How about I just throw this into VG since just talking about the 1 Pokemon game that might be possible doesn't get a lot of attention here, which is the wrong section to post this. Look. Advance Generation. For POKEMON. Specifically Pokemon, not this whole jumbo of other games.

Oh GOD, not THAT rumor! Kirby has luckily not been announced, but the fatso might make an appearance in one of his kiddy and overly easy misadventures. SMA4 has also not been announced, and I would be severely disappointed were it announced. I would rather have the classic game than the remake, because for some reason, I prefer the old pixellated graphics. A Pokemon game would be possible, because apparently communication is possible, but I'm guessing(and hoping) that Zelda: The Minish Cap will be announced for the ambassador program.

Kirby and Mario Bros. 3 rumor wasn't true so you could take those two off your list. Nintendo itself said that that rumor is false. But I'm still hoping for Amazing Mirror :) Best Kirby game ever! They may include one Pokémon game which I think would be Pokémon Emerald. I'd more likely get Fire Red but as it's a remake and there's original games too, so I don't think Fire Red makes it.
But there's still many better games on GBA than Pokémon games so I don't mind if there's no Pokémon if there is something like Fire Emblem and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga :)

@Elgyem: Beat Kirby's Dreamland for GB with one energy in Hard mode. Then it isn't that easy anymore :)

Anyone has Club Nintendo codes that you don't need? I want those.
If you have one code for me I can trade you my Explorers of Sky code as I can't put it because I have registered already one. (Registered my brother's game and now I can't register mine...) Someone have same thing? PM me.

I doubt that they'd actually put a Pokemon game in there- That would mean they have no plans to release it to the general public. I get the feeling that they'd want the general public to buy that. In addition, the restrictions that would place on possible multiplayer functions would, in a word, suck. I'd much rather see something like an English translation of MOTHER 1+2.

I also think that they won't put a pokemon game in there since it would be wasting a potential good seliing game.

Huh. I've actually tried that before on my emulator, and I thought that it was quite difficult and that it made the game 100x better. The whole "customize the difficulty" feature in that game was really a great idea. But besides that game, in my opinion, the Kirby games are way too easy. I borrowed my friend's Squeak Squad, and I beat it in 1 hour. Granted, that was soon after I beat Megaman ZX Advent, an insanely difficult game, so that might have something to do with it... Now that I think about it, Megaman 2 and/or 3 would be great Ambassador NES games.

And HOW THE BLOODY HELL did the 4th choice get 1,000 votes?!?!? Someone's been a hacker...

Kirby games are way too easy but I still enjoy them almost as much as Mario games.
And as a sidenote, I don't like the Megaman games. I have played Megaman 1-5 but never finished even one, I got bored after killing 2-4 of the bosses xD

You're talking about the virtual console releases for the program, right? Only ambassadors will ever get GBA games. They don't have plans to release them elsewise. If I had to pick between Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald, I'd pick Emerald because it wasn't sold as a pair.
They never said they won't, they've only said that they have "no plans" to do so. They have "no plans" for a lot of things they eventually end up doing.

I wouldn't ever imagine them releasing GBA games to the public, but I'm not ruling it out. That being said, I'd love Pokemon emerald to come out for 3DS, because I've only played it on emulators :s... but highly unlikely IMO.

I don't believe they'd put a Pokémon game on that list. They know that of all the GBA games they could rework for virtual console, Pokémon would be the one to get some of the most sales. They wouldn't give it away for free when those early adopters are among the most likely to actually spend more money on it. :x Most of the games on the list are either crap or have been re-released several times already. I just don't see any of the Pokémon GBA games making the list unless they were spin-off titles and the GBA didn't have a whole lot of those.

edit: Whoever multiplied the result of the fourth option by 1000, I'm on to you. :P

Well, Metroid Fusion is neither a rerelease or crap.

If they release any Pokemon title for the ambassadors, it'd probably just be something like Pinball and not a real title.

I really can't see them giving us a mainstream pokemon game, as we can buy almost any region available, save hoenn which should be getting a remake in a couple years. although i could see pokemon pinball (ruby and sapphire) for giggles. or maybe red rescue team. either one would be fun but i doubt that it'd actually happen.

i'm just happy with yoshi's island and wario tbh, both are really fun games p;

i don't think they would put any of the pokemon games on just because they were still selling them new when i was in japan last year, they might even still be. if they were going to put gba games up for sell, then i would say the gba pokemon games will come after they release the gb and color versions first.
my guess for the remaining 5 are...
kirby nightmare in dreamland
advance wars
golden sun
warioland 4
f-zero maximum velocity

Nintendo of UK said that the GBA games will be transferable so, probably everyone will have them by the year after they're released everyone will have them.

I want Pokémon LeafGreen. Badly. I would give up my Wii for it. I should mail Nintendo about it. Anyway, the current selection of games are good. I am sure to be playing the NES ones, however the GBA ones suck so far. I WILL be downloading them, though, as a memento.
You want LeafGreen?!?!? Firered and Leafgreen are like the original Red and Blue...without the glitches that make the game actually playable these days! They are boring, the sprites and overworld areas are way too colorful, big, and bouncy, and you can't even evolve a Golbat or Seadra until you get the national dex! I could rant about this game all day, but you nostalgia freaks will just say that they are perfect games! And Metroid Fusion, Yoshi's Island, and Warioware Inc. Mega Microgame$ suck?!?!? Sorry, but they won't be including RBY and GSC (they aren't GBA), so you can't gush about the so-called "perfection" of those games as you play them on your 3DS. However, I would highly appreciate Minish Cap and Link to the Past to be made available. Since they might include multiplayer, I could play 4 Swords with my other Ambassador friends, which would be loads of fun.

nintendo stated that the gba games have no wireless, but don't fret. Nintendo is releasing a port of 4 swords in september. It's free so you get to play with all your friends that own a dsi, dsi xl, and 3ds :) i'm gonna play with friends

(edit: I now see the post above mine but I'll leave in this question for the sake of discussion.) Would Nintendo release anything that would be gimped by the obsolescence of the link cable? A mainline Pokemon game in the Ambassador program would mean no trading, no battling friends, etc. While I doubt Nintendo would expend the effort, it's possible that they would plan to retool the GBA games to be able to use multiplayer features through 3DS communication. If that was the case, it's unlikely that they'd be rushed out with the set of strictly single-player titles the program is receiving so far.

Well, Metroid Fusion is neither a rerelease or crap.

If they release any Pokemon title for the ambassadors, it'd probably just be something like Pinball and not a real title.
Yeah, no matter what Nintendo gives away as part of the program it's going to be something that early adopters and serious fans would have likely purchased anyway because they're only offering first-party titles, which are obviously always very lucrative.

I do see them stepping around their absolute highest AAA-tier GBA titles like Super Mario Advance and Minish Cap. "Side" franchises like Mario vs. Donkey Kong and WarioWare are of high quality but are overshadowed by many other of Nintendo's GBA titles. We'll probably see stuff like Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Mario Tennis in the other slots.

Yes, how dare someone want a game that they enjoy to be part of the Ambassador program.

It would be great if they included wi-fi and voicechat with this, I could shout at people for hoarding rupees and tell people what to do if they couldn't figure out how to do something. It would be a great online experience, but it most likely won't happen.

Sorry. LeafGreen has a special meaning to me, being my first game. It rocks. Nostalgia freak? Heh, I haven't played the originals. You make me laugh. And I hate the originals, to top it off. Sorry, I love LeafGreen. Even Blue won't do. FireRed will do, a little. Ruby won't. Gold Won't. Nothing will do. There is no game more enjoyable than LeafGreen for me. Nostalgia? I call BS.

I'm pretty sure they won't give us a Pokémon game, but I could be wrong. Anyway, they are releasing GB/GBC titles on the Virtual Console, so they will probably sell Pokémon Red and Blue somewhere down the line, which kind of rules out FireRed and LeafGreen. After all, they were the best selling games for the GameBoy. If they do give us a title, it would probably be Pokémon Emerald because it isn't in a pair, and they could offer other titles. They say they don't have plans to release GBA games, but that doesn't mean they won't eventually put GBA games on the Virtual Console.

Also, to the person who wanted Four Swords, Nintendo announced that they would be releasing it for DSi and 3DS for free in September for the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda at E3.
