Jason had no friends or family to tell. So, instead he just kept to himself. He told Freeze to stay there with the egg while he went to fetch some food. He had gone into the city when he saw a small poster. It read, "The End Has Finally Come" and it had a picture of the scene last night. He walked inside a bakery and paid the man and then he asked, "What's that?"

"Oh. That's some bologna. Apparently, last night, there was this burst of light, and that meathead Tony Starlet thinks that it means the end of the world had come."

The baker handed him some bread and Jason left the city. But, once he got to the border of the small city, he saw them. Suicune was right there, but not in the form of Suicune. He was in the form of some young man. She had disguised the egg as a baby and walked in. He was taller than Jason, and his breath was cold. He had the same blue eyes as in his dog form. Jason pulled him aside.

"Freeze, what the blood are you doing here?"

"Calm yourself, human. I am here to accompany you on your quest for food."

Jason sighed, "I suppose it is better that you be in human form. Okay, come here, let's stay in the city."

"Does it not cost to live in a place such as this? How can you afford the toll?"

"I...my father. It's unimportant. Let's go, go, go!"

_______________________

Name: Ryan Granch
Age: 16
Gender: Male

Appearance: Standing at 5' 9", Ryan is lightly tanned and round of face. His eyes are a steely blue, sharp and rather glinting (is that even a word? You know what I mean.). His sandy hair is wild and all over the place, and everyday, it seems to be different. No matter how many times he attempts to run a comb through it, the comb always gets jammed half way. His eyebrows are thin and kind of streamlined, and overall neater than his hair. He has a round nose, and a thin mouth. His ears are slightly pointed and pink at the tips. He is thin and lanky in most parts of his body but has a slightly roundish yet muscular belly. His shoulders are broad and his body slowly thins from there, giving him an athletic appearance. He is scarred on the knees, and there is a long scratch on his neck from when he tripped as a kid and scratched himself on a nail on the sidewalk. His fingernails are short, but sharp. Ryan's wardrobe mainly consists of sports jerseys and gym shorts, and he is always found in sneakers. Around his neck is a necklace made ofshells and shark teeth.

History: Ryan is from the heart of Hawaii, and is the younger in a family of 4: Parents and an older sister. In the shadow of his prissy over achieving sister, Ryan was often mistakenly thought to be strong of body (this was true) but weak of mind and ambition (this wasn't). Ryan, as a child, was always treated as a baby who couldn't fend for himself: his parents over protective, his relatives and teachers over sympathetic. Frustrated by this, Ryan did his best to stay away from home, ignoring curfews set by his parents, and coming home only for meals and to sleep. Instead, he would go to school, where he was popular and was treated as a real human, and stay after for the after school sports and art programs, then head over to the beach with his friends, where they would surf till the sky was dark.

Personality: Ryan is a strong of body... And mind, contrary to the belief of most people (see history). Ryan is a creative child, with a huge imagintion. He tries to ensue his imagination in whatever he does: he is a star artist, an imaginative play maker when it comes to sports, and an ability to do 'beast surfing stunts'. Whatever he does, he does it with confidence. He is smooth with the ladies, and to his teachers he effectively uses his so called 'flaw'- he takes advantage of their sympathy to get out of trouble. He's painted the picture of an innocent boy with no thought of achieving anything in life. He is a polar opposite in reality, and has to make that clear to certain bullies who made the mistake of calling him 'Teacher's baby'. Torn between these alternate 'lives', Ryan is kind of short tempered: You could compare him to an elastic band- it can keep stretching, but eventually, it'll snap. When he does 'snap' he lashes out with words and torments them with his rage. This temper is also a result of his ravenous over-confidence and pride. He will fiercely deny accidents and always highlight his triumphs, attempting to strike jealousy in his peers. He is almost a zealot over himself, but lacks that cockiness found in people similar to him. However, almost controversial to his personality, Ryan is a glutton. He loves any kind of food, and will jump at any oppurtunity to eat. Eating is one of his favorite things to do.

Color(s) of Soul: Orange Red-Purple (more orange)

Legendary(ies): Moltres

Weapons: Two Katana blades.

Pokemon: Sneasel
Pokemon Nickname: Shaman
Gender: Male
Personality: Shaman is rather cocky, sarcastic and sometimes sadistic, insolent and bitter. He thinks he is the strongest on and off the battlefield, and when it is revealed to him it is not always so, he creatively ignores it. Shaman is funny and enjoyable, and (though he strongly denies it) innocently immature, but when in battle he is deadly serious and calculating, exhibiting an almost scary cool.
Moves: Shadow Claw, Scratch, Leer,

Legendary: Moltres
Nickname: Azuki
Gender: Female
Personality: Azuki is the more mature of the bunch; almost the mother of the pack. She is helpful and resourceful, wise and calm, powerful and deadly. She is a skilled battler, preferring strategy over straight out assault. She is a source of help and advice to everyone... Everyone who she trusts.

Spoiler:
Ryan stared at the choppy waves, his eyes like steel blades. The waves seemed
to bounce off of the ground, go sky high, then steeply back down again. It was conditions too rough for any surfer; the chances of him not falling off were almost none. He would be belched into the air, then brought back down and get mercilessly beaten by the raging waters. His friend Eric looked at the waves, and then at Ryan. Waves, Ryan. Ryan, waves. He knew Ryan was going to try to surf it, but it was worth a try to prevent him from commiting almost certain suicide. "Dude, Ryan--" he began. He only got so far before Ryan cut him off.

"Dude, I can pull this off. It shouldn't be that hard.... I mean, I've seen worse."

"Yeah," Eric said sarcastically. "You've seen worse, but you haven't rode worse."

"Exactly. So this'll be a first."

"You know that
you're gonna die, right?"

"Are you saying I'm not good enough for it?" Ryan's eyebrow twitched and rose upwards.

Eric blinked. There he was, off with his ego again. "No, I'm saying that any sensible surfer wouldn't do it. A good hero runs away to fight again. Or surf again."

Ryan smiled. "I'm not a sensible surfer." He ran off towards the churning water. Suddenly, he paused. He backpedaled and almost flew to a stand on the edge of the beach. He talked briefly to the man behind the wooden counter, produced some money, and exchanged it for something round. As he ran back to the water, he stuffed into his mouth. Eric looked closely, and saw it was a pastry.

Len watched her, Mew, fly around his bedroom. In his arms sat the egg, which still hadn't hatched yet. Mew, called Mii, was a very playful creature when she wanted to be. Len cocked his head slightly to the right. His parents weren't back yet. It was strange: his mother practically smothered him and feared if he was by himself he'd end up getting hit by a car or something, yet she was never home. He rubbed the egg in his arms. Next to them, the tiny TV blared.

Another silly news story, commented the pink feline creature as she twirled. We're not aliens or anything. There is one of us that can time travel but I haven't seen them in a while. Len glanced between the news article and her. Then he glanced down, a small gasp coming from his lips.

"Mii, the egg's moving...." True to word, the red and auburn egg trembled and was glowing softly.

Loosen up, Mii ordered. The boy obeyed, letting his arms move to his sides. A larger crack formed and the top of the shell began to move up and away from the rest. Eventually, it came off completely and there was a little creature sitting in the shell, covered in egg sac. It was a fox kit with one white tail. It yipped softly. Mii wrinkled her nose. Gross. You need a bath, she informed the baby, who yipped again. Len giggled faintly and picked up the creature, heading toward the bathroom. Mii followed, still looking faintly disgusted. Len had a feeling Allie would love it.

~~

Days passed and the creature, a Vulpix according to Mii, grew a bit more. Len called her Sarah, a strange gleam in his eyes at the name. Mii floated above the child's head as he typed on his computer. Suddenly, Len forced himself backward, shaking his head at whatever was on screen. Mii frowned.

What is it Len?

"Wrong," replied the boy, moving forward again. "That thing is wrong." Mii peered over his shoulder. The screen read: would you like to play a game?

What do you mean Len?

"It's wrong," Len repeated, clicking the "no" option. "This isn't a game." He didn't understand what was happening yet, but that much he knew.
"Perhaps I misjudged you after all."

-A loud metalic pang sounded loud in the mansion as a copper pellet rebounded off of a metal target, denting it and falling harmlessly on the floor. A silver haired boy, looking about 16 stood a few meters away, pointing his weapon at the dead center of the target. Seeing as the gun was spend, he jerked the revolver to one side, releasing the empty cylinder , and then aiming it vertically so that the empty shells fell out of the gun. He reached around, and out of a medium sized pouch at his waist, pulled out eight pellets, and placed them, each in their own slot. He pushed the cylinder back into place with his free thumb, then in a fluent motion, twisted, swinging his weapon arm, and pulling the trigger mid-swing, unleashing the pellet from the barrel.

From a slow motion point of view, one would see that the bullets path had been altered by its form of release, making it so that it curved around one of the pillars in his room and hit the manikin behind the pillar, causing it to fall to the ground on its back. Sky then dropped the revolver into his other hand, which he swung vertically and shot, causing the bullet to curve so that it hit the target behind him, dead in the center. He released the weapon, allowing it to fall before he snatched it from the air, and pointed it at the head of another manikin, shooting it directly in the back of its head. Smirking, Skylar looked around, and then swung the weapon around his finger twice, before placing it back into its holster at his waist. In his mind, those weren't just targets he had hit, those were people, and he had just killed them all, and he almost swore that he heard the "awesome" Texas guitar cord, that sounded in the old cowboy movies right after the hero had killed the villain in a standoff.

Smirking, he shook his head at the weak joke, and started towards the steps that led to the 3rd floor, his other room. This room, was a complete mural, depicting a world he often saw in his dreams. This world seemed to be filled with millions of strange creatures, none of which he knew the name of. The floor showed the grasslands, badlands, as well as the endless sea. The walls showed the vast forests and thundering volcanoes, who's smoke drifted into the skies about. The ceiling, which were the skies, was a blend of blue and purple, with few clouds dotting the skies.

He walked over to his work desk and grabbed his sketchpad from a drawer, before sharpening his pencil, and heading towards one of the windows that led out onto the roof. Stepping outside he expected to be welcomed with a cool night's breeze, and instead felt a snowflake flutter down and melt on his arm, leaving a drop of water in its place. The weird thing was that the temperature was about 85 degrees, the average of a summers day. He dusted off a small area, and sad down on the roof, looking up at the sky, his theory once again came back to bother him, and he began to feel a bit lonely, a side affect of his little theory that really couldn't be explained. What else was really out there, and what was he missing?

A sound resembling that of a sonic boom, and then a twinkle of light caught his attention, and he turned his head to look at it. As it got closer, it seemed to resemble a meteor... no not one, two, two of them heading towards him. He snatched his sketchpad from where it lay beside him and took a mental reference picture in his mind, preparing to draw. His hand in the pencil became a blur, flying across the limited space of the paper, catching every single detail that he could with his limited amount of time. Skylar frowned, seeing that he had drawn the first two meteors too big, and he looked up to get a better reference.

As he looked up, his eyes grew wide, and he dodge rolled forward, both the smartest and most stupid thing he had ever done in his life. Half a second later, the two meteor smashed into the spot he had been sitting, and landed in the art room, while Sky free fell towards the snow white grown, which he guessed was soon to be painted red. As he took one last look at the sky, he snickered lightly to himself. "What a waste" he thought, "I never got to see that place..."which was the last thing he thought before he closed his eyes. At the last second, two figures emerged from the hole in the roof, and sped towards him at an unreal speed.

When he opened his eyes, he was laying in his bed in the art room, staring at his depiction of two creatures, one red, and one blue on the ceiling. He looked over to his work desk and saw that his sketchpad was still in the spot he had grabbed it from only a few minutes before, and so he began to think it was only a bad dream... that is until he began to hear voices.-

"When is he going to wake up? Or his he dead or something?" One said, a feminine voice, filled with concern. "Nah, there's no way, since we caught him before he hit that weird dwarf thing in his yard, stop worrying too much..." This different voice sounded masculine, and a bit hesitant, as if he was trying to reassure himself.

-Sky swung his legs over, and stood up, a bit shakily at first, but he eventually steadied. His vision was also a bit blurry, but it was gradually coming back. He arched a brow as he beheld the two floating creatures before him, looking back up at his painting, then at them. The red one laughed slightly pointing at the painting of the blue one.-

"Latios, he made you look kinda fat, haha." The blue one growled slightly, before uttering a retort, "Yeah well, he made you skinny, but forget that. There is a reason we are here." This caused the red one to pout, grumbling under her breath. "Your no fun brother... but it is true." She then floated over and handed a letter to Sky, which he took slowly, expecting it to blow up in his face. He eventually began to read.

"I write these letters... in hopes that anyone can answer my plea. My world... it is dying. The sky has forgotten sunrise. The inhabitants are falling, falling to this strange song and slipping into the most bloodstained of madness. My world is tearing itself apart. If this goes on... both our worlds will die. I can not stop her any longer. By the time you read this I am certain she will have captured or killed me. The creature who carried this to you is a Pokemon. In that egg with it is also a Pokemon. Please, with these two, please fight to protect our worlds. Please... end my sister's life before the Gods raise her up to immortality.

Child of Wishes, Aiko"

"Egg? What.... oh, didn't see that there." He walked over and picked it up, examining its blue and black design. He then walked over to his bead and was about to put it down before he remembered something. "That letter said... letters... how many other people are there?

-The two pokemon looked at each other and shrugged, causing Sky to close his eyes and shake his head slightly. But still he couldn't be annoyed, what he had been waiting for had finally happened! "Perhaps... perhaps I won't be alone anymore..." he thought, looking at the two bickering siblings-
((Jeebus Krust! It's finally done!!!))

(ooc: alright! I'll try to catch up to where the others are.)

It all started with the weather. The intense heat. The big flash. And the flaming bird hugging a red and black egg to it's stomach.

Ryan was slumped in his chair, shirtless, breathless, and sweating. He looked at the thermometer to his side. Just turning his head was painful. He squinted, narrowing his eyes to slits. The mercury was all the way up to the top. It was more than 150 degrees out there. Way too hot. Hawaii was mad hot occasionally, but Ryan hadn't seen temperatures this high since... Actually, he had never seen temperatures this high. He didn't want to surf; the water was probably boiling. This was one of the rare occasions he had been left home alone, his parents saying he wasn't responsible enough and that he wasn't ready yet. Ryan shook his head. He was 16. He wasn't 3 or anything. He hated it when people thought he was a baby.

Ryan looked up at the sky, thinking about a surfing move and when he would get up to get an apple from the kitchen, when all of a sudden the sky seemed to flare. A brilliant light lit up the heavens, temporarily blinding Ryan. "What the heck!?" Ryan said, instinctively shutting his eyes.

When he allowed his eyes to flutter open, he saw a strange sight before him. Ryan had seen many things, some strange, some wierd, some akward, but this took the prize. in front of him was a giant bird. It had long, thick tan feathers, and it's head crest was on fire. It's wings were flaming as well, the tendrils of fire slightly shivering. It's head was bent, almost tucked into it's chest, and it's long beak rested on an egg.

The egg was blacker than night, with streaks of red running along it. It was shiny, almost glazed, and the flames from the bird reflected on it, giving it an otherworld-ly look. It was the size of Ryan's head. Every now and then it seemed to slightly pulse.

The bird looked up. It passed a piece of paper to Ryan.

Ryan skimmed through it, his eyes narrowing as he read it, skipping a majority of the letter.. For a long time it was quiet, an akward silence in the air. Finally, the bird spoke. "Have you read the letter?" The voice seemed to be layered, seeming to contain several other voices speaking slightly out of sync. It's voice hinted at ancient wisdom.

Ryan jumped when he heard the voice. He stared at the bird, awe-struck. "W-w-what are you?" He seemed to speak almost in admiration.

The bird sighed. "Read the letter." This time, Ryan read it fully. He blinked. "Child of Wishes? Gods raising her sister to immortality? Two worlds?" He spoke with a sense of disbelief. The bird seemed to sense his disbelief. "This egg and I are proof that this is not a hoax."

Ryan finally looked up. "I'm Ryan."

The pokemon dipped it's head. "I am Moltres. You can call me Azuki, though."

Ryan nodded. "Well, let's go inside, then." He led Azuki into the house. She looked around. "Nice house," She said appreciatively. Ryan shrugged. "I try not to be here a lot."

Hiding Azuki from Ryan's parents wasn't much of a problem. The bird would stay in the house, and when Ryan's parents arrived, Azuki would high tail out of the front door an soar into the forests. Ryan would go in to the forest and talk with her. He surfed with his friends less often.

As for the egg, Ryan kept it with him, hiding it in his backpack and under his bed. His friends were curious about the big bulge in the bag, and the media came over once or twice, saying that his flashes weren't the only one and assaulting him with questions, but Ryan managed to fend them all off. It became very annoying.

Then, a few days after the flash, when Ryan was in the woods with Azuki, the egg, which was in his hands, started to shake. It was slight at first, but gradually got more vogorous. Cracks started to appear. Azuki watched intently. "It's hatching."

Suddenly, the egg burst open. A small, humanoid pokemon appeared. It's eyes were closed. It was completely black, except for a few red feathers on it's head. An amber jewel sat on it's forehead."He's a Sneasel." Azuki said. Ryan smiled. "I'm calling him Shaman."

As he said this, the pokemon opened his eyes. Mischevious eyes stared at Ryan. Then a ball of spittle flew out of the mouth. "Sneas Sneasel!!" It hit Ryan square on the face. Ryan looked at the small pokemon with a mixture of amusement, annoyance and excitement.

Another ball of spittle hit Ryan on the face. This time the look was one of annoyance.

"Alright, the troublemaker is gonna need some food," Ryan said. "What do you think he eats, Azuki?" Azuki looked at Shaman, who was now raking his claws through the dirt. Azuki shrugged (Well, made a movement involving the base of her wings rising.). "I don't know... How about giving him some eggs?"

A minute later the pokemon was shoving piles of scrambled eggs into his mouth. As Ryan stuffed his servnig into his mouth, Azuki was staring at the computer. "Ryan, you've gotten an email."

"From who?"

"Anonymous."

Ryan paused and flicked egg bits from off his lips. He got up and clicked on the notification. The email opened up.

Would you like to play a game?

"Very shady." Ryan said.

"It could be a trap." Azuki replied.

"Gahfoo Sneasel wahooey!" Shaman
said.

Ryan shrugged. "Well, I guess we could play the game. It could... It could... Um... Lead us to something." He said uncertainly. He replied, saying he'd play the game.

"What did you do that for?" Azuki was no longer her calm self. "It could be a trap!!"

"We're just going to have to get out of it then."

"Sneasel..." Shaman said soberly, almost as if agreeing with Ryan.

-On Terrence avenue, everything seemed to be normal. The teenagers were returning from highschool, and the sun was already beginning it's decent. Well, almost everyone had left, save for 1 redhaired girl and two boys, who had gotten into a little trouble in the lunch room. Sky and the other two teens exited the highschool via the front door, Sky snickering about somthing, the boy looking a little annoyed. Sky burst out laughing, and the girl did the same. Sky's eyes were growing tears as he attempted to speak.-

"I hoped you learned your lesson Latios, you don't throw food at people just because you don't like them. What's worse is that you got us in trouble too, but that was fun, so its okay."

The blue haired boy, or the disguised Latios grumbled and crossed his arms defiantly. "I didn't like the way he looked at me..." "So you threw the cheeze cake at his face?" Sky responded, still unable to remove his smile.

-The red haired girl, or the disguised Latias stopped laughing finally, and attempted to stop the little argument, saying. "Hey guys, why don't we hurry up? I want to see if the egg hatched yet, or if it's about to."

Sky thumped his own head, chastising himself for forgetting about the egg. "Your right, yeah we should hurry."

-Without another word, Sky sped off down the street, making a sharp right and dissapearing behind a corner, leaving the other two disguised pokemon to try and catch up with him, calling for him to slow down.-

-------------------------------------

-The door of Skylar's house burst open, as he ran up the stairs two at a time, until he reached the art room. Looking around, he sighed in dissapointment, seeing the egg still on the bed where he had left it in the morning. Latios and her sister appeared in the doorway, panting, unable to say a word as they caught their breath. The first thing that came out was the realization of the difference between running and flying. Sky turned to them and shrugged, before diving into the bed, next to the egg.-

"Well, since we're home, you guys can change back. I, am going to catch some shut-eye time." And without another word, he passed out on the bed.
-------------------------------------

-Several hours later, Sky was awoken by a shaking under his right arm. His eyes snapped open when he remembered the egg, and he turned his head so that he could look at it. The eg had several cracks, and it was hopping all over the place, so Sky had to make a diving catch before it fell on the ground. Pieces were falling off of the egg ,and Sky yelled for Latios and Latias to come, which after a few minutes, they did, and after they saw what was happening they rushed over. Latias put a comforting hand on Sky's shoulder, smiling lightly.

Sky himself felt a mix of happiness, fear, awe, and uneasyness. Different questions zoomed through his mind, regaurding the pokemon in the egg. "Would it like him? How would it act? What would he feed it?". These questions were soon interrupted as the egg burst open, revealing a blue and black pokemon. Sky turned to Latias, a questioning look on his face. She seemed to know what he was asking, and said simply, "Riolu." When Sky didn't move, she nudged him forward.

Sky stumbled before steadying himself and walking forward slowly. The small pokemon looked confused, surveying its unfamiliar surrondings. When it saw Sky, it jumped back, and began to growl. Sky didn't falter, and instead, he knelt on one knee, and held his hand out to the Riolu. It stopped growling, staring at his hand for a moment, before looking at Sky for a few seconds, and then walking forward, and hugging his hand. It then climbed up his arm, and settled on his head, looking down at him, causing Sky to laugh slightly.
"Welcome to the fam, buddy."

Name: Rina Hendrix
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance:
— Skin: Caucasian
— Head: Rina has dyed her hair light pink. It falls just above her shoulders and is held back by hairclips on either side of her head. Her eyes are a soft hazel colour.
— Height: 5'5"
— Body: Her activity level is enough to keep her slim and fit. She's kind of muscular, not so much that it shows, but enough that she can exhibit a decent amount of strength when necessary.
— Upper: She always rotates between her many designs of graphic tees. She doesn't really own any other kind of shirt... She also wears a charm bracelet on her left wrist all the time.
— Lower: She usually wears a pair of jeans or shorts. She also has about five pair of coloured Converse sneakers that she rotates through. Her favourite ones are purple.

History: Rina grew up in a nice little house with her parents and her two older brothers. Having two brothers, she was always more into sports than dolls. Not that she was a tomboy or anything (she still likes to wear a dress every once in a while) but she certainly wasn't a girly-girl. She has always loved to try new things, so she's already been rock climbing, zip-lining, and white-water rafting. Her adventurous nature sometimes made school seem a bit boring. The same routine every day got old pretty quickly. She sometimes skipped school to hang out with friends at an amusement park or something. Even though her parents scolded her for doing so, she still continues to sneak out sometimes. She does have a good relationship with her family, but her desire for an adventurous life sometimes causes arguments between her and her parents.

Personality: Rina is a bright girl who absolutely adores a challenge. Give her any excuse to try something new or push her limits even further and she will take it. Her hair seems to reflect her lifestyle; she often dyes it different colours or cuts it in different ways just to see if she can pull it off. She is very energetic and doesn't like to laze around doing nothing. She is very open and social when it comes to meeting new people and tries to make everyone feel comfortable. However, if she is nervous, Rina will begin to talk nonstop. She is a forgiving person, but if you do get on her bad side, she will likely stop speaking to you.

Color(s) of Soul: Red

Legendary: Raikou

Weapons: None

Pokemon: Azurill

Pokemon Nickname: Minni
Gender: Female
Personality: Minni is a shy little pokemon, liking to hide amongst all the pillows on Rina's bed.
Moves: Splash, Charm, Slam

Legendary: Raikou
Nickname: Tiger
Gender: Male
Personality: Like the thunderstorms he represents, Raikou has one heck of a temper. If he gets angry, expect to see dark clouds rolling in. He doesn't like humans very much, except for Rina, who is the only one he trusts.

RP Sample: It was Saturday, and Rina and her brothers had just arrived at the amusement park. It was going to be a full day of adrenaline and excitement. As soon as they got in to the park, she ran straight for the biggest roller coaster she could find. "So guys, how's about we go on this one? Looks cool, right?" Even her older brothers looked a bit unnerved by this ride. "Oh, come on. You're not scared, are you?" she teased. After that comment, they both suddenly became very eager to ride this coaster. "Works every time." thought Rina. They got into their seats and the roller coaster took off. Rina had never been on a ride that went so fast! The feeling was amazing. Unfortunately, the ride was over almost as soon as it had started, and they all walked towards the exit with slightly wobbly legs. The two boys looked a bit pale, but once they stepped off the exit ramp, Rina spoke up. "So... wanna go again?"

Rina had been pretty bored all day long. School had been cancelled because of the intense thunderstorm happening right where she lived, and she hadn't been able to leave the house for the same reason. The storm had been going nonstop all day and only stopped about half an hour ago. Rina decided to head outside and breathe in that fresh rain-scented air. For some reason, air always smelled better after it had just rained. It sounded weird, but it was true.

The sky was beautiful that night. All the rainclouds had finally disappeared and lots of stars were visible. There was one star in particular that was brighter than the rest. Strange, it actually seemed to be moving. Rina squinted in order to get a better look at the star. Maybe it was a meteorite? Whatever it was, it was moving fast... Really fast. And it was getting larger. "Oh my god... It's heading straight for my house." she whispered to herself. She wanted to run inside and tell her family, but she found herself unable to move out of fear. She simply stood there as the bright light got closer and closer until it was about to crash, right in front of her. She closed her eyes and braced herself, but nothing happened. The light behind her closed eyelids became dim and faded away completely. Rina slowly opened her eyes and couldn't believe what she was seeing.

In the place of where a crater or a meteorite would have been, there was a big yellow tiger. Or at least something that looked like a tiger. The creature had a grey mask on its face, a long purple mane, and deep red eyes... eyes that were looking straight at her. It dropped a piece of paper it had been carrying onto the ground and looked from it to her. "You... want me to take it?" The tiger nodded, apparently understanding her. Rina picked up the piece of paper, not sure what else to do. She was talking to a space tiger. Obviously she was going crazy, so why not play along and see what happens?

I write these letters... in hopes that anyone can answer my plea. My world... it is dying. The sky has forgotten sunrise. The inhabitants are falling, falling to this strange song and slipping into the most bloodstained of madness. My world is tearing itself apart. If this goes on... both our worlds will die. I cannot stop her any longer. By the time you read this I am certain she will have captured or killed me. The creature who carried this to you is a Pokemon. In that egg with it is also a Pokemon. Please, with these two, please fight to protect our worlds. Please... end my sister's life before the Gods raise her up to immortality.

Child of Wishes, Aiko

This must be some kind of joke. What the heck is a Pokemon? She'd never heard the word before. She turned her gaze back to the tiger. "Are you, like, a robot or something? Or a hologram?" She looked around to see if anyone else was around. "Come on, who's there? Who did this?"

"I am unfamiliar with the things you speak of. I am a Pokemon, as indicated in your letter. My name is Raikou.

"Woah! What the heck just happened?" Rina exclaimed. "Did you just talk to me?"

"I can communicate with you telepathically, yes. But now is not the time for this. You must take this egg and raise it. We must all become ready for the events that are to come."

The girl looked down and saw a light blue egg resting on the ground between her and the tiger-pokemon-thing. She knelt down to pick it up. It was soft and cool to the touch. "Oh my god. This is real. This is actually happening right now." She stood back up, the egg in her arms. She looked into the pokemons red eyes. "So... have I just been chosen to be some sort of world guardian or something?" she said in disbelief.

Raikou seemed to smirk. "In essence, yes."

Meteors and conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories and meteors. So, apparently just because a bunch of strange meteors fell recently, the government is attempting to take over the world or something? Really? How fascinating. Karalienda came as one of those meteors... and the letter did say letters, so maybe those other meteors were also other Pokemon? Well, it was possible.

At first I didn't even want to go to school, because I didn't want to leave the egg at home. I eventually put it out of my mind, as both my mom and Karalienda could take care of it while I was gone. I was so excited when it had hatched. Cracks had started to suddenly appear all over it, and it had started glowing. Once it had stopped glowing, there was a little white seal in its place. A seel whose name was apparently Seel. How creative.

The Seel was a girl, so I had named her Dewdrop. She had seemed content with the name, but she also just seemed content all around, so I just assumed she was okay with it.

I was currently sitting at my desk, surfing the internet on my computer. Dewdrop was sitting in my lap, her tongue half way out of her mouth. I pushed it back in, she stuck it back out. I pushed it in again, she stuck it out again. We repeated this for a little while, somehow I still managed to use the computer while I was doing it. After a while I just ignored it, Dewdrop had won.

Soon after the tongue war had ended, I got this weird email that asked if I wanted to "Play a game" and nothing else. I mean, ew? What if it was some weird hooker, or just a really dumb game, or maybe it would turn out to be something like Saw, which I wasn't interested in. I clicked No, and I desperately wished I could have bolded the No button and increased its size by a thousand.

OOC: And here I thought this was dead.

Chapter 1.2:

School cancelled, due to heat.

"God-freaking-dammit." I grumbled to myself, reading the sign in front of the school. The mercury rises to an inane 45 degrees and those heat strokes cancelled school. My bag was heavy enough and for some reason that confuses the hell out of me, I felt compelled to bring the egg with me. Insecurity, I guess. At least I brought an umbrella, or this would be unbearable. I find myself sipping on my water more and more and trying to make some form of air circulation by flapping the solid blue polo I had changed to. The heat made it too hard to open my eyelids much so I wasn't really paying much attention to my surroundings. All I could hear was the sound of cars trying to leave this frying pan place and the buzzing of cicadas.

I had planned on re-reading the note today when I had the chance. Well, may as well read it now on the way back home. I reached into my pocket and grabbed the note. I only half read it last night. Luckily there's been almost 0 wind these past few days, so it didn't go far.

I write these letters...

It says letters, plural. If she's referring to this note that means that other people may have this too. Does that mean they have an egg and a beast too? Are they anywhere near me? Did it all happen on the same night?

...in hopes that anyone can answer my plea. My world... it is dying. The sky has forgotten sunrise. The inhabitants are falling, falling to this strange song and slipping into the most bloodstained of madness. My world is tearing itself apart.

This is where it gets interesting. This person, 'Child of Wishes' Aiko, is in a world different from this one. Does she mean planet or universe? She can speak English, that's a good sign. Another thing, this world is dying, and she's calling me and I guess everyone else who has a note from him/her/it. Something about a song that makes people go crazy. I can't tell if it's a metaphor or it's literal...

If this goes on... both our worlds will die.

This is what baffles me the most. I don't see how un-ending chaos in another world can somehow destroy this world. Sure, there are wars going on, but that's the way the world works. It's not like I'll go insane. Or maybe it's like a mirror thing. Where if one is destroyed, the other one gets destroyed too. I can only guess...

I can not stop her any longer. By the time you read this I am certain she will have captured or killed me.

Who is her and why she didn't give a name as to the evil mastermind behind this? That's anybody's guess.

The creature who carried this to you is a Pokémon.

Oh, so that's what that beast was.

In that egg with it is also a Pokémon.

I wonder if it's another giant, lightning bird?

Please, with these two, please fight to protect our worlds. Please... end my sister's life before the Gods raise her up to immortality.

Child of Wishes, Aiko

Okay...

I'm getting a beast and a beast in an egg to fight a demigod before she becomes immortal. And the last person who did this is in a dungeon and/or dead?

...

Considering there are more people with this same note, maybe I can have them handle it. Then again, between me and the common person, this Aiko person must be a freaking genius.

But Aiko left out one detail. When does this start? When do I come into the picture? Will there be a signal? Do I have to be pro-active? I know you were probably dying when you wrote this, but you left out some damn important details.

I put the note back in my pocket. Even if I have to be proactive, I don't have any leads. The only thing that happened was the light, the Pokémon, the egg and the note. The light is gone, the egg probably isn't hatching anytime soon, the Pokémon isn't here and I've already read the note. Shoot.

Chapter 2:

I had finally gotten home. I went upstairs, showered, and changed into a fresh, striped polo that flipped between grey and black and blue jeans. I was totally beat, but there was a test coming up that I didn't really need to study for, but I did out of sheer habit. After about 10 minutes I ran out of bottled water and went downstairs to grab something to drink. Down there, I heard this on the news.

"...locals are abuzz over strange occurrences happening over last night. Witnesses, including this reporter, reported the sky turning bright white for a fraction of a second. Several minutes later, more people reported seeing lightning, when there wasn't a cloud in the sky. As documented by this amateur video, the lightning was coming not down from the sky, but from the floor up. While this may seem physically impossible and, until that night, it was, rest assured knowing that if any new information is up, you'll here it first. This is Maria Beederman for INA News."

The news report ended. I guess everyone saw the lightning the large bird caused. Back upstairs, I was sitting at my laptop, finishing up by looking at external resources, sipping on a bottle of soda. All of this seemed so mysterious. What is going on? That's when I noticed I had gotten an E-Mail. I opened it to see this:

Would you like to play a game?

YES.NO

Okay... This is weird. There were some instructions included if I said yes. Considering normal people don't send E-Mails to random strangers asking them to play a game, I'll just assume this probably has something to do with me saving the worlds. No harm in saying yes anyway, it's not downloading anything or asking me for bank information.

Yes.

-Latios pounded the buttons on the keyboard furiosly, looking at the screen intently. The cool air from the air conditioner in Sky's art room, seemed to be helping slightly with the sweat that covered the disguised pokemon's face. Below, one could hear the crashing of some glass object hitting the floor, as well as Sky's "HELL YEAH, nice whatever attack that was!" and Latias's uncontrolable laughter. Pac-man was a very intresting game, according to Latios who was on the 85 level. Sky and the others below had been "training" as they called it, but from what he could hear, they were only goofing off.

Riolu seemed to be getting along with everyone just fine, except for Latios. He was always bothering him, interrupting his pacman games and causing him to start all over again. Then when Latios would try to get his hitbacks, Riolu would just run back to Sky and act all innocent, and of course, Sky would buy it, well at least sometimes. Right as Latios was coming to the last few pac dots, Sky's email popped up, indicating there was a new message. The music from the game was not sounding either, so for now it was paused. Sighing, he threw up his hands, before getting up and floting downstairs.-

"Hey Skylar!, you have a new email!" Yelled Latios, a twinge of annoyance in his tone. Sky gazed in Latio's direction and nodded, before walking up the steps to the third floor, his Riolu following close behind, along with Latias. As he sat down, and began to read, he realized there was nothing to read, only this little message.-

"Would you like to play a game?
Yes/No"

-Sky shook his head slightly. He never really liked games, as they always contained rules. Rules tend to bind people, and for Sky, that just would not do. Sighing, he looked to Riolu, who had what seemed to be a huge smile on his face. He loved games, absolutely loved them, and Sky had thought it had something to do with the pokemon. Sighing slightly, he clicked the yes button, causing Riolu to shout in victory. As Skylar moved away, and Latios began to start his game, he noticed that the music hadn't stopped because it was paused, but because he had been eaten, the moment the message came up.-

"NOOOOO WAAAAYY!!!!!" Bellowed Latios, smacking the moniter off of its stand, and onto the floor, busting it.-

Millie had been faking sick so she could watch the egg. She had been sitting in front of her laptop, egg in her lap, looking up trailers for the latest Sonic The Hedgehog game.

"You mean to tell me that you named me after an evil version of a fictional character?" Scourgie whined, whilst reading a copy of Sonic The Hedgehog #195

"Yes. And PLEASE don't touch my comic books!" Millie replied.

Scourgie walked away from the comics and poked the Power Button on the television set.

"Numerous incidents of UFOs, Meteors, and strange weather have been reported around the globe..." Scourgie fell off the table in surprise, having never seen a television. Millie chuckled at Scourgie. "Eye witnesses have reported lighting and meteors falling into peoples back yards..."

The hair on the back of Millie's head stood on end. She pointed the remote and turned it off, and reached into her nightstand's drawer and pulled out the paper from before. She scanned it over again.

"So.. let me get this straight. This crazy weather and other stuff is a hole in the space-time continuum that sent you, this egg, and probably others from the Pokemon World to not only my back yard, but other peoples as well? But... do you know where the others would be?"

"You're a smart one, child." Scourgie replied. "However, I cannot tell you about the others. You will have to wait and find out."

Millie suddenly felt a nudge on her lap. She looked down, and noticed a crack forming at the top of the egg. "Scourgie, is this thing hatching? What do I do?" Taking notice, Scourgie hopped onto the bed. "Don't move" Scourgie instructed.

The egg hatched, and on Millie's lap stood a small yellow rodent, with large diamond-shaped ears that had black stripes across the top. What caught her eye was two red dots on it's cheeks. "Piiitchyuu?" it cried tilting it head. Millie shrieked a bit. "Oh, GOD! It's so CUTE!" She then hugged it.

"That, my child, is called a Pichu." Scourgie said once the hug was over. "It, however, is not a legendary like I am."

"So he's not going to be as strong as you?"

"No. That's not to say, however, that he won't be useful."

"I see... Scourgie, you're a girl right?"

"Yes."

"Is this Pichu also a girl?"

Scourgie moved closer and sniffed the Pichu. "This one is a boy."

"Just as I figured..." She then looked the rodent over. "How about I call you ChuCheek?" The Pichu did a cute spin and hugged her.

"Who's that one from?"

"What?" She quickly realised what she meant. "Oh... well, I like the 'Chu' in 'Pichu', and those little red cheeks are adorable!"

"............"

Suddenly, the laptop dinged, indicating new mail. No sender, no Subject. She opened it.

"Would you like to play a game?
Y/N"

Millie raised an eyebrow "Why do I have a feeling this has something to do with the impending adventure?" Before she realized it, she had clicked yes...

The next day, the weather had returned to normal and school resumed as usual. As much as Rina was glad of the opportunity to finally leave the house, talking with a tiger from space was much more interesting. She pretended to be sick until her parents left for work and her brothers went off to school. As soon as everyone was gone, Rina got dressed and went out to the old shed in her backyard. This was where she had chosen to hide the tiger... or rather, the Pokemon. There was nowhere else large enough to hold a creature that size. Right now, almost the entire contents of the shed were strewn about the yard from the previous night’s hasty effort to hide him. Thankfully no one had noticed yet, but that wouldn’t last very long. She opened the door to the shed and stepped inside.

“Okay, Tiger. You really need to explain what’s going on, because I’m super confused. What exactly am I supposed to be doing?”

Raikou grumbled at the use of his apparent ‘nickname’. He was used to being shown much more... reverence. “My name is not ‘Tiger’. As I told you before, it is Raikou, and I’m afraid I do not know much more about our future than you do. All I know is that my world is in trouble, and we must attempt to save it, or else your would will perish as well.”

“Well, you look like a tiger to me, so that’s what I’m calling you.” For Rina, giving the Pokemon the name of something familiar brought at least a bit of sanity into this situation. “So we’re just supposed to go out and save the world? Two worlds?” She sat down and re-read the mysterious letter from Aiko. Unfortunately, it remained just as confusing as before. Except... “This says ‘I write these letters’. Plural. There are more?”

“Yes. I am not the only legendary pokemon to be sent to your world in search of help. There are others, though I am not certain how many.”

“Well, that sucks. A bit more detail would be really helpful right now...” Just then, a thought occurred to Rina. “Hey, I could just check the TV! If there were more of you falling from the sky, it would be all over the news. C’mon, follow me!” The girl rushed out of the shed and back into her house. She went to the couch and turned on the TV while Raikou made his way through the living room, trying not to knock anything over. “Look! It’s all over the news!” The news channels were full of stories about falling stars and meteors. There had been at least ten sightings last night, if not more than that.

“Is there any way to locate where the other pokemon have fallen?”

“Unfortunately not. The newscasts weren’t precise enough to give a location on the other meteors. I guess we’ll just have to figure that out for ourselves. In the meantime, maybe we ca-” Rina was cut off by the sound of a car door slamming. No one was supposed to be home until the evening. It was only mid-afternoon; why was someone home already?

Whoever was home started to unlock the front door. “Rina, honey, it’s me.” her mother called. “I came back to see how you were doing.” The door opened and Vanessa Hendrix stopped dead in her tracks. She glanced back and forth from her daughter to the giant beast in her living room, utterly confused.

“Mom, PLEASE don’t freak out. This isn’t as weird as it looks. Well... yes it is, but I can explain.” This wasn’t going to be an easy conversation, but there was no avoiding it now.

Now the results of your decision...

Post A: (for accepting): You are to reach an alleyway, where a person waits for you. They ask for your Pokemon, claiming that the letter was not meant for you. You refuse and they continue to attempt persuasion before switching to force, retaliating with a Pokemon of their own. You have to fight but you lose horribly. Do you manage to escape or are you caught? The person is very cryptic, speaking of "what must be" and "interference being forbidden" and "a traitor's words". Make of that what you will.

Post B: (for refusing): You are minding your own business when you hear scuffling in an alley. Now this is nothing new so you prepare to keep walking. However, something is very wrong. Your Pokemon goes running inside to see someone being attacked by what has to be another Pokemon. Its eyes are quite different from anything you've seen before, glazed over and ferocious. You try to do battle. Do you lose and run or do you manage to chase it away?

In both the Pokemon is your choice.
"Perhaps I misjudged you after all."

-Sky's head thumped against his skull, causing him to growl slightly under his breath. He had been like this ever since he had clicked yes to that stupid email. Still he could find no way to pin the two together, since you can't get headaches from computers... well usually anyway. It was a saturday night, and he still wasn't doing anything, not like he had too many friends to do stuff with, seeing as Bianca had gone to the Bahamas for the month, and Kyle was in the hospital with a broken leg from a skateboarding accident. Latios, and Latias had been napping for the past hour and a half, and Riolu... well yeah he was awake, downstairs still breaking things.

Ever since that email, some kind of compulsion had grown in his brain. It kept on pulling at him to go somewhere, but he still didn't even feel like moving. He had some sort of feeling that if he did go, the thumpng would stop, and maybe he would be able to think clearly for once. Okay, that was it, he had to make it stop. He was already dressed, so he just slipped on his socks and shoes, and began walking down the steps. As he came down to the 2nd floor, the Riolu stopped mid jump, and tilted its head to one side looking at Sky. Sky sighed looking at it for a second, before speaking. " I'm going somewhere real quick, want to tag along?" The Riolu nodded with a wide smile on its face, before jumping into Sky's backpack, which he picked up and slung onto his shoulders.

When outside, he began to walk in a certain direction, not really knowing where he was going, but walking by instinct. It wasn't long before he arrived in front of an allyway, and looked around before walking inside. It was fairly dark inside, as if the sun that had been on his back had suddenly switched places with the moon but still, there was nothing and no one there. He was about to turn to leave, grumbling that he had left his house for nothing, when he heard a voice, coming from the alley. Squinting down it, he saw what seemed to be the form of a man, probably a mugger Sky thought.

Before he could start to run, the man began to speak, saying, " You are the receiver of one of the letters are you not? I have called you here to release the burden that was laid upon you, for we were mistaken. You were not meant to be chosen."

-Those words echoed in his head. Skylar wasn't meant to be chosen? It was just a...a mistake? No that was impossible, those meteors had been aimed straight for him, Riolu had accepted him as its trainer. How did this man even know about the pokemon? Was he the one who sent the email? Before he could think of more questions, the man continued.-

"Release your pokemon and give him to me."

Sky took a step back and clutched the straps of his bag protectively. The man's voice seemed slightly autotuned, and his eyes seemed dull. He definently was not human; there was no way he was giving Riolu to him. "No, back off." growled Sky. The man reached behind his back, pulling out some kind of orb from his pocket, saying, "Give me the pokemon, now, or else." He then threw the orb at Sky, who was about to dodge when it stopped in mid air, and released a red beam of light, that manifested on the ground in the shape of some kind of thing. After a few seconds, it solidified into the shape of some kind of white furred fog with something sticking out of its head.

Sky himself had little warning before Riolu jumped out of his bag, and landed in front of Sky, narrowing his eyes and growling at that white dog, which Sky guessed to be another pokemon. The man's tone grew more autotuned, and also more hostile. "There can be no interference! You will be assimilated."

After a great game, Archie was heading home for the evening, his bat in one hand and his backpack hanging from the other. The little Kabuto was peeking out and looking around. Passing by a back alley, he heard what sounded like a fight. Not wanting to get involved, he continued on. Suddenly his backpack was a lot lighter, and he looked down to see Brick scurrying into the alley. Archie quickly followed, "Hey, get back here."

Archie stopped talking and stared at the strange creature in the alley, which seemed to be attacking someone. He dropped his backpack and held his bat in both hands as it looked away from its previous target and glared at Brick, who was a few feet in front of its trainer. The new creature appeared to be some sort of large blue mollusk, with a swirly snail-like shell. Its eyes seemed frenzied and wild. Was this another Pokemon?

Suddenly, the mollusk curled up in its shell and sent itself rolling at Archie and his Pokemon. Brick hid its face in its shell and the rolling attacker ramped off of the shell, sailing through the air at Archie, who deflected it with his bat off of reflex, the bat recoiling from the impact and smacking him in the face. Landing off the the side, it seemed to prepare for another attack. Archie backed up, "Uh, Brick. Could you fight back or something?"

Upon the command to attack, Brick quickly charged the foe as fast as its little legs could carry it, then threw itself into a spinning attack. The two shelled Pokemon bounced off of each other, the mollusk one bumping into a fence. It wasn't long before it entered another rolling charge, and Brick seemed to take the same defensive tactic. Getting an idea, Archie took up batting position behind the Kabuto. When he tried to bat it over the fence however, it proved too heavy, and the bat was wrenched from his grip and sent clattering to the ground. Unarmed, he backed away from the opponent again. This fight was clearly at a stalemate, both of them were blocking each others' attacks. The mollusk charged Brick again, but the defensive tactic was still proving effective. Grabbing his baseball bat in one hand and throwing his backpack over his shoulder, Archie picked Brick up in the other hand and made a break for it.

As he ran, Archie suddenly had his feet knocked out from under him, as the creature shell-tackled him from behind. Falling over on his back, he was glad he was wearing his backpack to cushion his fall. Brick tried to get at the mollusk inside its shell, but this time was caught off guard and knocked on its back by the charge. Getting up and picking Brick off the ground once more, Archie tried to run again, this time getting around the corner before he could be attacked. Still tired from the game, he couldn't quite run all the way home, but the foe seemed to have stopped chasing him. He sighed in relief and carried Brick in the backpack again, arriving home after a short walk.

Ryan swore under his breath, wrapping his arm around the tree he was climbing and using the other hand to deftly pluck the wooden splinter in his palm. He glanced above him to look up at Shaman, who was already on the top branch. The pokemon looked down sarcastically, and rubbed one claw against the tree in a bored manner. Ryan sighed. The whole afternoon he had been racing Shaman up trees, each one on either side of the trunk. Azuki was in the house, sitting in Ryan's bedroom, probably meditating. Ryan's parents were at an unexpected conference at work.

Ryan slid down the tree, his teeth clenched. As he hit the ground heavily, Shaman jumped nimbly from branch to branch, and landed on his toes. Ryan wiped sweat off his forehead. "Let's go inside."

They walked back in through the back door- Ryan slumped over, his back hunched, mouth agape, eyes half closed and each step a heavy shuffle, while Shaman strode in, chest out, cocky smile plastered on his face. Ryan groaned once, then clumsily grabbed a coke from the fridge, left the door open, and hobbled to his room. Shaman peered inside the fridge, stabbed an apple with a claw, took ti out, and slammed the door shut. He took a bite out of the apple, and followed Ryan.

Azuki was in Ryan's room, hovering over the bed, eyes closed. "Ryan, you've got an email from our friend anonymous." Ryan grunted in acknowledgement and slumped onto the chair. He straightened and looked the email. He clicked the notification bubble, then read the email. Ryan's eyebrows arched slowly upwards. "Says here I have to meet him in Davy's Road..." Noticing the confused look on Azuki and Shaman's face, Ryan continued. "It's an alleyway. Pretty close to the beach." Azuki shook her head. "Don't go. It's a trap. I can feel it." Ryan shrugged. "We can get out of traps. Me and Shaman are going."

And so they went. Azuki wasn't coming along, as Ryan wasn't sure how the public would react to a giant flaming bird. Shaman could fit into a large backpack, and so, strapping that on, they strolled to Davy's Road.

"Here we are," Ryan muttered. Ryan squinted, and at the very back, he could make out a human-like shape. "I think that's who we're meant to meet." Ryan walked forward.

The man in front of them was pale, thin and gaunt. He almost looked like a glass statue; if he was tipped over, he would shatter into a million pieces. His waxy skin looked like saran wrap on a metal frame, and he had milky eyes that seemed to stare into all eternity. A thin brown fuzz- hair-covered his head.

The man gave Ryan a shaky smile. "Hello, Ryan."

Shaman popped his head out of the bag, and narrowed his eyes. He gave a small growl.

The man's smile widened. "And Sneasel. Hello, boys."

Ryan stayed mute.

"Alright," the man said. "Let's get down to things. You were the wrong person. The letter wasn't meant to go to you. Release Sneasel."

A pang of surprise hit Ryan, but he concealed it under his ego. Why wouldn't he be chosen. Instead, he asked "Are you the one who sent the email?"

"Are you going to release your pokemon?"

Ryan frowned. "No."

The man glared at Ryan. "Boy, I have no time for this. Give me the pokemon!"

"No."

"I will do what must be done. No interference! Die, Ryan Gorhoff! Go, Linoone!" At this, he produced a red and white ball. He pressed a button on it, and a red ray shot out, materializing in a sleek weasel shaped creature. Ryan assumed it was a pokemon. It was tan, and brown stripes ran across it's body. Sharp blue eyes stared at Ryan. Almost instinctively, Shaman jumped out of the back pack and landed in front of Ryan. Ryan grinned. "Time to kick weasel."

Paleface smiled. "Good bye, Ryan Gorhoff. I will handle the pokemon, then take care of you. Linoone, use Quick Attack!"

One second, Linoone was there, and the next second it wasn't. Linoone had jumped forward, then turned into a blur, speeding towards Shaman.

"Shaman! Do something! I know... Uh... Ummff... Ah! Spin around like a ballerina, with your arms extended and claws out!!!" Shaman looked at Ryan quizically for a second, then nodded. Shaman gave an icy glare at the speeding pokemon, then stuck his arms and claws out, and started spinning. The linoone, having gained too much momentum, sped straight into the claws. Slash!! Linoone almost flew backward from the force of the blow. A long gash ran across it's belly. "Boo yeah! 1 point for Ryan!" Ryan screamed, doing a little dance.

The man frowned. "Useless creature. Use Iron Tail, and this time actually hit the opponent!" Ryan raised one eyebrow. "Harsh."

Linoone nodded, then closed it's eyes. When it opened them, it's tail was shiny and looked like iron. Linoone then rushed forward, jumping forward. Linoone stuck it's tail out in front of it, looking almost like a hornet. "Shaman, dodge!" Ryan yelled, feeling helpless. It was too late. Linoone raised it's tail, and slammed it on Shaman. Shaman fell to the floor, whimpering, and rolling in pain. The corners of the man's lip rose to form a grim smile. "Super effective. I'm actually surprised it didn't make Sneasel faint. But enough of these games. Linoone, ThunderPunch!"

Linoone stood up on it's hind legs and reared up, pulling back it's front legs. One 'fist' glowed yellow, electricity crackling and sparking off of it. Then Linoone punched Shaman square on the stomach. Sparks flew and after they cleared, Ryan could make out Shaman sprawled across the floor, fainted. "Crap," muttered Ryan. He scooped up Shaman, and stuffed him in the back pack. The man smiled. "You see? Your efforts were fruitless. Linoone, kill." Ryan didn't answer. Instead, he furiously thought for a way out of this mess. The man had ordered the weasel to kill him. He coukd fight... No, he'd lose. Ryan wished he had listened to Azuki and stayed home. Or, if Azuki was here, he could have pounded that Linoone.

Linoone stalked towards Ryan.

Ryan thought harder. He could knock out the man...

Linoone moved closer.

He had to run. Ryan knew Hawaii better than the man. He would lose him in the backroads, then run home.

Linoone rushed forward. Ryan bolted, running towards the main road.

"Hyper Beam! Kill the boy!" yelled the man, who was far behind, his breath coming in heavy bursts.

A ball of energy appeared in Linoone's mouth, getting bigger by the second. Sparks flew in an out of it.

Ryan ran faster, making a sharp left, then turning into a backroad. He was safe.

A minute later, Davy's Road exploded in a blast of light. Debris flew out from the alley. Ryan heard a shrill scream.

Ryan didn't stop running until he reached his street. Panting, he stumbled to his house, opened the door, went inside and closed it.

A second later, the click of a lock locking and the sound of bolts being drawn into place could be heard.
