Alright I'm gonna start, slowing my UMC down, here. Also instead of on FR I'm doing it on Red and instead of HG its Crystal (Just got them on my newly downloaded VBA :)). First update should be either later tonight (Doubtful) or tomorrow afternoon (after school).
EDIT: Never mind, have already beat Brock.
N.Jr's Diary:
Spoiler:
Day 1:
Today my father, N, said, "Son, I'm sending you on a mission to liberate pokemon. You will start tomorrow in Kanto, but do not give up until you are the champion of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova"
Day 2:
I started out in a quaint village in Kanto called Pallet Town. I noticed there was a pokemon lab, so I went in there to ask the professor (Oak, I believe) to free all his pokemon, but he wasn't there. I decided to move on to a town called Viridian. But, speak of the devil, Oak appeared and dragged me to his lab. I started to ask him to free the pokemon on his table, but instead he said "take one". I had an idea that this pokemon could be a help to liberate the rest. However a rude person called Gary (Oak's grandson) appeared and said he was getting one too. I took Squirtle and I called him Shelly, and he took Bulbasaur. I slept in the lab tonight.
Day 3:
I tried to leave, but Gary stopped me and battled me. Shelly won his first battle and after that we became close friends. We went on to Viridian and got a parcel for Oak there. We found a room in the centre and slept.
Day 4:
We went back to Oak, and delivered his parcel. That's all that happened today.
Day 5:
Busy day today. We went to Viridian and bought pokeballs. Then I met a new friend, Stabber the Spearow. We went into the forest after, but Stabber decided he didn't want to train with me :(. Me being sympathetic to pokemon, I said "OK, I'll release you after the gym". He looked happy. We beat a few Bug Catchers and one of them let us sleep the night with him.
Day 6:
We carried on through the forest and beat the few Bug Catchers in our way. We carried on through to Pewter. There is a gym here. We will challenge it in the morning. Tonight we stay at the Pokecentre.
Day 7:
We challenged the gym, and won with ease. Shelly bubbled his way to victory. Tomorrow we will obtain new friends I hope. The city of Pewter is releasing it's pokemon. Stabber and Shelly look forward to freedom.
The team:
Shelly lv.13 @nothing Field, Gym MVP
Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble
He did everything just about. 'Nuff said.
Stabber lv.6 @nothing Field, Gym LVP
Peck, Growl
He killed a Caterpie and a Weedle. That's it.
Gah, never mind. I'll need to start again. I don't know how to save properly on an emulator apparently.
I clicked "save game" and then the first slot that came up. I can't load it. Probably the wrong place to save. But then, just to make sure, I clicked "save" in the game and in "File". Nothing is there this morning. Any help?
EDIT: Never mind, found out how. I won't be changing much, so for this game can I just keep my first update?
Current challenges: Firered- Soulsilver - Emerald- Platinum - Black 0/8

Thank you for starting bro :P
On VBA, you should use "Save Game" to save, and "Load Game" to load. You can also just ingame save if you want that, but you risk save stating backwards then.

On hold: Ultimate Monotype Challenge: Water: White 2 - 2/8
Hey man, I'm sorry, but this is not the challenge for me :(. I did enjoy some of it, but I ended up in the pokecentre every battle I did (either to release someone, or to heal). I will recommend it to people, but I'm quitting I'm afraid. Actually it might be that emulator's speed button. Its just too hard to resist pressing it and it makes the game boring. Any way to stop it working? 'Cause if I can I'll continue the challenge. If not I dunno what to do.
EDIT: Just realised I could change the speed to another button that I never use :). So I'm back
Question: If you use a pokemon for a gym, could you use it's evolved form for a different gym? (e.g Oddish at Misty, Gloom at Lt. Surge) I don't mean evolve your Oddish into a Gloom, I mean catch a Gloom for the other gym.
EDIT 2: Just beat Misty, so heeeeeerrrrres N.Jr!
N.Jr's Diary:
Spoiler:
Day 1:
I woke up, where I left off, and headed immediately to Mt.Moon. I battled through some trainers, but because the wild pokemon were so low leveled, they just died :(. So I had to use Shelly some more. A camper let me stay the night with him.
Day 2:
Battled my way through the trainers, and got to the pokecentre at Mt.Moon (I may add I skipped some trainers for training for some friends I hope to make in Mt.Moon).
Day 3: I was told by a strange man in black with an R on his top that the safest place in Mt. Moon is the bottom floor. And apparently there was people like him down there. I still felt I needed rest so I rested more.
Day 4:
I entered Mt. Moon today. Without hesitation, I went straight to the bottom floor, and started looking for pokemon. After a while I had two new friends, Moonlite the Clefairy, and Musha the Paras. I approached the man in black to say hi, and he cracked a whip and Rattata's came running, apparently fearing the whip. So mean, so mean. I battled the man and Musha and Moonlite wrecked him. He told me he was part of team Rocket. I rested up a floor with my camping stuff tonight.
Day 5:
Battled loads of team Rocket, and then the rest of the Mt. Moon trainers.
When I finally got out, I realised it was hardly midday. I must have woken up earlier than I thought! Mt. Moon affects watches, said a Lass on the other side of the mountain. So, without hesitation I charged towards Cerulean cape (after a quick stop at the Pokecentre). Gary appeared there. He battled me, and it was close, but surprisingly Musha sealed the deal (Because he's the weaker of the two) with Stun Spore, which he recently learned. I battled through Nugget Bridge and Cerulean cape, healing frequently, and Moonlite getting most training because of the amount of poison types the Youngsters and Lasses have. I met a talking pokemon called Bill, befriended him and beat Misty with him changed him bask to a person using stuff that only my father could explain. He gave me a ticket to a boat filled with trainers. I stayed the night with him.
Day 6:
When I got back to Cerulean, I realised Musha and Moonlite were exhausted, so we had an extra long sleep at the Pokecentre. And, I evolved Moonlite!
Day 7:
We challenged the gym today, and it was a close shave. Because Musha almost died to Staryu's critical hit Tackles, but won in the end. Moonlite then destroyed Starmie in two Mega Punches.
I'm sorry, I've failed, the challenge is too hard for me, me being not great at challenges yet. So sooooorrry. It was fun while it lasted. When I'm better at challenges, I'll give this another shot. But for now, goodbye...
