    Captain Jack is back!

"Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it too."

What are your thoughts on what has been shown of this film so far and the Pirates of the Caribbean series in general?

When I saw the trailer, I was disappointed that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley weren't in it. It would have been nice if Elizabeth and Will made a comeback in this movie.

Strangely, I have pretty much no desire to see this. As flawed as the whole franchise is as a film series - Curse of the Black Pearl being surprisingly competent, Dead Man's Chest being pretty horrible, and At World's End a crazy mess that somehow manages to stick the landing - I thought it achieved a nice bit of closure in its final moments. Still... this is Disney, and if there's one thing they like more than money, I don't know what it is.

The exodus not only of Bloom and Knightley, but of original director Gore Verbinski (who's most recent film Rango I enjoyed much more than any of the Pirates trilogy) will also mean it really will feel different as well. Obviously, there'll be attempts to keep the tone relatively similar, but don't be surprised if Penelope Cruz and Johnny Depp randomly breakout into song and the scenery changes to an empty stage: that's Rob Marshall's trademark... -_-

I adored the first three movies, I think it's a really good series but I'm not thrilled about Penelope Cruz being in this new one (personal thing, I don't think she's a great actress) but I am happy Keith Richards is back in it.

I love Jack Sparrow, so i'll most likely see this anyway. Especially because these types of movies are best on the big screen.

I'm actually really looking forward to new movie, past three were very good. And Johnny Depp has always been a favorite acting wise. Judging from the trailer I highly doubt it will be a disappointment. Though, I'm kind of surprised they went through with a 4th movie since way back then they said their wouldn't be a 4th one. I saw the 3rd in theaters during the year of 2007 when it first came out. Still, I'm glad that they went through with a forth one since the 3rd left me thinking to be honest. I will definetly be paying for a ticket to get in to see this movie( all Pirates of the Caribbean movies are worth it).

I'd really like to see this movie for one reason:
CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW IS THE BEST PIRATE EVER!!!
(but only when he's played by Johnny Depp, of whom will be Captian Jack! YAY!!!)

The first one was good but the series just kept getting worse from there so I'll watch the fourth one but I won't go see it in theaters.

While I definitely think the plots of the films maybe haven't flourished to the potential they could've, I highly enjoyed the first three films and will definitely be going to see this one in the cinemas. As a series, they are all produced to such an amazing standard technically, even if I thought the plot was getting too weak to see, I'd go purely for the cinematic experience.

I thought the trailer looked great! Promise of comedy and action and drama. Coupled with it being a Pirates of the Caribbean film, I will not be missing this in cinemas!

Well, having followed the Pirates series since the very first one, I'm almost obligated to go see it now hahaha. It looks pretty good. I'm going to have to rewatch the Pirates trilogy before I go see it, to really get the proper cinematic experience.

I don't know who this Penelope Cruz is, but she can't be any worse than Keira Knightly. Okay, she's not that bad, but I get tired of seeing her in movies after 10 minutes. Anyway, I don't think I'll bother seeing this until after it's left the theatres since it doesn't seem as good as the others, but I'll most likely see it eventually since it'll probably still be better than most movies being made at the moment and I'll give anything with Johnny Depp in it a chance.
