Congratulations! Your Garchomp became a Garmaggedon!

So, would you like third stage evolutions?

(And third stage does not mean something like Charizard, that's first stage. Basic is the first form a Pokemon, first stage is the first evolution, and second stage is the farthest a Pokemon can go. Third stage is suggesting that second stage Pokemon should go farther)

Gotta love that feeling~

That would be..Weird. I mean, having one Pokemon have four different evolution forms? Well, I mean not like the Poli line, or the Ralts line..But having another evolution for Charizard? You know, that might be interesting to see XD. Like Charizard would become a three headed dragon thats just MASSIVE. Quite an interesting notion, I think it would be pretty cool, and it would be also interesting to see what they can come up with.

I'm thinking about it.....
no.
Why? because those evos probably will not have pokemonish look since they have to be bigger or more awesome than its pre evos. Not too mention it will break the metagame since there will be impending stat increase.

I've thought about this a lot - I think it would be epic! Probably wouldn't be fantastic for gaming purposes, beacuse the Pokemon would just be too powerful, but it would be REALLY interesting to see the sorts of things something like Rhyperior would evolve into.

It would be awfull! :[ It would be like This
LOL.

I will definitely, say NO. Because from Gen I to Gen IV, (not sure of Gen V since I had only started on it) there are only 3 stage evolutions. A 4 stage evolution might blow my mind!
Imagine Snorlax for example, growing into a more fatter pokemon.

I'll say yes, just to see what they look like and such. but i think it would be a bit to far if something like Tyranitar got one or Garchomp. If it was something like a Sunkern evolution (i know it only goes to the first stage) where it was a REALLY weak pokemon, it wouldn't make it too powerful so it would be alright.

wait, what? did I miss something here? do you mention my point about breaking the metagames, design, or do you say that Bellossom being a "3rd" evos? Branched evolution is very different than 3rd stage evolution.

No. Just no. They'd be gamebreakers, with stats having to be on par with legends just to be able to outclass their pre-evos. Plus, no second-stage evolutions need evos, it'd feel to arbitrary, like they were adding them to make legends not so special or something.
My team that beat White:

Zekrom, Victini, Vanillish, Eagle, Samurai, and Excadrill
Unfortunately, for the time being, I cannot trade. My DS recently quit on me and I don't have the money to repair/replace it currently
I don't calculate stat values, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones. If you use this philosophy, copy & paste this into your signature (however, I do build competitive movesets and do minimal EV training, just not ignore the Pokemon based on stats ;)).

My answer to this is a resounding NOOOOOO!!! The Pokemon would simply become too uber powerful. Their base stats would end up getting much higher, which means that the cap on max base stats would have to be raised. Also, it would not make sense to make baby Pokemon that already have 3 Pokemon in their chains, as it would be the opposite matter with having lower base stats. They would be so low that the Pokemon would be more or less useless until it evolves.

no, you said that it would have to be bigger than its pre-evo when Bellossom isnt.

damn. My bad then. I probably must rearrange better word and english to express it rightfully.

Well, but even for Bellossom case, and if it got a 3rd stage evos I'm pretty sure it will be much bigger. Or at least, pretty much (over)detailed which is a thing that pokemon should avoid.

I think if serious consideration was put into it then I'd like to see the designs they could come up with, provided it was for a select few pokémon. Realistically though, I'm fine with what we've got - maybe if they'd done it from the beginning it would be a different story :)

The only way this would work is if certain Pokemon evolved as a reward for reaching level 100. Just my opinion. Other than having max level, getting lvl 100 doesn't really get you much else.

I totally disapprove the idea of that. As others have said, third stage evolutions would ruin the mechanics of the game. Besides, they would probably turn out something like Rhyperior (or even worse), which looks over-evolved for a Pokémon in my opinion.
