So, I restarted my SS the other day, and was playing through. I got to Azalea town, and started my routine talking to everyone to get anything I can. Thats when I stumbled upon this:

Quote:
Sag mal, kennt eins deiner Pokemon vielleicht irgendwelche Geheimattacken? Pokemon, die Kampfunfähig sind sollen angleblich kräfte freisetzten, mit denen sie Geheimattacken einsetzten können.
Sorry, its german, but translated it means this:

Hey, do any of your pokemon know any secret attacks? Pokemon, that have fainted, supposedly set free powers, with which they can use secret moves.

My best translation! If you want to check, its the pokecenter there.

Any ideas what it means? It won't be HMs, pokes dont need to faint to use those. So, what could it be?

I think it is referring to HMs. I think the translation might be off.

I think it's saying that Hidden Machine moves (Secret Moves) can be used even though a Pokemon is fainted rather than only if a Pokemon is fainted.

I agree here. It sounds like HMs to me. The translation is just a bit awkward.

I have to say that seems to be the case - there are a couple of TMs moves that also have that property (e.g. Dig) but otherwise it's most likely HMs it is talking about.

Can't say I see much other discussion coming from this, so closed!
