The Offensive/Defensive Swap Challenge.

Introduction

The Offensive/Defensive Swap Challenge is a simple challenge, but it can be difficult. The gist of it is to pick a team of Pokemon that you wish to have, then depending on what they are best at, adjust, or swap how you use them. For example, say I have a Machamp. Obviously, a Machamp is best at attacking, or using it's offense. So, I would try to make my Machamp more of a defensive Pokemon. I could do this by teaching it Toxic, Light Screen, etc. If you pick a defensive Pokemon, vice versa. Since this question has been brought up, yes, your defensive pokemon may have attacking moves.
If you pick a Pokemon which you think is equally good in both aspects, use your common sense. What is it better at doing more often? Does it learn offensive or defensive moves more?
After you decide on a team, you play through a game of your choosing. I will describe the rules and regulations for this in the below section.

Rules and Regulations

1.) Trading is permitted, just don't be reasonable with it. It's not really a challenge if you trade over a level 100 Pokemon at the start of the game.
2.) Hacking in a Pokemon is allowed as well, under the same conditions as the previous rule.
3.) As usual, Ultimate challenges are not only allowed; they are also encouraged! :)
4.) No legendaries, otherwise, the challenge would be too easy.
5.) HM slaves are ok, as long as they are not a part of your 'actual team'.
6.) This challenge ends when:
  • RBYG/FRLG: Defeat the E4.
  • GSC/HGSS: Defeat PKMN Trainer Red.
  • RSE: Defeat the E4, or Steven in Emerald.
  • DPPt: Defeat the E4.
  • BW: Defeat Champion Alder.
Any questions? Please don't hesitate to ask!

It sounds fairly complicated...
I'm already on a few challenges as it is
Though I still want to give this one a try
Might not get on it soon...

Game: Silver (yay for second gen games, no yay for having to defeat red lol)
Most pokémon tend to be more offensive than defensive
That might be a problem lol, I might have to trade tons of TM's in
I might actually follow up on the Machamp idea lol
I wanted to use a Machamp like forever
Wondering about what starter to pick...

I hope if you change them to defensive they can still have 1 offensive move at least?

I don't know if I will do this challenge yet, but I have a question.
Say we use a Machamp. If we have the Toxic, Light Screen etc you mentioned, can we have one strong move like Cross chop?

To answer the questions, of course! Like I said you guys, common sense. ;) I fixed the first post to make this more clear for the future.

It tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.
