I only take a break if I'm bored or hungry, unless I need to do something important. I haven't ever really needed breaks or wanted them. Once I'm in gaming mode, I'm usually stuck in it and don't even notice the time fly. A few times I have taken breaks for my hands hurting or my eyes feeling strained but that's it. I'm not a break taker I guess. XD
I never used to do it. I'd sit down and marathon PS2 games for hours and hours, especially in the summer. When a new GBA game came out, I'd be hooked for ages. I know it said to take breaks on all the boxes but it was always (and still is) right alongside the text that says you shouldn't play games if you're epileptic. So I figured it just didn't really apply. :P
Now? I still don't take breaks for my health or anything, I just don't have the attention span, haha. I mostly play handhelds and they're so easy to just drop everything on (sliding the power button of the PSP or just closing the DS) that I find myself playing for 5 minutes, shutting the game down, doing something else for a bit, coming back for 5 minutes, etc. Even with other games I'm always pausing and checking twitter or finding something else as a distraction.
I never pay attention to that. I play games most of the day when I'm not at work with only breaks for food then back to playing. I do take breaks every few days when I get a headache and just watch films and read books. But I pretty much always have a game on.
Yeahhh...I tend to ignore those. -.- I could play Pokemon Emerald Version for hours on end and still be alright (from my perspective). The only time the trouble comes is when I'm playing a GBA game or a Wii game and the lights in the surrounding area are dim. Then my eyes feel like they're straining at times.
I multitask while I play games. I absolutely never am just playing my DS and doing nothing else, I'll be playing my DS and eating lunch, or playing and doing homework, and it's the same with console games. I always am half-distracted by something else, so I never have to worry about breaks. Plus it's not like I play 12 hours in a row, I can't play a game for more than 3-4 hours without getting bored anyway.
I'll play games for as long as I like. I've even skipped bathroom breaks and meals, and even missed out on some sleep to game, mostly because I zone out and loose all perspective of time. If I get really pissed or stuck at a part, then I'll put down my handheld or my controller and take a break.
I agree with your second and third statements, though I don't "skip" bathroom breaks that often since I can typically pause. Your sentence, however, reminded me of some article/letter in the gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly where someone went to great lengths by risking the safety of their urinary system for a game. IIRC, that's how devoted the person in question was.
When I play an physically arm-intensive Nintendo Wii game (Wii Sports likely being the most prominent example), then I'll be more inclined to take a rest if my arm starts hurting (most evident during Wii Sports' tennis or Wii Sports' boxing). Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess can also produce arm fatigue as well with all the sword-swinging combat, but I hardly exert as much effort and energy there as I do in Wii Sports. I use the GameCube controller for playing SSB Brawl, so that hardly even counts.
But yeah, I play games until either I'm dozing off too much (VERY important, because when you're not alert during gameplay, you can easily make big mistakes that you won't realize until you're wide awake, like accidentally releasing a Pokemon when you're tinkering with the PC Storage system or dropping a valuable item when you're fiddling with the inventory. RuneScape is the only game where in one instance, enemies KO'd me because of fatigue) or my arms/fingers are nearly physically incapable of continuing due to fatigue. Or because I'm hungry...

I really hate how time flies so fast during videogame playing, yet when you're in school classes, it feels like it literally takes FOREVER to move (i.e., reaching the time of student dismissal/the end of the day so people can go home). It's even worse during school, because breaks and stuff (particularly bathroom breaks) are restricted even more there.
Apart from intense multiplayer sessions on Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. I never play long enough to need breaks. Maybe it's an attention span thing, maybe it's 'cause my eyes hurt after about half an hour of looking and concentrating at a screen... but it never really gets to the point where I have to take a break before continuing.
