I haven't come across a thread yet for this fabulous looking movie, so I though why not make one. Super 8 definitely looks very good, just from the trailer. Is anyone else excited to see it, other than me?
    MOVIE INFO BELOW:
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined. I'm really looking forward to it. The movie somehow has a very... magical, and childhood feeling to it? Can't really explain it, but it's almost like nostalgia. Very reminiscent of E.T. and The Iron Giant. I just can't wait to see this, hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

The trailer's definitely driving the E.T. similarities home, and with Spielberg working behind the scenes, that's not terribly surprising. Still, that Abrams hasn't been going around blurting the plot of it all to entertainment organisations shows refreshing restraint and allows a real sense of hype and intrigue to build up. It's one of the few summer films this year that I'm really looking forward to: mainly because I know so little about it, and from what I've seen - and from Abrams' cinematic track record - it looks like it could meet expectations.

Its an E.T./Cloverfield hybrid, and that is pretty much all there is to be said about that. JJ/Steve took the best parts of their own alien movies and mashed them up....but hey...I'm not complaining at all...I think it will be better than both of those movies...

I remember the first preview I saw for this movie was when I went to the movie theaters to go see Iron Man II. There was a train crash and alongside it, a loud banging against the train door. I don't even think they had given the movie's title at the time, but I was like..."Okay?"

Seeing further previews of the movie, I definitely want to see it. Not sure if I'll go to the theaters for this one, but one way or another I'll make sure and see it. It looks pretty good.
