WALL OF TEXT!!! man my hands hurt.
That was Unexpected.
Neptune struggled as he was pinned onto the icy ground, his father’s claws pressing his neck downwards with the force of an anvil, and Neptune wasn’t strong enough to face his own father one on one. His father had figured that out too, judging by his sinister smirk on his Empoleon face. Neptune looked at Triton, his eyes full of fear and confusion. His father didn’t look like someone that could do something this evil. In fact, his father looked rather friendly.
Looks can be deceiving. Neptune reminded himself and he scowled at his father, trying to wriggle away from his claws. It was no use. If Silver wasn’t there to save him, he would had died by now. An Absol leaped out of nowhere and started to claw Neptune’s father. Neptune watched, hoping to see some damage done, but there were none. Silver must be holding back. He didn’t want to hurt Neptune in the process. Triton’s grip loosened for a few seconds, but it wasn’t loose enough for Neptune to break free of his grasp. The grip meant something else though. He was changing his target. Gulping, he shot a glance at Silver and tried to warn him, but the strangling and the pinning had made him speechless.
“Pathetic.” Triton growled and whacked the Absol away, sending him flying to who knows where, and Neptune felt uncomfortable in the inside. If Silver continued to help, he might die. The last thing Neptune wanted was to make another Alpha Alliance member die because of him, and he wasn’t going to let that happen. Neptune’s voice was dry and weak, but he spoke anyway. Glancing at Silver without turning his head, he coughed.
“R-Run Silver. Help the others. This is a father and s-son b-battle......” Neptune stammered as Triton turned back to him and used even more force onto his neck. For a few seconds, no air had went through his bronchi and trachea, and it was going to stay that way, if Neptune hadn’t yanked Triton from below with his knee, temporarily disabling his father. When Triton loosened his grip, Neptune slid on the ice, sliding between his father’s legs, tripping him with one of his arms before getting up from behind, his breathing a little unstable as he did.
Triton did trip, but when he did, he spun around and got up even faster than he had fallen. Before Neptune could react or poise an attack, Triton turned and did a roundhouse kick, kicking Neptune on the chin, nearly cracking his neck. The neck didn’t crack, but Neptune’s eyes widened as blood shot out of his mouth. How could an Empoleon leg contain so much power? It was abnormal. His yank was as strong as a hitmonlee’s, even stronger. Triton didn’t see his suspicious eyes, and with his palm, he blasted Neptune away from him with a strong water pulse. Stumbling back for a few meters, Neptune balanced himself and charged towards his own father. Surprised, Triton placed his hands before himself, ready to block his son’s attack. Neptune, however, saw that coming, and with one strong hydro pump aiming at the ground, he propelled himself into the sky like a rocket leaving the ground with its thrusters.
Right above his own father, Neptune did an aerial somersault and landed behind him. With one quick turn, his claws glowed and slashed Triton horizontally, leaving a large three-line scratch mark along his waist. Scowling in pain, Triton unleashed a flurry of attacks before him, his claws curling into fists, attacking with fast strong punches. Neptune was able to block his attacks with his own at first, but then he looked into Triton’s eyes. They were yellow. Yellow? And they were glowing. Something wrong was going on.
When thinking, Neptune’s guards had been lowered, and Triton saw his chance. Extending his claws like a Wolverine extending his claws from his body, Triton lunged, his claws stabbing right into Neptune’s stomach position. Neptune’s eyes widened in horror as pain channelled through his body. The pain was too strong and too painful for words, but Neptune knew he had to stand strong. He had to fight his father no matter how sad or heartbroken he had to be. When Triton pulled his claw back to himself, his claw was full of blood, Neptune’s blood. Neptune’s vision blurred for a few seconds, but he didn’t give up. Placing his claw onto his wounds, he tried healing it with his own power. And it was working. The wounds were starting to close with the help of ice beam.
Triton looked surprised. But he looked even more surprised when Neptune smirked, pointing his finger at his father with a confident snicker on his face. Neptune prodded his father’s body, and unleashed a strong current of ice power through his claws. A layer of ice expanded on Triton’s body, starting from the point where Neptune had touched him. The layer of ice continued to grow, spreading like water in a bath tub, reaching his legs as well as his head. Triton screamed, trying to break the ice with his own claws, but he couldn’t do it in time. The ice had reached his head, and Triton stopped moving. He was trapped in a block of ice. Frozen.
Finish the job, Neptune. Finish him. Break the ice into pieces. That’ll kill him.
A voice rang from deep inside of him, urging him to kill his own father. Neptune looked at Triton, which was stuck inside the ice, his yellow eyes still starting at him, never letting go. He couldn’t. He couldn’t kill his own father. He had once swore to the Alpha Alliance that he wouldn’t kill his own family or relatives. Killing him was just...wrong. Shaking his head, Neptune sighed. “I can’t. I just can’t.” Then he looked at the block of ice, “Maybe he can just stay there. He won’t die in the ice. Yeah. Goodbye father.”
Neptune turned and started walking away. Nothing happened. The battle was over. Or was it. When Neptune turned to see his father one last time before going back to the town, Triton glowed, right inside of the ice, the ice block shaking violently like a washing machine gone mad. With one strong, mad cry from his father, the block exploded ever so violently, shaking the land around him. The explosion created a large wind current, pushing Neptune onto the ground with one sudden burst of power. The battle was far from over. Triton stepped out, his whole body glowing yellow and blue, his eyes were even more yellowish and golden than they had been. The glowing was really familiar, but Neptune couldn’t figure what it was...
“FOOL!” Triton boomed as he twirled his hands, a large trident like Poseidon’s appearing in his right hand. Neptune was still startled from the blast, and was on the ground, confused and dizzy. Triton raised his trident and brought it down, hitting Neptune with the other end (without the spikes). The strike wasn’t one ordinary strike. When Triton’s Trident landed onto Neptune’s body, the pain was unbearable. Neptune felt like he had been hit by a thousand needles, a thousand of thunderbolts, a thousand of stings. His feet were weak and wobbly, and he realized that he was panting for breath. The Trident wasn’t just dealing physical damage. It was doing mental damage, it was draining Neptune’s power, making him strong.
The Triton turned his Trident, the spikes facing him now, and Neptune didn’t want to know what they could do. If the blunt side of the trident could do so much damage, the sharp side would...he didn’t want to know. Triton lunged his weapon forward, and Neptune rolled to one side, dodging the thrust. In that millisecond, Neptune was in thought. If Triton could pull back, he was going to strike again, and he might not be that lucky. Reaching for the Trident, Neptune pulled it back to himself, snatching the Trident as he jumped back, getting up to his feet. The weapon of Power was with him now. He had nothing to fear-
“End these childish games!!” Triton shouted, his body glowing in power, “FEEL THE POWER OF MY CHAOS FORM!”
Chaos Form. That’s it. My dad’s corrupted and i can’t do anything about it...
Triton spread his arms and currents of wind started surrounding his body, with Triton being the center of the circle. A tornado was formed in the next few seconds, the diameter six meters across, and unfortunately, Neptune was right in the middle of it. A strong gust of wind lifted Neptune upwards, and Neptune couldn’t claw onto the ice quick enough. Triton laughed manically, and Neptune couldn’t see the ‘father’ inside of him anymore. The twister was slowly turning into a water tornado, and Neptune couldn’t breathe as he was flung around and around at high speeds.
I can’t die now. I can’t die now!!
Neptune closed his eyes and focused. There was no way to stop the tornado. The water currents were too quick and they would break the Ice Beam before it could freeze. Looking at his right hand, Triton’s golden Trident was still with him glowing dimly in the swirling waters. Then Neptune had an idea. The eye of the storm is the weakest and the most silent, peaceful area of the storm, and Triton was standing right there, controlling the water tornado around him, the water walls at least twenty meters high. There was his chance.
With one strong yank, Neptune yanked himself out of the water tornado, and found himself at the eye of the storm, ten meters above of his father. Holding the trident, he turned to the blunt side, and let himself fall right on top of Triton, his trident pointing straight at his head from above. Before the impact, Neptune closed his eyes....
When Neptune’s eyes opened once again, he sat up instantly, glancing around nervously. How long had he been out? Then he began to worry. It was too quiet in the ice land. No battling sounds. No sounds of running watter. No anything. Standing up, weaponless, he scanned the ice lands. Where was his father? Then suddenly his mind was full of images. Scenes, his battle with his own father. Neptune raising his trident, falling towards his father from above like diving...the large blast of blinding light...
The Order forced me to be in Chaos Form...and now...i can finally be free...you have learned and improved a lot, Neptune...Thank you for freeing me...thank you for releasing me from the Chaos form...thank you Son...f-farewell...
A familiar voice filled the air, and Neptune’s heart missed a beat. Did he...he did. He had killed his father, Triton. He had released him from the chaos form, but he was dead. Because of him. Neptune thought about the Alpha Alliance oath, how he had sworn not to kill his relatives and friends. He had failed. Kneeling onto the ground, crying, he let his emotions take over. Her mother had been dead when he was two, and now, his only family, had died because of him. Neptune. His sobbing echoed across the land, but he didn’t care. Tears of sadness rolled down his cheeks, his feet and arms trembling. Why...why did he do it.
“WHY?!” Neptune screamed, pounding the ground below him, the ice cracking, but he didn’t care. Suddenly, he noticed an object, and item, on the ice, not far away from him. Walking to the item gingerly, he picked it up. His father’s trident. It was golden in color, and it had a T below the Trident part, glowing in blue. When Neptune picked it up, thoughts and feelings channelled through his body. His father’s thoughts. The Neptune saw everything. How Triton was threatened to leave, how Triton was forced to be in Chaos Form, to fight his own son. To die in his own son’s hands...
“GAH!” Neptune cried, throwing the Trident away. It was too much. And it was a murder weapon. He had used it to kill his father. But the Trident glowed once again, as if it was urging him to pick it up. Slowly, Neptune picked it up once again, and his body was filled with warmth and power. A strange feeling. He had no idea what. But he did know one thing. The Gold Tribe needed him. Turning and looking at Cape City, Neptune took a deep breath. Vibrations could be felt under the ground. A battle was happening underground, and he was needed. Looking at the golden trident in his hands, he held it tight. It was the only thing he had to remind him of his father.
Neptune’s walking slowly turned into running as he headed towards Cape City. Underground...Underground...When Neptune had arrived, he stood there quietly, his ears trying to pick up as much as possible. He listened. The vibrations underground were stronger at the left, and Neptune ran towards that location, his ears acting as a gold finder. When the vibrations were strong enough, Neptune started digging. Digging into the mud and rocks, his claws started to tire as well as his arms, but he continued. Soon, shouts and cries could be heard, and he was getting close. Suddenly there wasn’t anymore land to dig, and he fell into a tunnel. Looking around, he couldn’t believe his luck. Kaiser was there.
“Kaiser!” Neptune smiled, the first time in the past few hours, glad to see his buddy here, then when he turned to see who he was facing, his face darkened, “Lex.”
Holding the Trident tight with his right arm, he poised for an attack, his trident holding horizontally in front of him, glowing brightly with power. I’m fighting for you father. And i'm going defeat the Order of the Neoverse with your Trident. For Poseida!
Neptune pulled back his trident, and as if he was stabbing someone at front of him, he jabbed forward, thrusting the air in front of him. The thrust generated a large wind current, sending the enemy Pokemon tumbling backwards for a meter or two, startling them. For Poseida. For you, father.
