... from a time that is so long that the narrator got bored and they had to hire a new one...

The pokemon universe in modern day society is unpredictable. It hinder us, it guides us, it questions us, and it can even trouble us. Well, not really "trouble" per se...though it is a beautiful word to say. In the world of Pokemon, pocket monsters, also known as creatures known as pokemon, inhabit this world. People use them for a variety of things: some use them as pets. Some use them for contests. Some use them for battling. But was that the only way to use pokemon? The possibilities are endless. Pokemon remain as our irreplaceable partners, and they help us with a variety of tasks.

You've been recognized as a person with inspiring talents, by a traveling ringmaster from a traveling circus known as the Swing Lows, also known as "The Gang of Weirdos". You've been then working with the traveling circus for a couple of years, traveling to different regions, and performing for a variety of different people. This time, the circus is traveling throughout the Hoenn region, traveling to city to city, performing their individual skills, as well as helping those in need, and meeting a variety of colorful, yet familiar characters along the way . The circus first docked in the harbor in Slateport City, where its aim is to travel to city to city, all the way to the site where the Hoenn League is supposed to take place, also known as Ever Grande City for their grandest stage ever.

However, meanwhile, the so-called beloved ringmaster, plots a shady, sinister plan...

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

How to Play?

- Its basically a comedy roleplay where it is faced paced.

- Though out the roleplay, there will be different "acts" where you, and your partner pokemon, work together to perform your "profession" in the circus. Eg, in a certain city, it'll be "act 1" where a crowd forms.

- Just remember to keep track on the acts you'll perform, as well as the places we visit. Remember that our mission is to travel to Ever Grande City, while maintaing your profession.

- There are also senerios and sidequests from time to time, just to spice things up. =3

- There is no Team Magma or Team Aqua in this RP. Just so you know.

Name: Trisha Kou
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Profession: Lion tamer
Your appearance:
Trisha has a dark and slightly intimidating air about her, especially when she flashes her sneaky smile. Her eyes are big and darkly brown and her hair is completely black. Her skin isn't really dark but she isn't as pale as most others. She is pretty, tall and skinny. For clothes, she often wears leather pants or other dark long pants as well as loose shirts with long sleeves, as well as boots. When performing, she wears leather pants, scarves, sometimes hats, a whip and most often very little on the top of her body, to the men's delight.

Your history: Trisha joined the circus about three years ago, when it was in Sinnoh near Sandgem Town. She wasn't as social or funny as other kids and felt alone. She accidentally ran into a cub Shinx when she was fleeing from some bullies and took care of it in secret until it evolved into Luxio. Her parents were worried about her, but she thought they were dumb. When the circus came to her hometown, Trisha was amazed by everything there. She had actually been playing and practicing some tricks with Luxio and one afternoon when the circus still was there, they was playing outdoors, trying to mimic something Trisha had seen at the show. The ringmaster had suddenly come and seen her, and said that he appreciated her talents and wanted her to come with him. Trisha was slightly scared but felt a new world open up. A chance to leave this gloomy life behind and travel. She said yes, of course. Her parents were heartbroken but it didn't help. Trisha knew this was what she needed to do. And for the next years, she grew from being a shy, dark, lonely teenager girl into a clever, still dark, attractive young woman. She is very loyal to the ringmaster and would probably follow him blindly, at least to begin with, if he should ask anything of her.

Your personality: Owning all of her self-confidence and security nowadays to the circus, Trisha puts it and its members before all. She might seem cold, sarcastic and downright mean at times... and maybe she is. But she would go any length to protect her "family members", the other performers, just because she feels she owns it to them. She has been known to lure guys with her dark attractiveness, but that's all just for fun since she has never been in love or really cared for any other men than the ringmaster and her fellow circus performers. If someone should mention parents, she would laugh coldly and walk away.

Pokemon 1 -
Species: Luxray
Nickname: Samson

Short history: As a cub, he went too far from his pack one day and ran into a devastated Trisha. Being somewhat sensitive about others' feelings, Samson forgot about being lost and tried to cheer her up by playing with her. It worked and since that day he didn't really want to leave her. He evolved into a Luxio after a while and after a few months in the circus he evolved again into an agile and rather large Luxray. They are the closest of friends and even though he can't always understand all the girl's words, he quickly and accurately senses her mood and feelings and usually know what to do to help her if she's angry or sad or confused.

Short personality: He looks like a big, dangerous lion, just as dark as his tamer, but he really is cuddly inside. Often being the only thing to balance Trisha and make sure she doesn't fall over into the world of her own thoughts, he is rather cheerful and kind. When they are in shows, though, he takes on a dark appearance that can scare any kind of audience.

How does it help your profession? Trisha is a lion tamer. When they perform, Samson's job is first to act as dangerous as possible, and Trisha "tames" him, forcing him to obey her. Then he makes tricks. Sometimes it's jumping through hoops of fire, sometimes it's hitting targets with a Thunderbolt or smashing walls of things with Spark. And if Trisha really is feeling like it, maybe if there are a lot of kids in the audience, Samson can to tricks like sitting, lying down, jumping on two feet and such, which usually yields both laughter and applause from the crowd.

RP sample: (you probably recognize this...)
Spoiler:
The moon shone eerily over the calm town of Pallet in the Kanto Kingdom. Gareth leaned out from a window on the second floor. Below him, the sign that said "Skander's Bakery" waved slightly from a nightly gust of wind. He didn't look at it. He didn't really look at the moon either. His eyes were staring out into the distance, wishing they could see further than the dark forest outside of Pallet's fields.

A door behind him opened, and he felt the room become just slightly warmer. Without looking, he said: "Charm,"

"Charm!" a gurgling voice responded. The Charmander waggled up to him and put a hand on his arm. That made his head turn to look at his friend. She was smiling towards him, with big, quiet eyes. As always. He appreciated it much.

"Is dinner ready?" he asked, and received a nod from the pokebeast. "Alright then."

He got up, closed the window and went downstairs, Charm tagging along after him. In the kitchen, his father Reginald was sitting at the table, boasting about his newest affair. The mother Wilma was finishing setting the table. When they saw Gareth enter the room, they quieted down for a second, but Reginald then put on a brave smile. "Fancy some steak, son?" he said.

"Sure," Gareth said, impolitely, and sat down on the opposite side of the table. As gloomy and thoughtful as ever.

Reginald and Wilma exchanged a look, but sat down to eat as well. It wasn't the most fancy dinner, but it was pretty well made. Wilma was just a good a cook as she was a baker. Reginald wasn't too shabby either, and Gareth had some skills... but he hadn't used them for about a year. He couldn't cook when he was unhappy. And he pretty much hadn't been happy for over a year.

Charm sat on her chair by the table as well, careful to not let her burning tail ignite anything. As they ate, silently, Reginald finally started talking again.

"Me and your mother have been thinking," he said. Gareth didn't reply. "About this journey you are going to make."

Gareth didn't look up, but he glanced at Charm, who smiled at his father. "We want you to reconsider. We need your help here, with the bakery and all, and we would be really sorry and feel rather, well, alone if you left us. Especially after Amandor-"

Gareth's fist hit the table hard. "Don't you see? That's why I'm going. I have to find Amandor and bring him back. It's not fair that he just left like that."

"No, but he is a lot older than you. We have understood now that he has probably found another place in the world where he feels he belongs..."

"And why can't I do that? Just because I'm the younger brother, do I have to stay here in Pallet town forever? It's a cute town, father, but it's not a place where a free man can fulfill his dreams."

Wilma gasped and Reginald closed his mouth. Gareth hesitated for a second. Where had those words come from? That's right... Amandor had uttered them, a long time ago. Maybe their father had heard them as well. And Gareth had just reminded him of them. Well... they were true. Two years with no other companion but Charm in Pallet Town had taught him that.

He sighed and sat down; he had gotten up from anger. "I'm sorry, father," he said. "There are many reasons for me to leave." He looked at Charm again, who now looked back. Her smile was unusually faint. She understood, he was sure of that. She wasn't just a beast. She was his friend.

"I want to train. I want to become strong. I know what it takes."

Wilma sighed now, which made the men look at her. "No," she said. "You don't know what it takes. Do you think you are the only one who has ever tried to become a pokebeast trainer?"

Gareth's eyes blinked. What did mother mean?

"Not now, Wilma," Reginald said and patted her hand. "It will only make things worse."

Wilma nodded and smiled. "I do understand him though. To an extent. And I am very happy that he tells us before he leaves." Something dark crept into the kind woman's eyes.

Reginald frowned and looked back at Gareth, who had childishly watched the exchange of words and thoughts between his parents. They had so much history that he didn't know of... he had been to young to bothered asking before, and these past years he hadn't bothered because he was so full of himself. But he shook his head. Nothing could stop him now.

"I've made my decision," he said slowly. "You can't stop me, mother, father. Me and Charm will leave at dawn."

Reginald's large, dark eyes stared intensively into his own dark, purple ones. Wilma's bright, lavender colored eyes looked from one man to the other. After what felt like an eternity, mr Skander nodded. "Very well, then," he said. Then he left the dinner table and went outdoors.

Gareth kept himself together. He wasn't going to get bleedy now. "My boy," Wilma's voice came to him and he felt a hand gently pat his head. "Remember that you are not the most important person in the world. Not even to yourself."

Gareth didn't nod. He didn't really understand. But she was wrong, he knew that. Everyone cared most about themselves. That was the way it was.

Good SU, Rika!

As for my own SU....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name:
Rachel
Fernandez
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Profession: Juggler
Your appearance:
http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSChdMt9IvdCWQrG6MSHW5vUmTMNyYB04lAJizqMscFp_cQ6HI09g
Your history:
Rachel was born in Vermillion City in Kanto, where her mother and father almost lived at Poverty. She was then at the age of 2, abandoned by her mother and father, since her mother and father were so belong the poverty line that they did not have the finances to care for Rachel, so they abandoned Rachel at an orphanage near outside Vermillion. Rachel grew up at that particular orphanage, she was bullied all her childhood by people who say she was "the odd one out". Thus, by the time she was 11, Rachel toughened up in personality; she had a bit of a temper, yet she was also pretty sarcastic. When she was 12, she became adopted by a man known as
Maximillion (Max) Fernandez, the ringmaster of a circus known as The Swing Low. Rachel became fascinated by all the different types of pokemon, the magicians, the acrobatics, and especially the jugglers.
When she was 14, she decided to try and join Max's circus, so she started to practice juggling. However, she thought that it was impossible to juggle more than three plastic balls. All the while, she had become more frustrated every-time she juggled, so she finally decided to give up after a month of trying. That was when Max gave her some advice: "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality". Rachel became somewhat inspired by those words, which encouraged her to try harder. So, Rachel continued practice juggling until she reached the age of 17, where she finally got the hang of it, which she was able to now juggle at least 6 plastic balls. One day while practicing, she noticed a Aipom watching her from afar. The Aipom was a trickster, so it used to tease her by stealing the plastic balls she practice with. Aipom was playing jokes on Rachel for days until it was revealed to Rachel that the Aipom liked to juggle as well. Rachel was uncaring at first, but then she started to play with the Aipom with juggling, so it was a basic two-man juggling show. As she turned her current age, 19, Aipom evolved to Ambipom, and she and Ambipom became the best of friends, and decided to travel with the circus, performing in front of thousands -- millions even.
Your personality: Rachel is a blunt, bold person with a southern accent who is usually the one quick to judge. She was bullied while she was living at the orphanage which caused her to be more judgmental and have a wild temper. She is also surprisingly very sarcastic, especially around Max the ringleader, and her fellow performers. She has a aura about her that spells out that she likes her friends, but in certain moments, she can't stand them if they become too annoying. She also has a deep fascination of the outside world more than anything; which encouraged her to travel the circus, with her deep performance fire. During performances, she is still the hot-headed, sarcastic woman that she is, but she also has a seriousness to her that wants to be perfect when performing.
Your starting pokémon
Pokemon 1 -
Species: Ambipom
Nickname: Raul
Short history:
Raul was once upon a time a Aipom where it lived in a forest near the outskirts of Viridian where the circus once traveled too. While Rachel was practicing to juggle, the Aipom watched her from afar, which then it decided to play tricks on her by stealing the plastic balls Rachel was practicing with. One day when Rachel tracked down the Aipom while it was playing a joke on her, she noticed that Aipom was too starting to juggle. It looked like it had so much fun. Rachel was uncaring though, so she still demanded her plastic balls back, which Aipom decided to eventually throw her the balls it juggled with. That was when Rachel had an idea: she threw the balls back to Aipom as Aipom threw them back, until a juggiling motion was put into place. Rachel and Raul both had so much fun, that Rachel decided to keep Aipom as her partner pokemon. As the years grew by, Aipom matured into a Ambipom, which they today, continued to perform together in the art of juggling.
Short personality: Raul the Ambipom is mischievous, yet shy. When it first meet someone, it tends to creep up behind Rachel and hide. On the other hand, when it warms up to someone, it tends to play a bunch of tricks to them to have a laugh.
How does it help your profession? - Rachel and Ambipom first starts out the performance by juggling individually. Then, as time passes, the number of objects they juggle increases. Then, as time passes some more, they each thrower each other the objects they juggle, until a juggiling motion comes between the two. Sometimes, Ambipom purposely throws the objects too hard, which ends up hitting Rachel square in the face and head, which causes laughter and hilarity.
Ephraim woke up from his long slumber during the middle of the night. He decided that he wanted a drink of water, so he got up from his bed, and approached the kitchen. Luckily, the well was full that night, so getting a drink was easy for him. He yawned as he put down the cup he drank from, and approached back to bed -- only to find Mist sitting on the foot of the window near the kitchen. Ephraim was curious on what she was up to, so he approached her. He saw that Mist was reading from her Pokencyclopedia.
"Mist..." Ephraim said, still half-asleep. "What are you doing awake? I thought you had to go to the market tomorrow. "...I could ask thou the same thing." Mist said as she continued to read, not looking up. "Ah, well...I wasn't sleepy, so I decided to take a drink." Ephraim replied.
Mist continued to read, not looking away from the book. "When you're tired, there's nothing better than a good meal and a long sleep. And if you look at page 990 of 'De Meganium Floris Mysticis', there's a special herb that, once decorticated into a potion will help relax your muscles. Look for the parfina flower, and reduce it into a thick syrup before drinking. Oh, and I hear music helps you sleep," she explained. "If you like, I can hum something for you."
Ephraim smiled. "Thank you," he thanked. "However, I think I'll pass on your offer, delightful though your humming might be."
Ephraim sat on the windowsill next to Mist. "So, what are you doing, Mist?" he asked. "Hm? OH, I was just reading up on the scorpus draious," Mist explained. "Also known as the pokebeast known as Drapion." Ephraim chuckled. "...You haven't changed a bit." he chuckled. Mist finally looked away from the pages she was reading and looked back onto Ephraim. "What do you mean?" she asked curiously. "When we were kids, you spent most of your time sequestered in your room, studying books," Ephraim reminded. "On the rare occasion you went outside, you were paralyzed with fascination."
"Of course!" Mist said. "There are so many fascinating things to be learned from nature! There are a great many books out there, and I have read most of them,of course. But I've found that what is written can differ greatly from how things truly are. Take this chemidal ladius; the Ledyba, for example. I've been reading from 'The Glossary of Ladius Entomology' lately. According to the glossary, their wings fall off once they reach maturity. However, I have just found an adult ledyba whose wings still work perfectly! Exceptions do exist to the rules my books outline. Ephraim...I want to start exploring."
"...And I can see why," Ephraim said with a laugh. "Well, you said you were going to the market tomorrow...is it to prepare for said journey?" "It is." Mist replied as she turned back to read. "I see..." Ephraim said. "Well, good luck tomorrow. I'm going back to bed. You must be tired as well. Take care of yourself,and rest when you can." "I will," Mist explained. "I'll just hum to myself until I fall asleep." "Goodnight then." Ephraim said as he walked back to bed.
Dang. I kinda really wanted to join this.
This is where you say, "maybe we can make an exception." :nervous:
Life on Earth is like a man's shadow; it is something to compare the reality to.
The saying "if life gives you lemons, make lemonade" means to make the best of what you have; but what if you don't enjoy lemonade?
The only way to achieve true bliss is to die; if moms knew this, we'd be short 50% of the female population.
If two electric trains are running on two different planes of reality, and those two planes merge, how would one find out about the other before the crash?
And, in closing, if one squabbles with a true fool, after a while, he will begin to question who the real fool is.
Name: Ariel Hernandez
Gender:
Male
Age:
17
Profession:
Acrobat
Your appearance:
Ariel is a very social guy who seems intimidating at first glance. Her eyes are big and darkly brown and her hair is completely black. He has tanned skin, and as for his stature, he is quite buff, and was first mistaken for a weaker strongman (not too buff, think Taylor Lautner). For clothes, he often wears black jeans with a black shirt, as well as black timberlands. While performing he wears usually a one piece, or a tight shirt and tight pants.
Your history:
Ariel was born in Blackthorn City in Johto, where he was forced to steal for food. His parents could not even bear to look at him for some reason (he was born out of an affair), so he was left at an orphanage near New Bark Town. Still, he was made fun of and bullied out of his food, so he still had to go to the cities and to steal for food and clothing. By the time he was 11, he began looking intimidating, and had become tough, also being quite funny also. When he was 13 he met a man called Maximillion (Max) Fernandez, the ringmaster of a circus known as The Swing Low and the man adopted him. For Max to adopt Ariel, he had to have a talent. Max then saw Ariel steal a bag of oranges, using parkour to get away from the people chasing him.
When he was fourteen, he decided to join his circus. He went inside of the circus and just tried flipping and leaping without any protection. He broke his left leg, and even now still has a small limp. He gained a fear of acrobatics, until he had to use acrobatics to save an Axew, because it was stuck in a high branch of a tree. Eventually, he was back, and was able to do acrobatics, without using protection, but still uses a net. The Axew must have grown attached to him, because the Axew began balancing on its arm and doing flips. Eventually, he did his act with Axew and when Axew evolved into Fraxure, Fraxure would use the sides of its mouth to fling Ariel into the air, and would even do flips with Fraxure. When Fraxure evolved into Haxorus, when Ariel was 17, Ariel decided to travel with the circus, after mending his act a bit.
Your personality:
Ariel is a very social guy, who is called blunt to most, but he believes that he beats around the bush. He was forced to steal when he was younger, so due to that he is a great pickpocket, and he has a generally negative opinion of people, usually treating them coldly, unless he feels the kindness emanating from them. He is a very funny guy but only his friends, and fellow performers know that he is humorous. Ariel is somewhat annoying at times, but he tries to never offend people. He is quite naïve, but he is a genius, he always wants to know more, and thus reads a lot of books. While performing, he has a playful tone about himself, but he also very serious and on the point.
Your starting pokémon
Pokemon 1 -
Species:
Haxorus
Nickname:
Hax
Short history:
Haxorus was once an Axew which stowed away in one of the circus cars, travelling with the circus. One day, Axew, after watching another acrobat jump down from a tightrope onto various banisters and landing unscathed, decided to jump from a tree. Axew then froze up, unable to jump from that high a height. Ariel was forced to go and to use his own form of acrobatics to save the Axew. Eventually, they decided to do acrobatics together, always backing each other up.
Short personality:
While an Axew, Haxorus was very shy, naïve, and timid. But as it grew and evolved, Haxorus became very confident and boisterous. Of course Haxorus is still somewhat shy, but now, Haxorus always can put on a good show. But, no one dares scare Haxorus, because Haxorus will go into a mad rage.
How does it help your profession?
– Primarily, Haxorus will be released from the pokeball on a halfway ledge, then Haxorus will throw Ariel up into the air, when Ariel will then begin flipping and grabbing things to change his direction. Ariel will then flip in the air continuously, as Haxorus will cannonball to the other side flipping at a high speed, and Ariel will land on Haxorus and leap backwards, like he is going to fall, Haxorus will hang onto the platform by its feet, and Ariel will jump on the axe like things on the side of Haxorus’ mouth, and then Haxorus will move up at a high speed, flinging Ariel into the air, Ariel will then flip a few times, and use Haxorus’ tail as a bar, such as to spin around, and then will flip onto Haxorus’ back to end the performance.
The RP Sample will be put up later.
Name:
Oleander Simon
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Profession: Comedy Duo (incorporating her Ditto as a makeup-ed copy of herself; the "joker" of the duo, Oleander being the "straight-man")
Your appearance:
Oleander has flawless skin, which is a light caramel color. Her eyes are milky white, only a distinctive shading of color separating the iris from the eye itself. Her eyelashes are bright and long. Her nose is thin, short and small, set between her eyes with the bridge barely reaching past the bottoms of the eyes. Her lips are thin and small, usually only forming a small smile. Her ears are small, with practically no lobes at all, and she has a high forehead. Her hair is a blindingly platinum blonde, reaching down onto her shoulders in a wavy fashion. Oleander has cheekbones anyone would die for, and her chin is rounded, yet not too rounded, so that it still visibly protrudes.
She has a slight frame, with shoulders close together. Her arms are long and graceful, leading down to similar hands which just reach the middle of her thighs. She is slim, and her legs are a bit long, and are thin. Her knees are, in no way, knobby, rather a little hidden. Oleander's feet are small and quick.
She wears, when not in character, a simple, light-blue t-shirt with short short sleeves (the ones that only cover shoulders), a light-gray wool, hand-knitted hoodie, which has sleeves just a smidgeon too long for her arms, almost covering up her hands. Dark-blue skinny-jeans and tan leather sandals complete the outfit, with her hair tied up in a ponytail and either contacts or a pair of neon-green-framed glasses on her myopic eyes.
When she is in character, though, her outfits could vary widely, from a cowgirl to a pirate to a pop star. Literally--those are her three main characters. A cowgirl with a passion for rodeo, countered by a stupid stepsister, a pirate princess, countered by a ship's boy, and a pop star, countered by a huge fan. But the possibilities are endless, really, what she could be wearing next.
Your history:
Oleander was born in Viridian City, to a teenage mother. She was put up for adoption immediately, and she was picked up immediately by a lovely couple on vacation from Fuschia City.
And, of course, on the plane back, Oleander cried. The whole flight. They got off of the plane at the airport, got some nasty looks, and went home to their son, Blake, and his babysitter, Gabe. Gabe took his ad out of the newspaper as soon as he got paid. Blake was eight, and he was a loner. But this is for Oleander, not Blake. Oleander grew up in a snug little house with a modest life until she was eight, when her father got a promotion and they got a lot more money. They moved into a mansion, but Oleander had already developed her quiet, humble personality, so she wouldn't get spoiled. Blake was living at home, sixteen, and he was always with his best friend, Lionel the Houndoom. Oleander had formed a bond with him, and they were almost as close as he and Blake. Oleander was growing older, and when she was eleven, she went for a walk and met Lilly (see the Pokemon Bio). She brought her home, and to her parents' and Blake's surprise, two girls came through the door when she got home. Oleander and Lilly kept the secret that Lilly was a Ditto, as she could replicate vocal cords, unlike most Ditto. They said Lilly was so ticklish it hurt, as a last resort to avoid the truth.
The two seemed to have a knack for comedy, and so they started an improv group. A few kids from around joined, and they performed at a local park. It got way positive feedback, and they eventually started a club, with the initial members being the leaders. Although, Oleander and Lilly just weren't feeling it anymore. They quit and handed the job to the most senior member other than them, Jeremy Thompson. After that, they picked up a comedy act, where Oleander was the straight-man and Lilly was the joker. Their performances for this act got particularly high ratings, among all of them a certain man: Maximillion "Max" Fernandez. They arranged a meeting with him, and talked to him about why he liked them so much. He said that he ran a circus group, the Swing Lows, and when Oleander heard the word "circus" she freaked out. She had always loved circuses, and seemed to be psychic as she asked if they could join. Max, of course, the reason he came being to ask them to join, said yes, although he said they'd need a parent's consent. Lilly was frightened, as she was "the family friend", but very like the second daughter, and so Oleander and Lilly let Max in on the secret. He didn't seem surprised in the slightest, and so they arranged to ask Oleander's parents on her thirteenth birthday, two months away.
She was her own entertainment, and she and Lilly had a great outcome. Half of the guests Oleander didn't even know; they'd sneaked in to see her and Lilly perform. Max was in the crowd, and as soon as the show was over Lilly pulled Oleander's mom and dad, Blake, and, with some effort, Lionel, onto the stage to hear the news. Oleander's mom and dad were proud, and Blake just cried. Lionel seemed very affectionate, and blew a small flame in honor of their achievement. They packed that night, and early in the morning, they left, saying their goodbyes and heading off.
Your personality:
Oleander is a reserved girl, but is not afraid to speak up or talk. She just likes to keep to herself. She's very humble and would give not to get, but to give. She is very hospitable and warm-hearted,
and can easily read emotions on a person's face. She loves the outdoors and likes to play basketball and soccer (football, as her parents sometimes called it.) She is good with Pokemon and is very patient and temperate. She can speak her mind well, and loves to read and write. Oleander prefers not to talk, but she can keep a conversation going forever. She is adamant and likes history, as well as learning of different cultures and customs. She's optimistic and open-minded, and absolutely loves a good challenge.
But she's got a contradictory trait--she's very antisocial, and it's hard for her to make friends. She's a little quick to judge, but is in no way prejudiced. And Oleander Simon gets way in love way too fast--she's driven a lot of boys away like that. And it just keeps going because she's so nice and I'll save it for the RP...
Your starting pokémon
Pokemon 1 -
Species: Ditto
Nickname: Lilly
Short history:
Oleander caught Lilly trying to pose as a fruit stand owner, and as Lilly was wheeling the cart away, which the real vendor never did in the middle of a busy day, she sneaked up behind her and tickled her back. She quivered, and she lost the vendor's form. She turned around, with a sad look on her face. Oleander couldn't stay mad, and she let her tag along. She often Transforms into Oleander, forcing her to change and put on makeup so that they don't look exactly the same.
Short personality:
Lilly is a trickster, leading her to be the joker in their comedy duo. She'll pose as a little girl to get more money out of their street performances, even. She loves Oleander and would do anything for her, and would do nothing different. Despite being a trickster, though, she has a very serious side. But she'll always make light of the situation, if possible.
How does it help your profession?
Lilly is the joker of the comedy duo, and acts as an oblivious, go-all-out-and-reckless-and-headstrong person.
Spoiler:
Nick wandered through the forest. He ducked under branches, crawled under bushes, and pushed past logs. Antsy followed not so far behind on the wind, giggling every time Nick got whacked by a branch or fell and skinned his knee (which was a great many times). He kept calm, though, and just advanced. He looked around, both nervous and excited, wondering what would come but scared of it, too. But he knew his three other Pokemon were close by at all times, so he was reassured no matter how scared he was so deep inside.
He came upon a strange clearing with a large mossy rock. It kind of freaked him out, just sitting there and glowering at him. "Da-D-D...Vinci," he stuttered. As a REAL small guy, the rock was just huge, and he wanted to make sure it was at least real. A Marshtomp came waddling out of the trees to his right. It went over to him, looked up, and cocked its head. It didn't understand why its trainer had called it. "Vinci, do me a favor and hit that rock with an Ice Punch." Da Vinci turned around and waddled over to it. He generated a cold beam, spread it around his arm, and slugged the rock, full force. His arm recoiled, and he fell backwards with a thud. The rock got out, however, unscathed. Nick sighed a big sigh, and walked away, only faintly calling out to his Marshtomp between sighs. The Marshtomp got up and followed Nick, muttering to himself about how his trainer was a self-serving jerk. He just felt that way because the feel of the moss against his skin felt disgusting and got him agitated.
A while later, they stumbled upon another, much larger clearing. There was a man there, tall and blonde, and relatively young, 36 years maximum. He was arguing with a young woman. She had brown hair, and was dressed rather...oddly. He recognized her immediately as Gardenia, the Eterna City Gym Leader. He recognized her from television and magazines and crap. There was a large, creepy-looking mansion that looked like it came straight from the film of a horror movie. It was complete with a big, rusted gate right next to the pair of people.
"...suicide! I refuse to allow anyone to take a step into that building!" Gardenia fumed. "I
will stop you, Darrius!"
"Step aside, Gardenia," said the man that was apparently Darrius. He had a deep, commanding voice. "I don't want to hurt anyone."
Gardenia scoffed. "You don't want to hurt anyone?! That's bull crap, Darius!" She glanced over at Nick and around. "If you send them in there they'll ALL be endangered!
I'm the one that's keeping people safe!" Darrius glanced in Nick's direction as well. For the first time, actually. His eyes looked welcoming, but Gardenia's tone said otherwise.
The Sinnoh REPO leader spoke to his recruit and glanced a few other places, the same places Gardenia had looked only moments before. "Hello, recruits. It appears that we have a bit of a problem--would you assist me?"
"Well," said Nick, "I wouldn't say it's a problem, but we need to get in there. So, yeah." He looked at Gardenia apologetically. "Sorry, but it needs to be done..."
Gardenia glared at him and pulled out a bunch of Pokeballs from her pocket. "Yo-oou asked for it." She launched the Pokeball at the top of the pile, and a Lilligant popped out.
"Ahh...how about...ANTSY!" A white puff flew down from...wherever, and laded on the ground without a sound. It--or she--floated up a little, and while it floated, Gardenia's Lilligant danced elegantly around. It stopped in its tracks when it saw Antsy. Thalia and Mozart emerged from the trees behind Nick, but he waved them back. This was one-on-one. Antsy and Lilligant were staring off, and their trainers had to remind them that this wasn't a staring contest.
"Lilligant, Stun Spore!" Gardenia commanded. Lilligant shook its head, and a sparkling yellow powder leaked from the yellow spots on its flowers. Antsy saw the danger and quickly slipped away.
"Heh. Heh. Heh." Nick glared at Gardenia, a mischievous smile on his face. "Antsy, Substitute!" Antsy looked baffled by the request, but she shrugged it off. She puffed an ball of cotton from the blue spot on her back and let it float down to the ground. Luckily Lilligant hadn't been looking, and when she turned around, she though the puff of cotton was Antsy. The actual Antsy wafted off behind a tree, nowhere in sight. Thalia stifled a giggle, Mozart buzzed softly, and Da Vinci just stood there.
Gardenia looked at her Pokemon, pathetically glaring at a huge cotton ball. "Petal Dance!" she shouted, and Lilligant went into sort of a trance. It started dancing, then more rapidly, and the flower on its head glowed a vivid scarlet. The glow retained the shape of the petals when it flew off of the actual flower, and a luminescent, levitating flower was headed straight for Antsy's substitute. It sliced right through the puff, leaving only a third of it left.
"Antsy!" shouted Nick, "use Cotton Guard!" Of course, this verbal command had no direct repercussion. Lilligant, on the other hand, looked entranced still. It did what it had before, and this time there was no cotton left afterward. Antsy then floated down from a treetop, but she looked ...different, like she had sunken more into the cotton ball that was her back. She swooped forward and shot a few seeds at Lilligant. They sprouted and wrapped around it, and they let off a scarlet light. Antsy looked rejuvenated, and Lilligant fell to the ground. It flopped around a while, then the affects of Leech Seed hit again.
"Urgh!" Gardenia groaned and slapped her face. She examined the situation. Her expression showed that she couldn't believe a little kid like that could beat her so easily. Or, at least, near beat her. She called back Lilligant, now struggling against the tightening vines, sighed, and hung her head. Her head shot up again, glaring at Nick with a cool hatred. She chuckled softly and smugly and turned to walk away. She turned her head back to look at the wonder of Nick's slightness one more time, and then just slightly muttered the singsong words, "don't say I didn't warn you."
After Gardenia disappeared into the trees, Darrius turned to Nick. There were a few others around, he realized, and he looked at them, too, but he looked a second time at Nick's unbelievable petiteness. "Well," he said, with a clap of his hands, "thanks, guys. I was, believe it or not, really having trouble with her. She was spouting nonsense about the place being haunted"--at this point, Nick sighed HUGELY,--"and about how none of us will make it out." He looked around. "Hmph. Are you guys ready?" There were a few responses, Nick's very weak. "ALRIGHT, LET'S GO!" Darrius and some others pushed the gate open, Nick not even trying to help. They walked to the door. It was large and menacing, and, surprisingly, when Darrius poked it, it creaked open.
When Nick walked inside, closely followed by his Pokemon, he gasped at the beauty. Stairs flanking the left and right side of a small wall and large door, with doors along the walls to the stairs and after the stairs. There was a beautiful, rainbow-casting chandelier that, to Nick and his Pokemon, looked a little too much like a Chandelure. It was supported by large, ugly beams that, despite the aesthetic failure, went good with the rest of the room.
Then the doors slammed shut behind them all.
Darrius' rummaging echoed across the great hall, Nick was on edge the whole time. After a minute or so, Darrius ignited the lighter, causing little illumination. Deep shadows decorated the room, and the stairs were now drawn into a deep blob of black. Darrius' face was caressed by darkness, and he looked scared. There was a dark figure high above, hanging off of the beams supporting the chandelier. It smiled maliciously, the lighter's illumination glinting off of the figure's yellowed teeth. A frown spread across Darrius' face. "Crap. Alright, we must've activated some sort of old security measure. The door locked itself, and it can only be opened with a key." He gulped and looked up at the figure hanging by the rafters. "A key...that we now have to find." Darrius led his hand to his face.
Then the figure dropped from the rafters--and landed behind Darrius with a muffled thud. Darrius turned around to see what was going on, and his lighter went out. Then there was a large, unnatural tearing sound coming from around the door, and then there were agonized, painful, disgusting, horrifying screaming. Nick started to sing to himself as the shrieks and tearing continued. Thalia came close to comfort Nick, and she hugged him. They came eye to eye, and Nick gestured into the darkness for the others to come. Thalia knew he couldn't think straight, since he was apparently in so much pain and fright, and transmitted his thoughts to the other Pokemon. They came together and all embraced Nick. They all listened in horror as the tearing and screaming stopped, and were replaced by glops and smacks and painful whimpers. Soon after all sounds stopped. The boy and his Pokemon agreed that Darrius was dead, and they listened for more. Nick still hadn't stopped singing though, and over his sweet, angelic voice a deep, gravelly, laughing voice cut through the hall--
Until you have that done, we are actually going to start the RP.
Just remember: The RP does not have a completely linear plot line, but rather follows in comic book style, having episodic chapters rather than a single linear event (though there is a main plot that will get introduced).
Anyway, just so you know, the RP starts at Slateport City in Hoenn, where the ship where the circus performers traveled on docks in. Then, the ring master, Max, decides for everyone to get ready for the show on Slateport.
How that comes about? Its all up to you~
*****~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****
Hoenn was a tropical-like region where everyone was buzzing around in shops, and markets in tents and plaza's. While the atmosphere was buzy, the air was peaceful, and calm. It makes you want to go hungry. You can see a girl with a pink ballon and her mother walking down in a City known as Slateport.
Then, there was a sound. It came from the horns of a ship. The girl and her mother looked towards the pier where the ship was docking. It had a logo that said: The Swing Lows: the Weirdest bunch on earth.
The girl looked upwards toward her mother. "Mommy..." she started to ask. "What are...Swing Lows? Are they bad people?"
"I never heard of them; only that they just appeared out of the blue a few years ago," her mother said. "Well anyway, I hope they aren't evil indeed! I get enough evil from home when your father watches the Kingler hockey team. Ugh...doesn't he know that those guys are the sorriest bunch of idiots ever? And don't get me started on his indigestion...ew."
"Okay," the girl replied. "Mommy...What are...idiots? And what are... in..die...ges...tion?"
"I will tell you when you're older." her mother replied.
Meanwhile...
"The ship has now arrived at Slateport."
the intercom for the ship announced.
The Swing Lows are a circus group who have been performing for years -- they traveled around the world, along side they're partner pokemon. The ring master and owner of the group was known as Maximillion Fernandez, but everyone calls him "Max". Max had blond hair with a preppy magician outfit with matching purple pants. His top hat was also purple, but he didn't like wearing it outside of performances.
Max's partner pokemon was a Flygon, where Flygon was said to be a "clown" during performances. In fact, Max dressed his Flygon with a big light blue clown top hat, and a big red rubber nose. Flygon was said to throw pastries at the audience, but as lightly as possible. Last time, Flygon hit someone with a cream pie so hard that the guy was knocked out for 10 minutes. Supposedly, Flygon was embarrassed to be a clown, so it took its anger on un-suspecting viewers.
Anyway, the ship and the Swing Lows arrived at Slateport City, with Max the first to be eager, so he walked and raced up and down the ships docks and halls where the performer's rooms were. His Flygon was sitting down, leaning against a wall, nearby Max.
...Seriously, he's like a 10 year old at this sort of stuff.
"Ah, my young friends!" he shouted. "Can you feel it! The atmosphere of Hoenn! The tastes of Hoenn cuisine! The smeeeelllll of the moldy skitties! It thrills me to be part of the atmosphere that ISSSSS HOENN!"
Max was still continuing jumping up and down and racing on and about the halls of the ship. That was until he came across a certain room of a particular somebody: his adopted daughter: Rachel Fernandez. He wasn't known for respecting privacy, so he eventually decided to do a little dance, and burst open Rachel's room. Flygon was of course, un caring.
Meanwhile, Rachel Fernandez was standing in her room in front of a mirror, listening to her mp3 player. She was constantly bored with the 3 day trip on the ship to Hoenn, but when finally here, she was un caring. Her partner pokemon Ambipom, was fast asleep on her unoccupied bed.
"Samaurai Pizza cats..." she sang along with the music she was listening to. "We are going to have lots of fun--"
"RACHEL!"
"WHAT IN TARNATION--" Max's appearence in Dahlia's room made her stagger her a bit, and the impact woken up Ambipom. Rachel turned to Max, becoming very angry and very annoyed. "MAX! WHAT IN TARNATION ARE YOU DOING?! NOW HEAR THIS! YOU CAN'T JUST BARGE INTO A LADY'S ROOM! WHAT IF I WAS CHANGING?! OR WHAT IF I WAS PLANNING AN EVIL PLAN -- WHATEVER! YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT!!"
"AH, BUT YOUNG RACHEL!" Max yelled back. "THE ATHICS OF THE NAKED BODY ARE NO MATCH FOR THE JOYS OF PERFORMING! For we have arrived in Slateport City! 'The heart of Hoenn' as I would like to call!"
"...You never change Max," Rachel sighed. " I say, I've known for 5 years you always have the heart of a 5 year old pre-pubesent boy."
Max smiled. "Heh, you haven't changed yourself," he said. "That's good! We need that sort of hilarity!"
"Sure..." Rachel gagged as Ambipom looked on. "I reckon I'm going to spread 'hilarity' by throwing people a bone and tell them all about yer' fantasy tales about 'southern chicks' and have those pervert boys have an excuse to continue to say the word: (butt)".
"That would be great! I look forward to it!" Max said in joy. "Now, I'm going to help the other's prepare. Why don't you prepare too and when you're ready, we can head on out to the streets of Slateport and when we perform, you can tell them all about that! Well anyway, seeeeee yaaaaaa!"
Rachel sighed. "Dummy can't even tell my sarcasm..." she sighed as she turned to her awoken Ambipom. "Come on Raul; I reckon we outta get ready."
"The ship has now arrived at Slateport." the intercom for the ship announced.
Trisha looked up from the book she was reading. Outside the tiny window in her cabin, the sun was shining on a harbor. They had arrived in Hoenn.
"Come, Samson," she said, stroking the head of the large lion who lay on the floor at her feet. He got up, took one of her bags in his mouth while she carried the other one, and followed her silently out of the room.
Walking through the corridors of the ship, she heard some familiar voices.
"RACHEL!"
"WHAT IN TARNATION--"
Trisha smiled softly. Max was happy about being here. He had been almost annoyingly excited ever since he announced that they would travel to this distant island. And Trisha's "big sis" Rachel would by the sounds of it join her on deck soon.
The sea breeze swept through Trisha's long hair as she got up on the deck. Slateport. The big city was in front of her eyes, stretching out. No really tall buildings, and lots of joyful people. Maybe Max was right. This could be a good place to start off in. Trisha looked at her bags. She had everything packed. And if one of the others wanted help, they should ask her. She was fine here at the moment, with the sun in her face and Samson sitting beside her, smiling in the wind.
((OOC: for some reason, my fingers wanted to write Trisha as a bit melancholic ^^' At least now when she's arriving in an unfamiliar region.))
Rachel finally finished packing her suitcase and bags as she and Raul the Ambipom headed out the room. All the while she walked down the main hall, she noticed Max once again pestering the members of the circus. "Up and at em'! While the day is young!" he would say.
"That Max..." Rachel thought. "He outta have a muffler or somethin'. In fact, I'm going to give him a dare: he has to shut up for a week. No stakes or nothin', he has to shut up for a week." Raul chuckled as he helped Rachel carry some bags.
Rachel was too preoccupied on watching Max as she then all of a sudden bumped into someone. "Oof!" she said as the bump made her tumble a bit.
"I tink my node id browken..." Rachel said as she rubbed her nose. She looked up, and saw that the person she bumped into was Charlie, the Strongman. "Oh...Charlie...fancy bumpin' onto you here."
"I am Charlie the Strongman, alright, comrade?" Charlie corrected. "The title...it is important."
"I see you haven't lost you're ego..." Rachel sighed as she stood up. "Its about as big as your muscles."
"Wahahahaha!" Charlie heart warmingly laughed. "But of course! My muscles...they think of themselves! They are rivale dby no one else! Well...except of course..."
"Maaaachamp!" that was the cry of Charlie's partner pokemon: Raphael the Machamp. Raphael helps Charlie perform on stage by lifting as much weight as Charlie does -- both with two hands and one hand.
"Eheheheheh," Charlie laughed. "Raphael is the ONLY one that could of best me in the game of weights! You know what they say! MUSCLE OVER MIND, yeah?"
"...I believe its Mind over Muscle." Rachel corrected.
"Bah! YOU TALK OF NOTHING!" Charlie said in digust as he raised his arms in the air. "BE HOLD! Our mighty muscles! Ready Raphael!" "Maaaachamp!"
All of the sudden...Charlie and Raphael started to flex like they were in a "muscular man" contest. Rachel and Raul wasn't very impressed. In fact, they both gave hard, sqquinty looks at the both of them. Rachel looked like she was going to throw up.
"...Ew..." Rachel squealed as she and Raul quickly slipped away, without Charlie and Machamp notcing them.
But after a while, of course, even that got boring. Trisha sighed. Why were everybody taking so long time to get ready to leave? She started walking around the deck, Samson following.
"Whoa, miss! What a pokémon!" a little voice suddenly said and made her head turn.
A boy was standing on deck, seemingly scrubbing it clean. He must be a young sailor, probably having a father or older brother working on the ship and helping out. His eyes were big and round as he stared at the lion. Samson yawned, showing all of his teeth and deep down his throat.
"Whooooa," the boy said again, dropping his scrubbing things.
Trisha wasn't annoyed, actually. She was used to people admiring her big lion partner, since it wasn't such a common sight with Luxrays outside of Sinnoh. This boy had probably never seen-
"I had a friend who looked like that once!"
Oh.
"He was a... a... Luxio! I miss him. Can your pokémon do some electric stuff, miss?"
Trisha was starting to get annoyed now. Maybe he wasn't amazed by the pokémon, he just wanted to see if it was better than his Luxio.
"Yes, he can," she said, sighing. "But firing it off onboard could disrupt the mechanics of the ship, so I'm not going to show it off."
"I think you are!" the boy smiled and suddenly took forth a pokéball. Trisha blinked. "Go, Shellder!"
A tiny pokémon with a shell around it and a large tongue sticking out, emerged from the held out pokéball. "Now you'll have to battle me!"
The seabreeze swept over the deck, making Trisha's hair and Samson's mane sway. She lowered her face, making her dark eyes look intimidating under the fringe. "I don't battle for fun," she said lowly.
"Oh, come on, miss! Just this once? I want to see Luxray in action!"
Samson poked Trisha's arm with his nose. She noticed him smiling. He wanted to. Sigh, alright then.
"Samson... Tackle."
Samson shot forward and tackled the Shellder before it could react. It flew up into the air.
"Hah, that won't work! My Shellder's shell is so thick that nothing gets through it!" the kid shouted triumphantly.
"Not even sea water?" Trisha asked, turning to walk away already. Samson snorted and turned too.
"Wha-" the boy began, before he noticed that Shellder was gone. Turning around, he saw a lot of bubbling in the ocean next to the ship. Oh.
"SHELLDER! COME BACK HERE!"
Battles... Trisha thought. So unnecessary. There are so many more intelligent and elegant things for pokémon to do in the world than fighting.
"Okay! Okay! I GOT ANOTHER ONE! What do you call a ox who ram's someone on the behind? ...A BUTT-OX! AHAHAHAHAHA!!"
"Good grief..." Rachel squealed as she heard a familiar laugh. In fact, there was only one person in the world who laughed like that...Joey the Clown. Rachel and Raul continued to drag her suitcase to exit the haul of the ship. She finally reached the dock of the ship, when she found Joey, and a small boy, seemingly terrified of Joey.
Perhaps he hated clowns...
"Please...no more..." the boy cried. Rachel got concerned, so she raced over to the spot where Joey was.
"Ya'll best not make the kid commit suicide!" Rachel warned Joey.
"Hehehe...Hahahaha! S-Sorry..." Joey laughed. "but...telling jokes is fuN! Okay! Okay! Wait Wait! Just another one: What do you call a Vibrava and a Omnyte..?"
"W-what...?" the boy painfull asked.
"You really shouldn't of asked..." Rachel sighed.
"A...DRAGONYTE! AHAHAHA!" Joey laughed. "ITS FUNNY BECAUSE VIBRAVA AND OMNYTE SUCKS! Hehehe...Hahahahahaha!!"
"I...I want my mommmmmyyyy!" the boy cried as he ran away in tears. Joey was still laughing his head off, while Rachel glanced at the boy as he ran away. Then, she glanced back over to Joey.
"Ya'll best not try any of that un-funny stuff..." Rachel sighed. "For the kid's health...please."
"Hahaha...ha...o-okay, okay, I w-won't, hehe..." Joey tried to reply as he slowly got the laughter out of him. "By the way? I saw a Poochyena that got so tired after it "did its buisness". I guess you can say it was...POOPED! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"
Rachel glanced over at her Ambipom. Raul put on an unhappy face as it slowly hopped away.
"Max...what have you done hirin' this guy..." she sighed while slapping her forehead. "Look Joe -- I'll see you...in the show tonight." Rachel then started to drag her suitcase away again, with Joey still laughing his head off.
Rachel wondered a bit, until she wanted to stop and rest, with Raul was carefully trailing behind her.
"You know Raul, I reckon if the other's have gone and made it out okay," Rachel sighed. "Too much drama I had to endure..."
"SHELLDER! COME BACK HERE!"
"Hm...?" Rachel then heard a boy's cry. She saw by the docked ship that a boy was trying to return his, well...drowing Shellder Rachel supposed, back into its pokeball. She then noticed one of her 'sisters' as she puts it: it wa sTrish the Lion Tamer. Trish was the more sane people in the circus. Rachel then got up. She dragged her suitacase along.
"Trish, is that...you?" she asked.
"THE SHIP HAS NOW ARRIVED IN SLATEPORT."
"Oh, good. I was starting to get seasick." Oleander looked at Lilly, who looked like she was going to throw up.
"Could you not talk about that, please? You know it grosses me out," Oleander said. She stared out the porthole in their room. The glistening sea was behind them, and the dock was...clear? "Let's go--it's getting muggy in here." She stood up, picked up her suitcase, and waited for Lilly to follow suit. "Once we leave, I want to go straight to the market, okay? I want an Oran Berry." As soon as Oleander stepped into the hallway, she saw Max pacing up and down the corridor, Flygon leaning against the wall.
"Ah, my young friends!" he shouted. "Can you feel it! The atmosphere of Hoenn! The tastes of Hoenn cuisine! The smeeeelllll of the moldy Skitties! It thrills me to be part of the atmosphere that ISSSSS HOENN!" HE looked jubilant as he ran around in circles.
"Yeah, Max, moldy Skitties," Lilly said unsurely as they swept past him. They ran for the ramp and off of the ship, stopping abruptly as Oleander spotted Joey the clown terrorizing a little kid. Just as they were about to say something, however, Rachel, Max's adopted daughter, beat them to the punch.
"SHELLDER! COME BACK HERE!" A boy's cry could be heard from the deck. Lilly and Oleander turned around and looked up.
Rachel looked up, too, and said, "Trish, is that...you?" Lilly and Oleander saw her too--Trisha Kou, the Swing Lows' Lion Tamer, and her Luxray, Samson. Lilly was terrified of Samson, but Oleander was terrified of Trisha. She just looked so...menacing.
"Hello, Trisha!" Lilly called up. "By the looks of it, I'd say you were battling! Come on, with that little boy's Shellder?!" Oleander gave Lilly a glare that she never ignored. She looked down at her feet. Oleander looked at Rachel.
"Hi," said Oleander, and she grabbed Lilly's arm. "C'mon, Lil, I really want that Oran Berry!!" She dragged the Ditto along, and they stumbled over to the open-air market. Lilly looked at the map.
"Okay, Produce is Isle 4, Booths A2-A6," she observed. Oleander started dragging her there. When they got to the booth with the berries, Lilly placed the order. "Two Oran Berries and a Chesto Berry, please," she said, and the man behind the counter bagged them for her. "Thank you," she said, paying him and being dragged along some more. They made shakes out of the second Oran Berry, and they drank their smoothies as they ate their berries.
"Why'd you buy the Chesto?" Oleander asked, biting into her berry and sipping her shake.
"'Cause I need it to keep myself awake so I can keep up with you!" she complained as she attacked her berry for emphasis. They plopped down at a table nearby and looked around. "Too many humans..." Lilly said, and Oleander nodded in agreement. "And it smells polluted! Yuck!" She plugged her nose and made a face. Oleander did the same and took out an eraser. She held it to her nose. "Oh, it has a use!" Lilly said, sarcasm practically oozing from her lips.
"Shut up," Oleander said, and she looked around to see about getting a portable air freshener. She fanned her face and rubbed her right temple.
Lilly stood up. "I'll be right back," she said, and she walked away. She headed towards the ship, which surprised Oleander.
Ah, she has her Dittoey reasons. She sighed and sipped her smoothie, practically waiting for an accident to happen.
Life on Earth is like a man's shadow; it is something to compare the reality to.
The saying "if life gives you lemons, make lemonade" means to make the best of what you have; but what if you don't enjoy lemonade?
The only way to achieve true bliss is to die; if moms knew this, we'd be short 50% of the female population.
If two electric trains are running on two different planes of reality, and those two planes merge, how would one find out about the other before the crash?
And, in closing, if one squabbles with a true fool, after a while, he will begin to question who the real fool is.
"THE SHIP HAS NOW ARRIVED IN SLATEPORT."
That blaring was what greeted him as he entered the Hoenn region, Ariel flipped right side up from the pipe he usually hangs on and he set the red gameboy advance SP that he was playing on his bed.
"Haxorus, we're in the Hoenn region." Haxorus then nodded as a show of aknowledgement, as Haxorus got out of its ball-like position. Ariel then smiled and walked out of his room to be received by a myriad of noises.
"SHELLDER! COME BACK HERE!" Ariel quickly ran out with Haxorus following it, and Ariel then looked to see a common sight.
Ariel exhaled loudly as he then heard, "Trish, is that...you?"
Haxorus then made a wheezing sound, with a bit of coughing, and Ariel knew that Haxorus was laughing at the current situation. Arielshook his head at Haxorus' supposed idea of humor.
“Haxorus. Go wherever, we’re in a new city, I’ll see you later.” Ariel said absent-mindedly as he then used parkour to get to the top of the ship and did a sideflip to the land, and then began mixing runs and flips to get to the market.
Haxorus followed Ariel, turning into a ball and propelling himself to the land, while making a somewhat noticeable impression in the ground. Ariel then went to the market looking for some food for Haxorus to eat, while examining one of the flyers that had an advertisement for the group that he was part of, the swing lows.
Ariel then examined the flyer and chuckled at the lion tamer bit for Trisha, because he knew that Samson was very tame and housebroken, but their group was just doing acting, but he respected her, because she had to keep a straight face for the whole performance, all he believed that he had to do was to flip in different directions because his face was not visible.
Ariel looked at the remaining acts listed and then threw the flyer on the ground, as he walked toward Oleander as Lilly was walking away he then said, “What’s up Oleander?”
"Trish, is that...you?" a voice came. Trisha turned her head to see Rachel approach her.
Samson growled in a kind way, not the intimidating way. He liked Rachel even though her Ambipom could be quite annoying at times. Trisha smiled, and even if it looked as darkly as ever, it was a rather kind smile. "Yes, glad to see you survived the sea trip, Rachel," she said. "Where has Max gone off to? I guess we should just get off the boat already."
"Hello, Trisha!" Lilly called up. She was one of the comedy girls on the team and Trisha didn't really like her for some reason... there was something strange about her.
"By the looks of it, I'd say you were battling! Come on, with that little boy's Shellder?!" Lilly daringly said.
"I don't do battles," Trisha snapped. Samson snorted.
Oleander gave Lilly a glare that she never ignored. She looked down at her feet. Oleander looked at Rachel. The air was quite tense, until Oleander broke it, thank lord.
"Hi," the girl said and grabbed Lilly's arm. "C'mon, Lil, I really want that Oran Berry!!" And they were off, stepping onto dry land from the boat and shot off towards the great open-air market that was clearly visible from the harbor.
Following their example was Ariel, the acrobat of the circus. He and his Haxorus emerged from inside the boat, looking quite eager to finally having arrived in Hoenn. They did some of their usual jumps and twists and were off the boat before Trish or Rachel had even had time to greet them.
"Like I said... we'd better get off. I doubt Max would have any problems with out stretching our legs for a little while, or what do you think Rach?"
Samson took action and started walking towards the ramp by himself. Trisha stopped smiling and followed him, only nodding slightly towards Rachel and Raul to follow.
