I will keep them as they are. I will one day finish the Battle frontier/tower in my Pearl and HeartGold. My other ones can always be used for challenges which are always lots of fun.

Gen IV games - Play them as normal, might breed a few pokémon for the pokétransfer.

Gen III games (Emerald and LeafGreen) - Transfer my team and other important pokémon to gen IV.
That way, I can restart emerald and leafgreen without worrying about losing my important pokémon whenever I want to do another playthrough.

A few years ago, I went back and played Blue version again, and it's amazing what hind sight can do to a game. Obviously, there's slightly less fun associated with the lack of discovery and it doesn't feel as new any more, but there are added challenges in trying to complete the game in a different way or simply in rediscovering why you liked the game in the first place. So... play them again, and rekindle your love for them!

Old games are the best, I love playing the likes of Emerald.

Eh, some of them I don't even have anoymore, due to me losing them, but most of the time they just sit in a drawer or something, untouched for a long time. I do have my Ruby version in my old old DS now, since I was doing a solo Shroomish challenge on there. It was actually quite fun, and then I got Black, which I've been playing ever since. :3

I still play with my old games, I currently restarted my pokemon red and pokemon yellow, doing some small challenges on them and playing them late at night when I am bored. And Platinum is busy holding all of my legendaries and shinies until I finally get the chance to trade them to White (cause I'm lazyyy), and I'm doing a nuzlocke+ comic run on HG. So my games still get used. I would be playing my Sapphire and my brother's Emerald too, but they got lost and now that we moved, I'm sure they're probably thrown away or fell down a vent by now.

I would be playing Platinum and SS more often that White at this point (since all I have left to do in white is beat the E4 +Champion, but I lost Platinum and SS. I suppose I do still have Firered and Sapphire though, I'm just feeling a lack of motivation to be playing those.

Most likely, my older games are stored away in some cabinet in my bedroom. On very rare occasion, I might take them out and play them for the nostalgic factor, otherwise they're hidden away collecting dust. I don't think I would ever give away an old game, especially one that has a lot of sentimental value, in terms of the effort I once put into completing the file.

Mine collect dust in a box buried in my closet. While I always have some plans to replay them for some reason, most I can't do that with. I either don't have a way to play them or the internal battery died.

For the DS games, those I tend to lose. But I do have plans to replay through Pearl once I transfer over the Pokemon I want to keep.

I'll come back to my old games fairly frequently. I still have a lot I want to do on my fourth generation games (not to mention the third generation ones and my dying/dead first and second gen games), and I'll come back to them from time to time when I have a couple of hours to spare. From a nostalgia perspective, the games only get better with age, so I certainly have no plans of quitting on them anytime soon.

Still play them, of course. I didn't spend all that money on them for them to rot on my desk. =P On a serious note, I always replay my Pokemon games. Playing Black ALL the time would just get boring. I usually just play one and switch to another when the one starts getting boring.

I would still play them when I am bored, When I finished them I restart my game and finish it again but if I had a shiny pokemon I wouldn't restart or trade my game and I won't even trade my shiny kygore. If I had heartgold, Soulsliver, diamond, pearl or platuim I would not restart them and I would rather do the zoroark event.

I gave both of my GBA's to my 2 nephews (4 and 5) for their birthdays/christmas. Also gave them all of my games.

They love them, and they were just sitting in my room anyway.

Honestly once I get a new gen or even just an updated game, I can't stand to go back and play on those horrible graphics and lack of improvements to the gameplay. Like finally splitting moves into Physical and Special based attacks.
