grunt 10 level 30 Pokemon, wear out the trainers.

"Champion" Wallace in Emerald.

"[Insert Pokemon here] used Thunderbolt!" x6.

...OK, maybe times four, because of stupid Whiscash's Ground-type's immunity to Electric-type attacks. And electricity only deals neutral damage to the part Grass-type Ludicolo. But honestly, just a few Thunderbolts or Thunders, and the majority of his team is gone. At least Steven Stone posed a challenge. Strangely, it seems that Wallace was much better when he was a Gym Leader...

Also, Elite Four Drake might be considered this once the player catches Rayquaza. I mean:

"Rayquaza used Outrage!" x6

...and Drake is pretty much done for, considering Rayquaza comes as a stationary legendary at Level 70. Still, without Rayquaza, Drake poses quite the challenge, and his Dragon-type team is a powerful, terrible force to be reckoned with. >_>

Also, I learned that technically, if you manage to catch a Sableye in Granite Cave prior to challenging Brawly, he is easy pickings, as none of his Pokemon can even land one hit on Sableye with their flurry of Fighting-type attacks. :cer_laugh:

Although I understand that Gym Leaders are basically trained to lose I only have ever had trouble with Sabrina, Claire, Norman and to a lesser degree the Cilan's trio. The rest just get swept by their type weakness, it's quite sad. That's why I enjoy Nuzlocke Challenges so much, you can't guarantee an easy ride against a gym leader.

Um, I've never lost or had any trouble with any Black/White in game trainers (NPC). The only one that made me sweat was Elsa, and this was only because I had no pokemon with an advantage over her electric poke's, or any that did normal damage actually, other than that

As for the other Gens, the only problems I had where when they landed a critical hit at a decisive moment, last pokemon or something, I remember when Giovanni landed a Fissure on 3 of my pokemon in a row, that my friends is a joke.
Say hello to the best looking grass pokemon there will ever be.

The whole Unova Pokemon league. Which means the Gymleaders + E4.

I mean, seriously? I was even under-levelled when I challenged them! Even the Elite Four!

The only real challenge I has was with Elesa. No, not because of her Zebstrika, but because of her Emolga. Zebstrika went down before I even knew that she sent it out.

I say much worse things when beaten by Gym Leaders lol :P But they're high-ranking trainers, so you'd expect it lol. More often than not if I beat them too easily, THEN I'm like "Is this some kind of joke?!" I like winning but hey I also like a challenge lol.

The thing that REALLY frustrates me is if I'm just dandering along, training the team, and then - oh look there's a random trainer, I'll crush them for some EXP points and then BAM! they end up crushing you :(

Like Syd said, Skyla. She was really easy for me, and I was disappointed because I hoped for more of a challenge from her. She's my favorite Unova leader.

What peeves me off isn't when I lose a battle, though admittedly that makes me wanna scream.

What peeves me off about B/W is the ridiculous encounter rates. Just yesterday I was strolling around in the grass with a Max Repel on. The repel finally wore off, I moved ONE UNIT and I hit an encounter. This has also happened frequently when I'm in a wild area and I'm wearing no repel. Step *Wild pokemon* Run, step *Wild pokemon*. GRRRRRRR *throws DSi*

This is especially annoying when you're simply not trying to encounter any pokemon...you're just exploring the map and looking for specific items, and such.

Oh, and don't even get me started on hax in gen 5. It's terrible. Very very terrible. I want to murder whatever person/object wrote that code, because I think the gen 5 RNG is broken or time based with too long a delay between new numbers, which is crappy.

It's pretty pathetic when your level 100 pokemon gets Paralyzed+haxed and summarily eaten alive by the opponent pokemon which is merely level 65! :/

The later NPCs are a teense overpowered I think. I can understand the difficulty being this high in the Battle Subway or something like that...but map NPCs in general should not be given that level of AI. :/

I hear you. I don't remember going out to buy 20 Max Repels at a time in Diamond, or any other generation for that matter. And my Haxorus is the first in my party, so I need to see that he "broke the mold" before I can run away.
