Alright, so I'm going to be battling my good friend next month, and I'm planning to level all my Pokemon up to level 80 or better. I just need help with good movesets and what not to take down his Pokemon. Here is my team so far:

Blastoise
Surf
Skull Bash
Ice Beam
Flash Cannon

Salamence
Brick Break (planning to get rid of)
Crunch
Fly
Dragon Pulse (going to replace with dragon claw)

Gengar
Hypnosis
Thunderbolt
Dark Pulse
Shadow Ball

Arcanine
Thunder Fang
Extremespeed
Flamethrower
Rock Smash (definitely getting rid of, need suggestion)

Garchomp
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Crunch
Dragon Rush

Lucario
Extremespeed
Aura Sphere
Brick Break
Swords Dance

***I'm thinking about replacing my Salamence with a Togekiss, since I have Garchomp already. I could give Togekiss Psychic if I did. Let me know your opinion on this idea***

Any help is appreciated :)

your team is pretty much all over the place. You need a good team like ou, nu, and UU. You can you use those pokemon to create a new team. Also battling on the wifi is tough. You need to ev train your pokemon. Here I'll give you a link: http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/ev.shtml and also add a pokerus during your training and it will double it up. for example if you have 1 ev it becomes 2. Also add a expshare on your training. Don't worry about the leveling up the pokemon. The battle room will do it for you when you click on Single or double battle of a level of 50 and a 100. So click 100. Well anyways I taught you everything about ev training. oh also nature counts too. Different nature will give you different boost in stats. Check out this site too: http://www.serebii.net/games/natures.shtml . Also the pyshical and special moves are all over the place. You need to focus on one topic. Like for example.:amphrose is good in SPA. so you need special attack moves like discharge, signal beam, focus blast and hidden power. So i would ev train in Spa 252, spe 252. oh and the nature is modest. Because in modest it boost the stats in Special attack and lowers Attack power. The one with the orange explision is the physical attack and the one with the purple circle is the special attack. Now that I pretty much covers everything you have to learn them.
4th gen Heart gold: 0776-1220- 4403 (use for battling)

5th gen white: 3954 7616 0505 (WOOT!) Please teach me how to clone in white. Its a lot complicated than hg.

Sorry but I'm a bit doubtful about some suggestions.
Blastoise
Surf
Skull Bash
Ice Beam
Hydro Pumo/Cannon

It has got Surf already, aren't Hydro Pump/Cannon quite redundant? Flash Cannon is good for type coverage (or any other moves as I've heard that Steel is not good at attacking). Surf if Blastoise has got sufficiently high SpA and you don't like low accuracy/adverse side effects, and Hydro Pump for power.

Salamence
Brick Break (planning to get rid of)
Crunch
Fly
Dragon Pulse (I actually think you should keep it, or replace with Draco Meteor IF Salamence can learn it? (Think so))
Salamence is slightly better at the Physical side, but it's SpA is not bad too. Unless your Salamence's SpA is too low (due to EV / nature), I personally favour Dragon Pulse. Draco Meteor is OK if you plan to use it only once as your other moves are all Physical. I don't quite like Fly, you risk wasting two turns at a time. Good if you've poisoned / burned your opponent.

Gengar
Hypnosis
Psychic (Or keep Thunderbolt)
Dark Pulse
Shadow Ball

Thunderbolt works well on Gengar. Hypnosis is risky. Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball share similar type coverage, but keeping both is OK.

Arcanine
Thunder Fang (A good move to erase water type weakness)
Extremespeed
Flamethrower
Flare Blitz/Fire Blast (Fire blast if you don't like recoiling moves)
The reason for using Flamethrower over Fire Blast is its accuracy and PP. Again, if you want more power then Fire Blast, otherwise Flamethrower. Arcanine's HP is not bad so Flare Blitz is viable, especially with an appropriate item. However both Flamethrower and Flare Blitz are fire-type, so go for more type coverage (I dunno...maybe Crunch?) or set-up moves.

Garchomp
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Crunch
Dragon Pulse/Breath[COLOR=#9932cc]
Don't give it Special moves unless they are very strong. And you have Dragon Claw already, which makes Dragon Pulse/Breath even less useful. You could make your Garchomp something like Cynthia's instead, haha.

Lucario
Extremespeed
Aura Sphere
Focus Blast
Swords Dance
Focus Blast is quite similar to Aura Sphere (both are Special), so Brick Break is better. And if you go with Swords Dance, I suppose you should try to make the moveset as Physical as possible. Anyway Lucario has a ton of choices, both Physical and Special, such as Psychic, Dragon Pulse and Dark Pulse (yeah, mine focused on the Special side). I couldn't decide when I used one. But that's up to you.

Togekiss has bulk and excels in the Special side. Salamence is powerful and mixed. I'm not against having two dragons, but just if you're afraid of your opponent's Dragons, go with Togekiss (which is weak to ice as well).

I'm not very experienced but I hope I can give you some good suggestions.
Platinum Team

I don't use "uber" Pokemon, I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones. If you use this philosophy, copy & paste this into your signature.

You should first get moves to cover weakness, like with Arcanine and Thunderfang. If your friend is a sexist in pokemon(only uses male/female) have the opposite gender with attract. I can't remember, but I think Garchomp has Firefang, so get rid of Dragon Claw. If you have Hypnosis on Gengar, you could go old-school with Dream-Eater.
On my Lucario, I had Dark Pulse( because it released a horrible Aura) Get rid of Swords Dance. Dark Pulse will help, trust me.

Thanks guys, all good suggestions. I haven't really decided what I'm going to change on my moves yet, but these replies are going to help a lot. But I actually decided to just switch out my Blastoise for a Kingdra. It's only weak to Dragon-types and I felt it could take things out easier than Blastoise, because I like using special moves and Blastoise is more of a physical attacker. Here is my Kingdra's moveset though.

Kingdra: Brave nature. Ability: Sniper
Rain Dance
Dragon Pulse
Ice Beam
Surf

and I did end up putting Togekiss on my team as well.

Togekiss: Lax nature. Ability: Serene Grace
Air Slash
Magical Leaf
Fly (only for in game use, will teach it roost or wish for competitive)
Psychic

I agree with Cronatoes, dump Blastoise and get a Kingdra.
