This was just something I stumbled upon.

Apparently the American dollar is spiraling downwards and will lose it's status as the globally accepted currency or something.

It also talks about how Americas debt is so outstanding that interest and taxes won't be able to repay it.

It is a bit lengthy, but coming from an Australian to a forum of mainly Americans and English I want to see what you guys think about this. It sparked my interest merely out of curiosity.

The Aussie dollar is very strong at the moment, that's true. But it's not the only reason. I don't know a great deal about it, but the US dollar is low atm.
I just bought a heap of Japanese Yen at a reasonable rate, but then it was a bett rate 3 years ago... So the Aussie dollar isn't necessarily the strongest

There was nothing in that video that I didn't already know about or that I couldn't already find out on my own, although some of those statistics are interesting...

I like how the ending is basically one giant advertisement for his investment firm though. Being the child of a working-class American, I've been conditioned to hate investors with a passion. They're parasites that don't contribute to their economy but take advantage of it when it's healthy. :/

Alex

what will it be next?

It's interesting that you mention America's debt. America's monetary system has essentially allowed them to create money out of nothing with the Federal Reserve Bank, through loans. And because of interest, America essentially will never be able to repay the money it owes because it will always be more than it has.

You should check out the documentary Zeitgeist. One part Religion, one part 9/11 Conspiracy and one part America's Federal Reserve Bank.

Anything that endorses the 9/11 conspiracy crap is not worth watching, regardless of how many neckbeards wet themselves over it.

The value of the American dollar isn't really important. What's important is the general economic situation. Right now, we're recovering from what could have been an economic collapse worse than the Great Depression (by the way, the guys responsible got off with a slap on the wrist, as usual).
