New movie coming out soon is a remake of a children's classic that was originally a book by Roald Dahl, one of my favourite authors. I remember the original well, and I have interesting hopes for this new remake. Although, I would have preferred Marylin Manson as Willy Wonka instead of Johnny Depp. Anyway, comments etc, what do you guys think?

It's supposed to be Jen and Brad's first movie together now that they started up their own film company (First P Diddy makes a clothing line and it all explodes XD). But Marilyn Manson as Will Wonka... O_O That would be scary... not creepy. Just plain old scary XD

Supposedly, Roald Dahl was very disappointed about the 60/70's (I can't remember... I wasn't even born) version of it. But since he died in 1990, he can't complain about this one XD

Seeing as how it's being directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, my older sister is going nuts about this movie, hehe. The movie does look really interesting, and it appears as if Tim Burton is going to apply his trademark dark tone, from what I saw of Willy Wonka's costume. I'm just curious about how he's going to replicate the Oompa Loompas... That scene was freaky enough in the original, hehe.

Oompa! Oompa! Oompiddie yay!

Signature under construction. Or I might just be saying this because I have no idea how to make one. Let your imagination guide you!... Please? *smiles* ;p

Oh, you don't know the definition of freaky... You should hear my brother and cousin sing the whole song, lol. Trust me -- It's freakier.

Anyway, hmm... I've heard about this movie, but I haven't seen any pictures of it. I'm curious to know what it will be like! Even though Gene Wilder was really good in the first movie, the way he acted kinda gave me the creeps, ehe. O_o; I hope this one won't be as weird and hard to understand.

The weirdness was what made CatCF what it is. I love Dahl because he was unusual, and his stories had a few moral messages mixed in among the craziness. Just like yours truly :-)

All children's stories have moral messages nowadays. Dahl just started the bandwagon rolling.
I think that some magazines say that it'll be coming out in the US in around March-April to coincide with Eastertime. When it'll be shown to the rest of the world... who knows XD

Toothache, you are right 100% his storys may have been bizaar and hyper, but they had reason, morals and made sense. Marylin is the best willy wonka there is, Johny deoo is funny, but he's not the kinda guy that would be able to do such a strict and hyper part-in my opinion
I've left ;_; I might come back to check in on
a few comics, but otherwise i'm pretty much gone.

I like Tim Burton, although I haven't really seen anything of his. But, I know his movies and I know they are great, albeit a little weird.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was already weird, with Tim Burton behine the wheel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is going surpass that ten fold. A dark version, which I'm guessing this will, could be quite interesting.
