"Heheh.. Captain Rumble speakin', one of the Pokemon in charge of the PR. I'd like to make an offer: Give up. Let the Pokemon take over the region. You've no chance of winning."

"Captain Rumble? Is that what you call yourself? You are in charge now?" Jack said. "And wait, GIVE UP? You've gotta be kidding me. You're an idiot. Do you really think I'll cooperate?" Jack laughed.

"And.. I've just been informed that you're sending troops here? The city will be assaulted by Pokemon, shortly. IF you are able to get your troops to Eterna, I'll not just destroy every human on sight, but every building." Rumble said.

"Do you really think so? Getting over confident, I see." Jack said. "And hacking? Clever, Rumble. Clever."

"He's in control." Jack thought. "But not for long...."

"The pesimistic pokemon who doubts his own victory, also happens to be the single pokemon who was captured and locked up by the Eterna Police." The Leafeon said.

"I'm not pessimistic, Leafeon. I'm simply realistic. You can't assume that you're going to win. Specially not while crying like that."

"Meanwhile us, the pokemon who believe in our cause, have managed to sneak past the entire depatment, take out the captain and begin an attack order on the city."

"Not us, kid. Them." He pointed towards the Zorua and Rumble. "You're nothing but a burden. Can't you even do one thing properly?" He pointed towards the awake receptionist. "You're scared. You're a burden to them. Nothing else. Don't get so cocky just because you evolved right now. I know everything."

"Look I don't know who you are, I don't know why you were imprisoned here, but I'm not sure I care... Now I want you to tell me right now, are you a friend or are you a foe?"

Ace gave him a smile. "What do you think?"

Suddenly, a voice started to speak in his mind. “He’s on the phone. What are you doing? Be quiet and let him work,” He felt a bit of pain in his mind, and he knew whose voice it was.

He looked at the Zorua, and thought, Don't you dare try it. Don't. You. Dare." His voice was full of seriousness, enough to make a Steelix go mad with terror.

Suddenly, he heard the human helicopters, and voices down the hallway. The Leafeon spoke up, "Ummmmm... guys we might want to hurry up and leave cause it would appear that the human cavalry has arrived."

When he saw the group of soldiers, he panicked. "Ooooohhhhh, ummmm guys scratch that, we have to leave now, like RIGHT now!"

Rumble grabbed Lydia, and nodded at the rest to follow him. Ace immediately spread his wings, and dashed after him.

Everything that happened after that was a blur. Rumble burst the building, and then grabbed the Leafeon and Zorua, and levitated.

As soon as Rumble was on the ground, he spoke, "Come on, this way! We need to get to the parking"

Ace followed Rumble towards the parking. Rumble blasted the cars with his flamethrower, and then grinned.

"Field." he said to the Zorua.

"Phew, you got us of that one, Rumble." Ace said, with a grin. It soon faded when he heard a voice from above.

"You are surrounded, Pokemon! Give up!" Ace looked up to see a helicopter, guns pointed their way.

"Uh oh...." Ace thought.

Ace grabbed the Zorua, and the Leafeon, and put them on his back. He flew up, and yelled at Rumble, "Sorry Rumble, you're too heavy for me! Make sure you lose some weight!" Ace laughed, and then flew away, at top speed, towards Oreburgh.

He glanced back once, to see the helicopter shoot bullets towards Rumble. "There's no way he can get out of that one...." He thought, with his evil grin.

Wade
Hearthome City
Jail Cell

Mark brought Liliac in, and Wade tilted his head. So she was her trainer, and apparently that Silence Quickslash cared about her. A lot even. Jack was going to continue, but a woman rushed in, and things didn't look too good.

"Now, tell me. Even if it's a rumor, a doubt in your mind, anything about the PR, tell me. They must have discussed something before the attack on Oreburgh. Something. And you better tell me quickly..." He grabbed Lilac's arm. "or she's going to miss a finger. I'm dead serious."

Lilac stared at him. "What the heck is your problem?! I'm on your side!" she screamed.

"You may be on our side, but your unco-operative little Weavile there isn't." Wade spoke coldly, glancing at Liliac with murderous eyes, and turned to Silence once again, staring at her as she stared at him.

Jack handcuffed the angry and confused Lilac to a different jail cell and said to Wade, "I'll leave the rest to you. Take care of it." He than walked out with the woman. Silence glanced at Lilac before fixing her gaze on Wade. Now alone, Wade had to be extra careful around the two, as Silence could come up with something sneaky. Wade was now in charge and he didn't want to let his trainer down.

"You may as well get it over with," Silence said. "Even if I did know anything I wouldn't tell anyone from the HR. Especially not a traitor."

Wade wasn't hurt, as he knew he wasn't a traitor. He hadn't even joined the PR yet, according to his damaged mind. Looking back at Silence, Wade repelled.

"Look, I don't know what you are talking about." Wade replied, frowning, "I've always been in the HR, and I've been with my trainer Jack Spark since the beginning of time. I am not a traitor of the HR, and I haven't been in your little crummy Poke Rebellion yet. Mind you, I wouldn't mind hurting your little trainer over there."

Glancing at Liliac, Wade fired a dark pulse of energy by opening his mouth, striking the trainer in the stomach with a strong pulse of dark force, forcing her back until she was slammed against the wall, still cuffed to the cell, leaving some scratch marks on her wrists.

Looking at Silence once again, Wade's eyes narrowed, his body glowing, ready to fire another attack, "Now, speak."

The Eterna Skies

"What the hell are you doing?!" Mandel cried as the pidgeot flew them through the skies.

"Why are you just leaving him there? What possible motive could you have?" He screached.

He watched as the helicopter began to fire at Rumble, bullets flying everywhere.

"Arceus damn it! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Mandel tried to shake free but the flying pokemons grip was too strong.

"Rumble!" He cried. He didn't exactly like the Reniclus but... he had just started to grow on him. He didn't want to leave him to die.

Soon it was too late, they were very high up, breaking free would only seal Mandels fate.

"Why? Why on Earth would you do that?!"

The Pidgeot from before grabbed Lydia and Mandel and flew off as the pillot of helicopter was yelling something.

"Sorry Rumble, you're too heavy for me! Make sure you lose some weight!"

Rumble glowed with rage. The second the flying Pokemon turned around to say that, Rumble created an explosion on its left, blocking his way. He extended his arm and punched it right in the face with great force, as the helicopter was shooting him. Bullets all around, everything was in slow motion. Behind him was a backalley, leading to a dead end.
Dust.. Fire..

He immediately turned and run to the backalley, while being shot. He knew the helicopter would have trouble reaching him there. Rumble climbed the right flat's stairs and headed to an appartment, breaking the window and activating the nanotech of his Camo.

But, it didn't work. The bullets shot through it destroyed the technology. And he was hurting somewhere in his left ribs. He looked down to see the bullets that cut through his gel, one being in his armor.
With eyes shut in pain, he leaned againist the wall of the random appartment, and used the claws of his right arm to remove the bullet. He was still glowing with rage and power.

"Gah"

But he knew the helicopter wouldn't give up so easily. He heard quick footsteps outside the door. He jumped out of the window, landing hard on his hands. I have to keep going, he thought. He smashed againist the wall of the backalley multiple times till it broke and headed to the other street.
The sewers!
The helicopter was still on him, above the flat he just exited. Another rain of bullets was shot at him.
He used the last bit of his power to a Trick Room, just to cover the distance between him and the entrance of the sewers on the ground, in the middle of the road.
Rumble opened the can and jumped inside, feeling more bullets shot through his body. His brain was working like crazy and he had a plain, lethal expression on his face and pain somewhere in the back of his mind, contained as he fell down the pipe without even using the stairs. He looked around; a pipe with dirty waters and their exit. He was feeling like it was his enviroment here, the smell.. he jumped into the black water and let it carry him.

(See, if I had equalizer all would be dead. Also why does the helicopter have to chase me and not the Pidgeot? They're in the sky, closer to the copter.)

Don't you dare try it. Don't. You. Dare," The pokemon replied to her in a serious tone. She merely laughed. She had gotten him mad, if not at least irritated. Good.

Everything went too fast. Before she knew it helicopters had arrived, Rumble shouting out a command and firing at whatever he saw- humans, who were quickly crowding around the group. Rumble began levitating elsewhere, a domino of explosions from behind.

“Field,” he asked her. She was ready to acknowledge, but immediately the Pidgeot picked her up from behind. Her eyes went pure red with rage. "Sorry Rumble, you're too heavy for me! Make sure you lose some weight!" Powering up, she didn’t have to attack as an explosion came from the left, the Leafeon and her dropping on the ground. But she wasn’t done.

Immediately letting all her rage out, she began smacking the Pidgeot with Suckerpunches at an amazing rate, her power mixing with her overall fury. Lydia would make him pay for all the trouble. She pinned him against the wall, slamming him down only stopping as she saw Rumble getting shot at. "Oh, sh*t", she thought, running for him, but before she could do anything, the Reuniclus was already gone.

I couldn’t help him…” she thought, upset and frustrated for being unable to help the friend who saved her. She blamed the Pidgeot for everything. He was pathetic. She didn't want HIS help, but someone had to do something.

Lydia grabbed the Leafeon, forcing him to run forward while she held a Protect up.

“MOVE IT!” she yelled out, feeling more pressured than ever. Racing out a window, she dodged the falling rocks and fire. Outside the building, she quickly set up a field for her and the Leafeon, though it was too late as she was shot in the leg, falling forward onto her face. The pain shot through, the Zorua unsure how far the single bullet had gone into her fresh. The invisible dome cracked with uneven panels before fixing itself.

"D*mnit," she thought. Lydia was cussing a little too much, but she didn't care. Whoever shot her would be dead meat. Someday.

“I’m, s-sorry...” was all she could mutter out to Mandel, “Let me go, on your back…take us wherever you can run. Maybe, towards Hearthome…”

Mandel
Eterna City
Police Departement/ streets

"LYDIA!" Mandel screeched.

The chopper had followed Rumble but another one was coming and Mandel quickly sprung to Lydias side. Mandel was angry and could feel the sun radiating inside him. He picked up Lydia by the scruff of her neck and threw her onto his back, the chopper was getting closer.

Mandel ran, but the chopper was too fast. He ran as fast as he could to the East towards route 211, Hearthome city and most impotantly Mount Coronet, Rockets and Bullets zipping past him, two of them grazing his cheek. He jumped through market stalls over cars, past people and projectiles as he headed to the one place he could avoid them from. Mount Coronet. He left Eterna and ran towards the Mountain, the sunlight absorbing into him as he went. They were at the entrance almost out of harms way when... a rocket blew up directly behind him. Injuring him and catapulting him and Lydia into the cave before them. Mandel landed hard on his back just inside the mountain, Lydia landed a bit further in. The chopper lowered to just outside the caves mouth and began to reload its machine guns. Mandel just stood there, his instincts taking over again. He screamed.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!"

He took all his sunlight energy, all of which he had absorbed on his run up to the mountain and unleased it. A massive golden beam shot down from the sky, solarbeam. The chopper missiles erupted early and blew up in a massive explosion destroying the chopper and hurling Mandel further into the cave. He landed beside Lydia.

Mandel was extremely injured, in destroying the chopper, he had done more damage to himself, he was bleeding from where the bullits grazed him and his whole body was bruised, he still had a little bit of power left, he could've healed himself, but he didn't. Instead Mandel reached over and touched Lydias injured leg, and used the little bit of power he had left, to use synthesis and heal it best he could, then his eyes began to close. Mandel let out a slight whimper, than passed out.

Varik checked his GPS, the map on his knee board and the approaching landmass in front of him. His squadron of 12 Widowmakers had just taken an 8 hour flight to get here only landing once for fuel. ‘Time to announce our arrival,’ thought Varik. He changed the frequency to a local channel intelligence had said the HR used, and then he keyed the microphone button on his power control level and said, “Human Republic, Hellion 1, 3 nautical miles from the coast. I am weapons hot and need a target.” He kept it short and vague just in case he was using a bad frequency. The HR didn’t know they were coming so hopefully the person on the other end could peace the puzzle together. Not that it mattered to Varik much, thanks to two under wing fuel pods and a recent mid air refueling they had enough fuel to find a target.

“Point Welcome, Squadron split up on briefed flight paths, flight 1 change to 321.5 and descent to 6,000,” said Varik to the squadron of fighters. He then switched his 2nd radio to the new channel for his flight as he pitched the jet’s nose down using a little forward stick pressure and began his descent.

Varik couldn’t shake this uncomfortable feeling in his gut about this whole thing and he didn’t understand why. His country had crushed their minor rebellion in the matter of hours and within three days there was nothing left of the rebellious Pokemon, but now he was in his childhood home and that feeling was stronger than before. He was a warrior… killing was his job, but it didn’t mean he had to like it. Perhaps it was the nature of the war that irked him. Both sides were equally ruthless and many times it looked more like extermination than a war. ‘Focus, #@)([email protected]’ thought Varik, almost missing his level off point. He refocused on the task at hand as he looked out his canopy for any hostiles.

--------------------------------

Skyna walked several yards behind the group of Fire Pokemon that were moving to wipe out some cities. She didn’t like this, and she didn’t like Rumble. He was a monster and he would bring nothing but suffering and pain to both humans and Pokemon. She hated the war, but she believed Pokemon deserved freedom…. But was this about freedom anymore? Shaking her head she knew the answer… no, it was about revenge. There had been no effort made to this point to try to negotiate, that she knew of, for Pokemon to have freedom so both races could live as equals. It would be the only way to make the suffering stop.

She had separated herself most of the time from other Pokemon so she couldn't feel their emotions. She hated feeling their hate, fear, sorrow, and pain. That is all she felt anymore… no joy, happiness, or any other positive emotions. All the negative emotions were wearing down on her. Sighing she looked up to the sky as if looking for something she knew wasn’t there.

Mount Coronet Cavern

The Leafeon was running too fast, tripping and sliding both of them inside the cave entrance of Mount Coronet. The chopper lowered slightly, missiles ready to fire. A scream from Mandel came as he shot out a Solar Beam from the sky, followed by a large explosion which flung the pokemon back farther into the cave. He landed next to her, looking more injured than before. He was cut up from some of the bullets, dirt all over his fur along with bruises. Before she could do anything, he touched his paw on her leg, healing her. Her eyes widened.

"N-no, Mandel! You-"

He passed out in front of her. Looking down at her wound, she bit out the pieces of the bullet before the wound closed up, even if it wasn't completely sealed. The Leafeon had healed her. It was a brave move, but not a smart one. "Great...now what?" she growled aloud, although she still felt gratitude towards Mandel for helping her. The problem; now she didn't have a medic. Carrying him would also be an issue. Illusions were always powerful and could make up for her size and strength, though the last problem was going to be one she couldn't tackle with power. Mount Coronet, itself.

"Lets go little guy," she said, jumping in the air with a vibrant red and white light. Her appearance expanded as the illusionary light broke, her coming down as a Charizard. Her red pupils shot through the darkness as the light reflected off of the walls and floor, Lydia picking up the Leafeon and setting the pokemon on her shoulder. His body was limp, and she was having trouble holding him up. Otherwise, she glided with the little space she had, even if Mandel was a pain to keep on her back properly.

Flying to an opening in the cave, she flapped backwards with her wings to come to a stop. The Leafeon's body almost fell off, though she caught him before he fell off.

"This isn't working. What else can I transform into though? Anything?"

Her time was running out, already. The medic was bleeding over her body, and she had no way of healing him. The Charizard couldn't even think of a proper illusion to make getting around easier. Roaring out in frustration, Lydia took the body off her back and instead held him with her tiny arms, kicking off the ground and flapping her wings to get a few feet of air off the rocks below. Trying to maneuver around was very difficult, the pokemon's sight limited as it was dark. A few Zubat clouded her vision before she dropped downward from the passing pokemon, almost dropping Mandel as she did. Going down, she hit the side of the wall with a roar out in pain, dropping a few feet down on her back. The hard ground didn't make a good cushion.

Her illusion cracked like glass as she hit the ground, the Zorua breaking Mandel's fall. The small pokemon climbed out from underneath him, upset and confused on where they were. Everything was dark, her light red eyes the only thing shedding light inside Mount Coronet. It was hopeless. Trying to lift the Leafeon over her small body, she was unable to get anywhere, especially with the injury in her leg.

"What can I do now...?" she asked herself quietly, a sound from behind shooting up her senses as she turned around with fierce eyes and pinned back ears. Her expressions changed quickly.

In front of her were some smaller pokemon- a group of them, including two Cleffa, a Chingling, and a Bronzong. They appeared friendly, but Lydia couldn't tell. She made up her mind as soon as the Brongzong spoke.

"Where are you heading? You and your friend are obviously lost, and hurt...we can assist you by getting you out of Mount Coronet from whatever destination your going to."

The little Zorua almost felt like crying with relief. "Hearthome City!" she stumbled out, obviously joyful to see the group of pokemon. Immediately, the Cleffa's horns began to glow, a Flash of light springing from the small pokemon as it lit up more of the cave than Lydia could. The pokemon began to walk, her following as the Chingling and Bronzor levitated off the ground with her friend.

Khufu wasn't surprised to find Rumble in Eterna City, in the middle of a series of explosions. From what the Reuniclus had gotten into whenever he left on his own, Khufu had even expected to find something like this. He was about to confront Rumble when he noticed Lydia and some Leafeon escaping to the east. Almost taking a step in the same direction to investigate, he noticed a bandanna around the Leafeon's ear. Smiling on the inside, Khufu recognised the Pokemon as Mandel. At first I was worrying about his safety, Khufu thought, Now with that body, he'll be okay. And that makes things sooo much easier for me.

Looking up in time to see Rumble descend a manhole into the sewers, Khufu ran over and watched the nasty water of the sewers carry Rumble wherever they pleased. Had Khufu been a Jolteon, he could shock the waters, conducting the electricity to Rumble, but he wasn't. Of course, with Khufu's moveset, it took about two seconds to see what Plan B was. Sticking his head down into the sewer chamber and flicking about five Shadow Ball attacks where Rumble would be in a moment, Khufu was unaware of the fact that a few armed humans were closing in on him.

Mandel
Mount Coronet Cavern
Strange Dream

"Where...Where am I?" Mandel awoke and looked around he wasn't in Mount Coronet anymore. There was nothing, just an empty blackness.

"Oh no... am I?" Mandel stuttered fear heavy in his voice. Suddenly a strange voice began to speak, it was smooth and calming, it relaxed Mandel.

"Do not fear Mandel, your time has not yet come." The voice said.

"W...who are you?" Mandel asked.

"That will be revealed to you in time my child, for now there are things we must discuss." The voice replied.

"Such as?" Mandel asked, he felt like he could trust this entity.

"Mandel... you have a purpose my child... there was a reason you were taken away from your former life, a reason you may not fully understand. Let me explain" The voice began.

"When you were born your parents were a Leafeon and a Glaceon, you were healthy as an egg but when you were born you developed an extreme case of Pokerus, for one as young as you, such a case was lethal. Your Mother was distraught, her mind astrife with worry. But...your father, the Leafeon, had a plan..." The voice continued.

"Thats a lie." Mandel replied. "I was raised by humans"

"Allow me to finish my child... and then all will be clear." The voice retorted.

"Ahem... now as I was saying your father had a plan, he came to my shrine and appeased to me, I consider all of the grass types my children, so I felt obliged to help him... I cured you from your disease but... your parents already had the disease and did not want to spread it back to you, usually when pokerus is cured pokemon become immune to its effects. But because I cured you using my own power, your body did not build up an immunity to the disease. Your parents told me to take you somewhere safe, so I gave you to a human family in Sunnyshore city... and I have been watching you from afar ever since."

"So my parents, they didn't just abandon me?" Mandel asked.

"No my child, they have never stopped loving you." The voice said.

"Are they..." Mandel began.

"No my child, at least not both of them..." The voice interupted.

"Your Mother still lives in the frosted forests of Snowpoint city. Now child like I mentioned before, you have a purpose... you must find the key Mandel, the key to this."

Suddenly a green, leaf shaped crystal locket materialized before mandel.

"This locket contains the final message your father left to you. You must find the key to open it." The voice was beginning to fade.

Mandel panicked. "Wait!, Wait who are you? Where do I find the key?!"

"All in good time my child, All in good time..." The darkness suddenly lifted as the voice faded away.

Mandel awoke with a start, he hurt all over and was bleeding. He looked around to see Lydia and a group of pokemon standing around him, he realised they were in Mount Coronet. He looked down and saw that the leaf pendant was hanging around his neck.

Mount Coronet Cavern

The Leafeon awoke from behind, her large ears flicking back. They had been walking for a while with the strange group of pokemon, the Cleffa still I front while the Bronzong dragged behind with her friend. She was glad he was awake after such a long time.

“Oh, hey, welcome back,” she giggled in a friendly tone, her bad mood obviously lifted by the pokemon guides. She hadn’t noticed the pendulant around Mandel’s neck.

“Your hurt, aren’t you, Leafeon? Let me help you out a bit,” said the childlike Chingling, who bounced from the Zorua’s side to Mandel while making tiny sounds similar to a bell. The sound itself was music to Lydia’s ears. Levitating off the ground, the psychic pokemon touched Mandel’s side, its small hand sending energy into the Leafeon with a Recover.

“It won’t effect you very much, but as soon as you get outside I’m sure your Synthesis can fix up your wounds,” the Chingling said with a smile, hopping back on the ground as the Bronzong set Mandel down from his levitation.

“We’re here, Lydia!” the Cleffa spoke out to her.

“Thanks a bunch. All of you,” she replied, looking ahead to see light pouring through the dark cavern. Taking the Leafeon by his paw, she ran over to the exit, waving goodbye and making Mandel wave with her. The second Cleffa from behind came out with a tiny smile. Satisfied, the group of pokemon also waved, turning around and disappearing into Mount Coronet’s darkness.

“You almost got us killed!” she immediately grunted at the medic, her voice turning soft quickly, “But I appreciate you healing me.”

Looking around, she memorized the area as route 208. Heading East, they would hit Hearthome City. But for now, she had to rest, her exhaustion still there from lack of sleep. She curled up, staring at Mandel as if asking him to give her some space.

Abe grunted. He was wondering what to do now. He could head out and join the armies heading for Eterna, or he could, for some random reason, head out to Mt. Coronet. Mt. Coronet was the best place to venture for Abe, because for some reason it made him feel at home. Ground and rock types often liked mountains or anything that had to do with large amounts of rubble, and the same could be said for Abe. He decided to ignore fighting for now, and head over to Mt. Coronet. When he got there, the north entrance was sealed, apparently blown up. "Grah! These annoying humans." said Abe, assuming that humans had done this. Despite the fact that Abe could've taken the other entrances, he needed to sharpen up his fighting skills. Mainly because he had not fought since the last battle, and was starting to get rusty. Abe grunted, lifting off the first boulder, and depositing it on the floor. He decided that this would take too long, and started smashing away at the boulders. Finally, he crushed them all and got through to the tunnel.

About half an hour later, Abe got to a fork in the tunnel. Both ways seemed to lead into oblivion. Suddenly, a small band of Pokemon appeared. They consisted of various Pokemon shrouded in shadow, Abe could only make out two Cleffa, a Chingling and a Bronzong. "Who are you?" asked Abe in a stern voice. One of the Cleffa hid behind a boulder, seemingly afraid. The other was trembling. Abe decided not to take any notice of them and move along, but then the Bronzong said "Wait, sir. You seem lost." His voice, echoing in the distance. "Indeed I am." admitted Abe, he was not one for having too much pride, so it was fairly easy to admit such a thing. "We can guide you to where you need to go." said the Bronzong. The Cleffa came up to him and whispered something in his ear "Worry not, young one. He means us no harm, he is of the Pokerebellion." the Bronzong said to the Cleffa. "How do you know that?" interrupted Abe, surprised. "I am a Psychic type, young one. I know all." said the Bronzong in response. Abe was surprised, not at him knowing all, but by the fact that he'd called him a young one. Was this Bronzong really that old?

"Very well, I seek to head to Hearthome City, that is the only other city that is not infested by human scum other than the one I came from." said Abe. "Before we go, Golurk, I have a question for you. Why did you come here?" asked the Bronzong. "Because it makes me feel good." replied Abe. The Bronzong then said "Alright, follow me."

"You know, two others like you came passing through here earlier." said the Bronzong, while they were walking. The Bronzong was apparently named Vestre. "You mean, other Golurk?" asked Abe. "No, other Pokerebellion members." replied Vestre. "Hm, where did they go?" asked Abe. "Same way you're headed, I think. They seemed exhausted an injured. Maybe you could help them?" asked Vestre. "That depends." replied Abe simply.

Mandel breathed in a blast of fresh air as he stepped out into the evening sun, a golden glow covering his body as synthesis closed his wounds, howver the two graze marks on his cheek woulld leave a permanent scar. Mandel grasped the pendant around his neck, Snowpoint city...

They had emerged from mount coronet into a lush field of soft grass.
In human time Mandel guessed it was about seven O' clock in the evening.

“You almost got us killed!” Lydia suddenly grunted at him grunted at him.

Mandels ears drooped and a frown came across his face.

"I didn't mean to... I never meant..." Mandel spluttered.

“But I appreciate you healing me.” Lydia said with genuine gratefulness.

Mandel smiled and blushed, his ears still drooping.

"It was nothing..." he smiled.

Lydia was obviously exhausted. She curled up into a ball and eyed him. At first Mandel was confused, but then he understood what she wanted.

"Oh right... alone time got it." Mandel decided he would take a walk.

He strolled through the grass letting the due stick to his legs he came back half and hour later, he assumed Lydia was asleep so he decided not to bother her. He stood at the edge of a rocky outcropping, not to far from where Lydia was Lying down. He was looking North.

"I'll come for you Mom" He whispered.

"Someday, I promise I'll come for you."

Abe had been venturing for about half an hour, and wasn't getting tired at all. On the other hand, the Cleffa and the rest of the small band had fallen back. "Where are your friends going?" asked Abe. "Too tired. We've been venturing for around thirty minutes now you know." replied Vestre. "Are you sure you know where you're going?" Abe asked Vestre. "Yes, we are almost there." replied the Bronzong.

A little while later, Abe thought he could hear Taillow chirping, then, sunlight came. "The exit?" Abe asked. "Yes. Farewell, Abraham." replied Vestre, and floated away into the darkness of the cave. "Wait...I didn't tell him my name..." Abe thought. He shook his head, to get it out of his mind, and continued venturing on.

After a small walk, Abe came across a beautiful field, Hearthome City was closeby. Many people had told Abe before that he should "Go out into the open and lighten up, smell the flowers" Abe could only ever reply with the term "I have no nose."

However, Abe could not deny that it felt good to feel have the tall grass rub against his legs. Normally, a Ghost Type couldn't feel anything much, but his Ground typing changed that. For this, Abe felt lucky, thinking about other Ghost-types. How envious they must be.

After returning from his walk in the fields, Abe decided to head for Hearthome, and then make his way back to Canalave from there. He looked to the north to see a rocky cliff. There, were two Pokemon. A Leafeon and a Zorua. Not the most likely of pairs. The Zorua had a funny colouration, but the Leafeon looked regular. Aside from some noticeable scars. These must've been the two Pokemon that Vestre mentioned. If He was telling the truth, then they would be fellow PR members, and it would be dishonourable to leave them to rot. Vestre did not lie about their exhaustion, it seemed. The Zorua was asleep, and the Leafeon looked ready to fall over himself.

"May I ask who you are?" Abe bellowed.

Hector Arcturus
?????

The journey had been a long one, much longer than he would have liked. He imagined that since he had left, Khufu would have taken over. But he was hearing things about Rumble being the one in charge. He dismissed this as just rumors for now. Together with Jun, Hector walked down the dark area he resided, the smell of the place filling the Arcanine's nose, which was very sharp. He tried to ignore it, even if it was like asking a burning person to act as if he wasn't on fire.

Jun walked besides him, a carefree persona surrounding him. If anyone were to look at him and had never known him, they would never know he carried the troubles he carries now. Hector and Jun walked silently through the tunnel. Hector heard things have been going on in Eterna, so that was where he went to find the PR. He had to share with them what he discovered with Jun.

Suddenly, Rumble floated in front of them, through the sewers. He had definitely seen action. Hector couldn't believe his luck, but wouldn't ruin the opportunity.

"Well, if it isn't Rumble." Hector spoke out loud, addressing the Pokemon with a stern voice.

"What's been going on while I was gone?" He asked, not waiting to explain why he was gone just yet.

Mandel turned around to see the large pokemon before him and smiled.

"Thats very rude you know, to come up to total strangers and ask them of their names. Especially when one of them sleeps." Mandel said gesturing towards Lydia.

Mandel looked at their visitor he was very large and intimidating indeed.

"But if you insist my name is mandel, and this is Lydia." Mandel said.

The grass was slightly rustling as a cool breeze blew and the sun set over the horizon, plunging the field into a peaceful darkness.

"Now stranger, who might you be and what buissness do you have with us? Your not human and you don't have their scent, so you are more than likely an ally... So I ask again, what is your name and why would you have buissness with us?"

All of a sudden four black shapes flew over Lydia, Mandel, and Abe. A loud roar could be heard as they passed over at incredible speeds. The only thing the pokemon could make out was their general shape with blade like wings tapering forward and an ominous red hourglass painted on the underside of the human inventions. Underneath the smooth body of the jets several objects were attached, but what they were the pokemon didn’t know. They quickly started to disappear on the horizon heading in the direction of Hearthome City. The pokemon had never seen anything like these before, but they had to be human devices which meant bad news.

Varik had not heard anything from the HR and he wondered if they were still intact. He few around the mountain instead of over it just to keep himself somewhat entertained. It didn’t take him long to spot a town ahead of the fighters. “Hellion 2,3,4 climb to 8,000 and watch my six I’m going to buzz that town to see if there are any hostiles there,” said Varik to his wingmen.

“Let me drop some napalm on it and find out that way,” replied Hellion 2.

“Negative, it could be a human town,” replied Varik grinding his teeth to hold back his anger at Jerome Blake, who was Hellion 2. The man was heartless, and had a passion for burning things too bad he was a great pilot and never stepped over the line in a way Varik could get rid of him. It could also be a pokemon town full of innocent pokemon that had nothing to do with the rebellion, but he knew to the Donegal Commonwealth or the Human Republic that didn’t matter. He then rolled his aircraft into a 70 degree bank and boosted power to keep up his Airspeed. He then started his high speed turn around the town to see if he could make out anything.

Rumble
Eterna Outskirts
Sewer Exit

Rumble heard one of the noises he was most afraid of: dark power was cast againist him from the wall of the sewers. He turned and saw the general, Khufu, unleashing 5 shadow balls againist him.
The psychotic maniac was hit by two of those shadow balls in the shoulder and right hand, pushing him around the black waters. Even though his gel was always protecting him, these hurt as they melted into his gel, turning it black on the spot.

Rumble smirked in pain and half shut his eyes as the water was leading him out of the city.

"These balls.. they sure get 'round" mumbled Rumble and let out a laugh which echoed in the walls of the sewers, sounding like a growl of pain. Rumble looked forward in the darkness, only to see a set of bricks coming his way.

"Gah"
He smirked again as he smashed into the wall. His already damaged gel took all the impact, making him feel dizzy as he changed course to the left. Wow, I sure go with the flow lately..
Rumble's black humour was only purposed to take his mind out of the pain. His psychotic side was trying to convince him the pain was good, and that one day it'd be avenged. With that thought in mind, the pain was contained to a level where he could think rationally.

The light Rumble saw blinded his eyes. It was so intense - and he was starting to get used to the darkness. The sewers unloaded him onto a river. Exhausted, Rumble floated on the coast. His levitation altitude was extremely low and he was shaking the water of his gel. with eyes still half shut. Suddenly, he heard a voice from somewhere ahead. A voice he had heard before, which made him raise his head abruptly, taking a serious expression.

"Well, if it isn't Rumble."

Hector Arcturus was standing there, among the trees, with the light behind him blinding Rumble. Rumble's eyes widened -as much as the light allowed him- in surprise, ruining his serious expression.

"What's been going on while I was gone?"

Rumble gifted him a grin with a calm smile, although he was still in pain. He glanced at the huge scar on his left ribs to check on it. Then he decided to remove all his weapons and gadgets from his body to look on the damages. Three seconds later, while taking off his armor, he replied to the Arcanine before him.

"I thought you were dead." Said Rumble. He shook his head and looked him straight into his eyes, while placing the armor on the ground. His small body inside his gel felt relief as the heavy armor was removed.

"I guess I was wrong. In this case, if you're alive, I'd want to talk to you about our plans and strategies. Mind givin' me a hand here while I fill you in on what happened the last week?"

He asked with all the dignity he could muster in his state, his voice sounding like a whisper on his last sentence. His grin disappeared, leaving a calm and plain expression on his face as he started removing his weaponry from his gel body while sitting on the ground. The big black spots from Khufu's Shadow Balls seemed like gray under the light of the sun.

"Me too. Now go, and prepare everything else. Check up on the others." Jack whispered in Mark's ear. He left the room and walked down the hall, almost getting trampled by a woman who was in a hurry. She looked worried. Mark kept walking, wasn't any of his business.

Mark left the prison and headed straight for General Ali, as he was the only person left to check up on. While making his way over to where Ali was he bumped into the new guy, Logan. "Ahem. Logan, I need to speak with you," Mark said "Your an important person in the Operation to get Oreburgh back in our hands. So now I guess i have to brief you on it. Follow me, please." Mark brought him back to the contest hall where his new map was still laid out. "I got to the meeting late, so I'll tell you the little i know, then. We'll be charging Oreburgh by means of Puma heli transports. The rest is pretty simple, just kick the pokemon out of the city, by means of billions of bullets. Got it, Good. I'll be leaving now." Mark walked out of the building and finished his original plans of finding Ali. Mark walked over to him, "Looks like everything is going well, I'll just be on my way then." Mark said before leaving

"I have no time for politeness. My name is-" said Abe, but he was interrupted by a strange sound from above. "What the h*ll is that?" Abe said, as one of these strange, black-winged objects flew by the Pokemon. Then, another followed. Abe, still looking up, said "Probably humans. That's no Pokemon I know of." said Abe. More came, and then, altogether, disappeared. "My name is Abraham Soule." said Abe, still looking up. "I'm headed towards Hearthome City, I am a member of the Pokerebellion."

"I was told that there would be other members here, and so I see it was not a lie. You can come with me, if you like. I can carry your friend, also." Abe gestured, removing his gaze from the sky. "But we should go now, those black devils will be back soon." Abe said, getting up and starting to walk.

Khufu restrained a laugh as two Shadow Balls penetrated Rumble's gel body, sinking in and leaving a blackish impression. He heard an unwelcome noise from above ground, and snapping his head back above to see --

He wished he hadn't. Three unfriendly-looking humans, each with an unfriendly-looking weapon, had surrounded him. Khufu's face dropped into fear as he realised how bad things looked, then glanced down at the manhole. It didn't look like it would be very pleasant to drop down through there, but it was his only escape. A human smiled a disgusting smile with his black lips and teeth, or at least the teeth he had left. He looked nasty to even humans, but to Khufu he looked even worse. "Looks like we got the PR General here. Let's give 'im hell," he remarked.

Another human, evidently the leader, held out a hand. By human standards, he would have been considered good-looking, but to Khufu, even he looked like a monster. The human's eyes were on Khufu, and he could see that he kept glancing at the manhole as if he was about to go through it. Moving quickly, the human picked up the cover of the manhole and laid it down where it belonged. He frowned as he realised his aim hadn't been perfect: it was slightly off-centre, so the sewers below were still visible through a crack between pavement and rusted metal. With his last escape being sealed off, Khufu had to take action now or give up. He was too proud to give up, so naturally, he took action. A quick Shadow Ball to each of the humans' heads stunned them long enough for Khufu to lift the cover away. It was heavy, and if it had been placed over the hole, he wouldn't have been able to lift it. But that tiny gap that meant it wasn't perfectly in place gave Khufu enough leverage to push it away.

There was nothing Khufu could hear except the voices in his own head, and they were coming from everywhere and mixing together, so he couldn't hear one above the others. They were congratulating him, scolding him, telling him what to do next, and expressing his own doubts, all at the same time. They were dispersed when he felt an immense pain in his side, and felt the blood oozing out the wound. The nastiest of the bunch, who evidently hated Khufu the most, had shot him, and kept firing. Most of them missed, but one more hit Khufu's shoulder. It took strength for Khufu not to cry out in pain. Fortunately, he'd pushed the cover far enough away so that he could fit down through it. Crawling through was painful, and it was hard to breathe, but after a short struggle, he felt himself falling into the sewers, then felt water all around him, sweeping him in whatever direction it chose.

Doubts reached Khufu's mind again. Rumble was ahead somewhere, no doubt, and his reaction to the one who'd just been attacking him would be unfriendly, to say the best. His eyes closed, and he focused on breathing deeply to quell the growing fear in him, as the blood leaked out and mingled with the nasty waters of the sewers. He felt weak, but just when he felt at the edge of consciousness, he heard far-off voices.

"I guess I was wrong. In that case, if you're alive, I'd want to talk to you about our plans and strategies. Mind givin' me a hand here while I fill you in on what happened the last week?" It was Rumble's voice, no doubt there. But from the words, Khufu knew there was someone else there. He had a hunch, and when he floated out of the sewers into a river, and his eyes got used to the light there, he turned out to be correct. Dragging his body to shore, he stumbled onto land and forced a smile at Commander Hector Arcturus, trying to ignore Rumble.

"Finally, you're back. It's been hard to manage this one, Hector. I'm seriously doubting his motives by now." He glared at Rumble with the trace of a smile in his expression, as if a threat. He wasn't sure how to back up his threat, but still, that didn't mean it wasn't a threat. "I accepted a new Medic into the PR, Mandel's his name. He doesn't know much, but I'll let it slide."

Mandel frowned at the machines fluing overhead, it would take more than a lucky shot with a solar beam to finish that thing off.

"My name is Abraham Soule." The large pokemon said.

"I'm headed towards Hearthome City, I am a member of the Pokerebellion." He continued.

"Oh good!" Mandel said. "so are we."

"I was told that there would be other members here, and so I see it was not a lie. You can come with me, if you like. I can carry your friend, also." Abraham said.

Mandel considered for a moment and then decided it should be fine. It was dark out now, if they were going to get to Hearthome city before tommorow they would have to leave now.

"Alright then." Mandel said.

"We were heading in that direction anyway."

Mandel looked down at Lydia. He couldn't carry her and he wanted to let her sleep... he decided to let Abraham carry her. He lowered his head and grabbed the scruff of her neck, he then gently lowered her into Abrahams arms, doing his best not to wake her.

"Just..... be gentle with her ok?" Mandel said, Lydia was his only friend in the world and he couldn't bear the thought of her getting hurt.

Mandel and Abraham began the walk to Hearthome city, they walked for a while until they saw the beautiful, old styled buildings before them. They didn't have long to walk now.

"So... Abraham..." He began.

"Why are you heading to Hearthome?"

Nighthawk Saloon

Evgeni sat on to the Bar stool, which was conviently open to him. The bar was empty this time of day, which Evgeni preferred. The bartender walked over to where Evgeni was seated and asked if he wanted a drink. Evgeni replied,

" A two-six of Stoli Gold please."

The bartender nodded and opened up a cabinet. After looking for a while, the bartender handed Evgeni a bottle of Stoli Gold. Evgeni opened it and began drinking. Evgeni threw thirty dollars on the table and left the Bar, holding his Stoli, taking the occasional drink. Evgeni walked over to the contest Hall, looking for something to do. He observed Hearthome City, which was well put together in Evgeni's mind. He sat down on a bench outside of the Hall, and took his last few drops of Vodka. Evgeni was angered by not having some Vodka in his hand and yelled,

" F***'n $***!"

Evgeni decided to throw the empty bottle, the bottle getting hit by a car. Evgeni saw another Soldier and walked up to the Soldier and asked,

" Hey, you got any Vodka?"

Evgeni read the soldiers nametag and it said Vargas.

Straining his head to view the town, and at the same time squeezing all his lower body muscles while breathing in a strange way that made it sound like he was saying “K-hic… K-hic” every three seconds Varik fought to keep the blood in his head while he pulled the high G turn. After circling the town and seeing nothing that would identify it as friend or foe he gently pushed the stick and pushed down on the right rudder petal pulling his jet into straight and level flight.

“Nothing here, turn to heading of tree-one-zero,” said Varik as pulled back the stick to climb up to join his wingmates. Varik looked back over his shoulder at the town real quick before focusing on his current heading. A minute later he checked his map to see where he was going then keyed the radio button on his PCL, “Human Republic, this is Hellion 1, 53th Fighter Squadron, anyone out there?”

‘Could the pokemon taken over this region? Were the Human Republic forces here? Did intelligence give him the right frequency,’ thought Varik. He sat there for a second then started moving his radio through several channels. Then it hit him… the Human Republic might be using civilian frequencies not standard military channels. Where the HR not a bunch of rag tag militias? He changed to his victor radio and started shifting through them until he hear chatter. Listening for a second he heard plenty of chatter discussing casualties, pokemon, and everything in between. Keying his microphone he announced, “Human Republic leader or someone of importance, This is Hellion one. I have birds in the air. Now will someone give me the location of some targets before I go home without firing a shot.”

--------------------------------------------------

Skyna released a wave of healing energy into a badly wounded Charmeleon. She tried to ignore the burning village that surrounded her. Once the town had been a beautiful little town surrounded in wonderful smelling flowers, but now it was a blazing inferno filled with the horrid smell of burnt flesh. Just then the Wish she had used earlier kicked in and the Charmeleon’s wounds closed up enough for Skyna to know the fire Pokemon would survive.

Pulling out some bandages from a pack she wore she covered the gunshot wounds that almost took the Charmeleon’s life. She then motioned over several Swablus that were perched on a sign that read “Floaroma.” Looking up are the four Swablus the Gardevoir said, “He’ll survive, but it will be a while before he can fight again… take him back to the main camp.” The Swablus nodded and picked up the makeshift gurney the Charmeleon was laying on and took off toward the south.

Standing up, Skyna looked around for more wounded. She began to walk through the town in search of those who would need medical attention. The town’s merger defenses had been easily overrun by the large Pokemon force, and the Pokemon causalities were minimal, in fact there were more medics than wounded.

Just then Skyna saw something that sent a harsh chill down her spine: the charred remains of a young human child. The body was so badly burnt there was no way to tell if it had been a boy or girl. The child’s body was curled up around something as if to protect it. Gently lifting the body with her psychic abilities she discovered a small doll almost untouched by the flames. Picking it up with her left hand she looked at the dolls smiling yellow face before looking down at what remained of the child that had protected the Pikachu doll. The doll had several food stains around its mouth from the child trying to feed the inanimate object, and its once bright yellow cloth had been faded away from being washed a couple of times. One ear had the signs of being torn, but someone one had carefully sewn the tear up. Why did the human child protect the doll with its life?

Skyna carefully placed the doll in her backpack before leaving the town. Who was right in this war? Both sides were as equally ruthless. It seemed total annihilation of the opposing force would be the only acceptable outcome at this point. Skyna remembered her abuse in the hands of her trainer, but then her thoughts drifted to the humans like that child who seemed to care and her friend from long ago. Skyna’s head spun… she hated the death and pain of the war, but it was needed to be free from the abuse from the humans. “Why is everything a shade of grey? Why can’t there be a clear distinction between good and evil?” Skyna asked the surrounding trees out of frustration. Hearing a loud roar she knew the Pokemon force was leaving to continue on to Eterna. Sighing she turned back toward the burning town to rejoin the others.
She didn’t want to be a part of this war, but she didn’t want to be a slave again either. It was the lesser of two evils and for now helping the fight for freedom seemed to be her best option.

Althalos Fizen
Eterna City
Police department

Everything happened at once. Suddenly , Althalos was pushed towards some pokemon, presumably the reason he was sent there, and then the building collapsed. A piece of roof knocked him flat and a police officer helped him up. Althalos ran outside to see the helicopter firing at the escaping pokemon, A leafeon, a Reinculus, Lydia, and a pidgeot. His helicoter chased after said reinculus, and anoter came up from the airbase and started following the pidgeot, who was carrying the other two. Althalos decided that the helicopter could handle that, but still hoping that Lydia wouldn't be killed or if so, swiftly. He started to run after the reinculus witha group of soldiers. they chased it into an apartment, where it proceeded to jump out a window. The gelatinous pokemon made it's way to a sewer and jumped in. Khufu was there also. He seemed to have injured the Reinculus. Althalos Stayed back as the soldiers ran over to him and one put the man hole cover back on, but missed a little. Khufu knocked out each of them promptly and manged to lift the man hole cover off. Althalos ran up and crawled into the manhole. Althalos watched as Khufu's red fur disappeared and went in that direction. He soon came to the exit, the light from outside very bright after being in the tunnel, gripping the wall, and found the reinculus, Hector, and Khufu, all together. He checked his weapons, the only one that would really work would be his sniper, but that wasn't going to be fast enough, and his pistol was long gone and empty if he still had it. He still had his hidden blade though. He decided he would use his sniper for one shot and then use the blade. He slung his sniper out and took loose aim at Hectors side, seeing as he was currently in the best condition, and the reinculus, who he now recognized from a past event, had removed it's weapons. He had to make this shot count and at least weaken the commander. He lifted the sniper too his face and scoped the pokemon right where his lung should be, at least based on human anatomy, and pulled the trigger.
